Chapter 73 Friends

Cassy's POV

"Adrian said we have to go now, it will be dangerous if we stay here longer," Drena said after he turned off her phone. The classes have already ended and the sun has already set.

I nodded and Claire stands straight from leaning on the wall. This girl always looked so cool! However, I can't understand how did she become Xenon's lover if their attitude is very similar. I'm curious how they talk... oh well.

The moment we opened the door of the rooftop, Xenon's silhouette appeared on the side leaning on the wall with his hands in his pocket. So cool! See? He stands straight the moment he saw us and stares at Claire behind us.

Drena and I continue walking as we passed him. Tch, he just came here to see Claire.

"How's your class?" I heard Xenon asked.

"The same as usual," Claire answered. Why am I listening to them!? I closed my ears and continue looking straight. I'm bitter so I ignored them.

It's partly dark the moment we got in front of the door of the Insigma Fighters Mansion.

"Go on Cassy, you open it," Drena said as I am the one closer to the door. My heart is beating so fast, I hope he's not here. Not now.

I opened the door to see it so dark. I can see a little but it's not clear. "Cassy turn on the switch!" Drena yelled but she's not that far from me to yell. Tch.

"Yes ma'am!" I yelled back. When I turned on the lights I was shocked to see what's in front of me.

The living room is full of pink floating balloons and even on the floor... but what shocked me the most are my stolen pictures.

When I heard the music my heartbeat started pounding so fast. It's my favorite song!

I walked towards the nearest floating balloon with my stolen picture. I remember this! 3rd day of my second year, the moment when...

"Remember when you throw a coin in the fountain but you slide and fall on the water?" I looked above the stairs to see Coby wearing a suit while holding a bouquet of flowers and a wireless microphone in his right hand. I can't help but cover my mouth in mixed emotions. I slowly nodded. "That's the moment you caught my attention, Cassandra. The first time I laughed for a long period of time. You made me alive that day and I will never forget it so I took a picture of you."

My vision becomes blurry from the water that's pulling to fall down from my eyes. I looked back to see the pictures. There were moments that I ate ice cream and moments that I laugh while talking to Drena and many more... wait... is he?

"After that day it becomes my hobby to stole pictures of you every time I see you around. It's just a picture of you Cassandra but it makes me happy. I'm afraid to talk to you or come closer to you because... I-I'm afraid to fall in love. Coz' I know Cassandra, I know I will fall for you if I got closer to you..." He said while walking down the stairs never breaking our eye contact.

"Why?" I asked but it turns out to be a barely whisper. Why is he afraid to fall in love? I didn't realize a tear falls down from my eyes. The man I thought would never notice me... is the man who always sees me secretly.

"I was a broken man Cassandra until I saw you. A girl who I thought loved me was just using me to get near my friend. I was used, I was played, I was hurt and I don't want to get back to that days again, I'm afraid." He's walking closer towards me. "And that girl... is the girl you saw this morning. She thought I still love her because she wants us back, but I said no because I... I love someone else and she's nothing to me anymore. But, she suddenly pushed me, and... that's the moment you saw it." I'm crying... I was wrong... I did not give him a chance to explain earlier. Wait- love?? Someone else?? I think my heart will explode. No, maybe it's not me... I'm becoming a feeler.

I can feel my cheeks burning the moment I saw him kneel down in front of me "No please, get up." I tried getting him up but he won't.

"Just let me, Cassandra." He said so I let him as he bowed his head "I'm sorry I caused you pain. I'm sorry I made you wait. I'm so sorry you got to see me flirting with girls, I'm sorry I hurt you... I will not do it again." I'm partly confused with his words, did he know? He looked up and I saw once again the handsome man that I always loved. "I won't deny it anymore, I love you Cassandra from the moment you caused me to laugh until the days you made me smile." Why does this man know how to make me blush? Wait- He...he loves me!?!?!? I bit my lips stopping the overwhelming emotions I have right now.

"Please forgive me... for reading your diary and please give me a chance." He pleaded and I gasped.

"You-you read my diary!?!?" He really knows how to destroy the moment! Agh! Huhu my diary... Shame on me.

"I'm sorry," He stands up and defended himself "It wasn't really my intention to read it but I saw my name so I got curious and-" he stopped as he bowed his head when I slapped him hard.

I heard a gasp coming from Drena, and whistles from other boys while I saw a glimpse of hurt from his eyes which made me sad.

"That's for flirting with girls and hurting me." He suddenly looked at me, confused. I slapped him once again on his other cheek, this time not too hard "That's for invading my privacy."

I softly hold his cheek and made him looked at me. I tiptoe and pecked his lips as I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him tight "That's from loving me." Loving this man feels so right.

Then I felt him hugging me back... tightly. "You will not regret it. I will make you happy the best that I can." Dream come true.
