He caught me with a grunt and I breathed in his scent as I held onto him trying to calm down and tell myself I was with him again. I pulled away slightly not being able to ignore the pained look in his eyes.

"What happened?" I asked him softly and as if I flipped a switch he began sobbing. My heart wrenched at the sound and he held me tighter as he cried on my shoulder.

A lump formed in my throat as he whimpered, "They killed my mom. Then my dad made me kill him so he could be with her. They're gone."

I felt tears run down my cheeks and I hugged him to me.

I held him for a long while before I finally mustered up the words to speak again.

"I'm so sorry Kaden... I shouldn't have gone. I should've just stayed here, I--" I began and Kaden pulled away with a horrible growl.

His watery eyes locked with mine and a fire burned in them. He shook his head furiously, "Don't you dare blame yourself. It wasn't your fault. It's no one's fault but those damned rouges." He growled and pulled me close. I pulled away from him and looked up at the man I was utterly and completely in love with. My heart pounded.

"Kaden, I have to tell you something... I was pregnant with Noah's child. I wasn't sure he was alive but he's okay. His name's Julius..." I said and my voice shook.

"Where is he?" Kaden asked and I felt tears in my eyes.

"Asleep on the bed." I said softly and the Alpha nodded slowly.

Kaden's POV

I looked at the sleeping baby on the bed and didn't know what to feel. He looked like Noah and the thought made me growl inside.

"Th-they just cut him out... it hurt so bad. There was so much blood... he wasn't ready to come out." Amelia whimpered a tortured look on her face.

"They thought he was yours... I thought they'd killed him." She huffed with a bitter smile.

"I'm scared I may be barren now. The wounds took a long time to heal. And I don't want to be barren..." Amelia cried and I pulled her into a hug.

My chin laid on her head and I rubbed her back. As heartless as it made me appear I was annoyed this child would be staying, after all his father had tried to kill me. But if she was barren I would be pissed, not at her of course, and I could tell by the look in her eyes that being so would destroy her.

Part of me wanted to tell her how Noah really was. How the bastard had tried to kill me and how he talked of her.... But now didn't seem like the right time and I was scared I'd hurt her even more by saying it.

"I'll take you to the pack doctor. She'll check you out okay? Everything's going to be fine." I sighed and kissed her forehead. But I was now dreading the visit.

"I hope so. I want a child with you." Amelia breathed and Knight growled.

Why don't we just bed her? No protection whatsoever. I'm sure we'd find out if she's barren or not. Knight grumbled inside me, his longing on a rampage and lust taking over him. I looked down at Amelia and sighed. The aspect was tempting.

"Dammit I missed you. So damn much." I groaned and kissed her. Her arms hugged me close and I smiled.

She looked up at me and a confused look came to her eyes.

"What?" I asked her gently.

"Your eyes..." she said softly.

"What about them?" I asked.

"They're blue..." she said and cupped my cheeks. I frowned and blinked and she gasped.

"Now they're gold again. What was that?" She said looking at me quizzically and I shrugged.

"Hell if I know." I said shrugging and my mate gave me a long puzzled look.

We sat in the doctors office and Amelia held onto my hand. We'd been waiting for some time and we were both growing anxious. Julius was in my free arm his little hands pulling at my shirt. I looked at him and his brown eyes locked with mine for a moment before he started teething on my shirt and I huffed.

Finally the door to the room opened again and the doctor entered wearing a solemn look. My heart dropped.

She walked over and paused in front of us.

"Alpha, Luna, the damage done was great. It's healed, but the results are inconclusive if you're going to bare a pup." Amelia tensed beside me and I put an arm around her trying to comfort her.

"That doesn't mean you won't be able to Luna. We're just not sure." The doctor said quickly and my mate relaxed a little.

"You'll be fine." I said softly and kissed her forehead.

"Maybe." She said softly and a soft growl rumbled in my chest.

"You're fine." I growled and looked to the doctor, "Leave us." I said and with a nod she was gone.

I grabbed Amelia's shoulders and looked into her troubled eyes.

"Baby you're going to be fine. We can try and if you can't I'm still going to love you." I said sternly and she nodded softly before leaning in and kissing my lips urgently.

"Besides we've got Julius." I said motioning to the boy who had slobbered on my shoulder. She smiled before it slowly disappeared.

"I'm scared." She gasped as she pulled away and I laid my chin on her head.

"Don't be." I said and hugged her tightly.

Goddess I just wanted her to be happy. I needed her to be happy.

"No one's gonna harm you, not while I'm around."

Amelia's POV

I walked outside and let put a breath. I was feeling like a house had been dropped on top of me. Though I wasn't wearing any sparkly red (weren't they actually silver?) shoes.

I'd left Kaden inside somewhere. He'd tried to comfort me, but he didn't get it. Julius was asleep in our room.

This was my fault. I chose to sleep with Noah. I didn't make sure we had a condom. It was my fault I'd been pregnant, my fault may be barren...

I made my way around a male walking towards the house.

"Ow!" I yelped as the man stepped onto my foot. His eyes widened and he quickly moved before placing his hands on my shoulders.

"So sorry Luna. I didn't notice we were so close. Are you alright?" He asked apologetically and I nodded.

"That's a relief." The male said softly and was moving his hands when a growl made him tense.

"Amelia, I heard you-- Why are you touching my mate?" Kaden's voice growled and I glanced over to see him standing behind us looking furious.

Kaden snarled and launched himself forward. Blue flames shot from his white paws but he seemed not to notice or care as he tackled the man to the ground.

His chops pulled back to show glistening fangs and his eyes blazed blue.

I watched in shock as he gripped the man by his arm before flinging him to the side. Kaden's fiery eyes locked on the man before he bolted towards him and tore into the gray wolf he'd changed into.

The wolf whined and laid on his back showing his neck and trying to surrender, but the alpha wasn't having it.

"Kaden! Stop!" I yelled and tugged at his fur. I jumped back as he turned and the blue flames licked at my hands.

My alpha looked at me with his raging blue eyes and I gasped, "He was only trying to help. He stepped on my foot. What are you doing? What is this? You're on fire." I rambled glancing at the blue flames covering his paws and creeping slightly up his legs.

The male wolf wriggled out of harms way and ducked behind me as Kaden glanced at me curiously before glancing down at himself. He let out a shocked grumble and hopped back before gazing at his paws in confusion.

He huffed after a while and turned back into his human form a confused look on his face. His hands and feet still a blue blaze.

"Shit." He said and patted at his hands. It did nothing to the fire.

"Are you okay?!" I asked freaked out that he was on fucking fire.

"I'm fine." He said softly.

HOW WAS HE FINE?! HE WAS ON FUCKING FIRE!

"Get him some clothes please." I informed the male still crouching behind me and with a nod he scurried off.

He returned quickly and handed me the clothes.

"You--get the fuck out of here." Kaden snapped at the male. He backed away his eyes wide.

"I'm sorry, go; thank you for the clothes." I said and laid my hand comfortingly against his head before he sprinted off. Okay, my mate was calm about this, it didn't seem to be burning him, so I could be calm as well. Right?
