Chapter 100 Preparation
KIA
I was asked to report to the dean's office shortly after finishing my meal in the cafeteria. To perform at the level of an ace requires an incredible amount of effort. I am constantly required to complete a number of errands, and, if I am being completely honest, this is slowly draining the energy out of me. Miaree is not here with me because she needs to return to the classroom where we are having the next part of the lesson because it is almost time to begin. As I was walking to the dean's office, I became aware that those looks will now follow me wherever I go. It doesn't matter where I go, they will always be there. It was a little strange, but there was no reason to be concerned about it. I just feel uncomfortable sometimes.
When I walked up to the door of the dean's office, the assistant to the dean greeted me and said, "The dean is waiting for you inside." As soon as I walked in, I noticed the dean was enjoying one of her go-to drinks while she was sitting on the sofa.
"I hope you're having a good morning, Dean. They informed me that you would like to speak with me..."
“Yes. "Wait, let me just finish this," she said as she looked down at her beverage. She then proceeded to ask, "Alright, did Mrs. Vega tell you about the project that you need to do?" (Alright, did Mrs. Vega tell you about the project that you need to do
"Yes, dean… But I have a question, dean…”
"Go ahead, Ms. Saavedra. Oh, you're right, I totally forgot about that. Please take a seat. Thanks. Do you want some drinks?"
"Thank you, but no, I'd rather not. I've recently returned from taking a break in the cafeteria, and before I leave, I have a question for you: "What are you hoping to accomplish by carrying out these actions?"
Her expression was one of bewilderment as she looked at me. She questioned, "Doing what, Ms. Saavedra," in response to her previous statement.
"Making her work with me on a project as my collaborator?"
The question should be asked, "Why not? Do you not think that putting the two of you together would be a good idea? Bringing the two of you together in the same community will be beneficial to you both in making amends for everything that has occurred in the past. And in addition to that, she has already come clean about everything. She even apologized for the difficulty she had caused you by the actions she had taken. Ms. Saavedra, I am fully aware that what she did was completely unreasonable, but as the new ace, it is your responsibility to see to it that no student on this campus is subjected to unfair treatment.
"Dean, if she is the one who doesn't want to reconcile everything, I don't think we will be able to fix it. I don't think we will be able to fix it. I have no doubt that she did not carry out those actions on her own, nor do I have any doubt that they were not primarily motivated by her desire to get even with Mr. Ramirez. Clearly, there is more to the story than what she has been letting on to everyone else. I don't understand why she was claiming that the whole thing was her idea, but, dean... Isn't it strange that she just came out of the blue and confessed that the whole thing was her idea?
It's possible that she was troubled by the events that transpired. In any case, it is your responsibility to ensure that everyone on campus is treated equally.
"If you make me an ace, it makes it unfair for everyone else," I said to the Dean. You want them to regard me as their leader while also respecting me. Your purpose in reintroducing the ace into the game won't be understood by all people. And in addition to that, why do we even have to go back to the previous system? Is it not unfair to the other students, who will then be placed in the lower tier? It's possible that the middle and high tier players will pick on them, Dean...
There is a significant problem with each and every aspect of the levels. The school will be thrown into complete disarray as a result of this, and I can be sure that they will despise me for being the best because of it...
She got to her feet and immediately reached for her phone. "I invite you to accompany me."
After I had followed her, she started talking to me out of the blue while we were walking. "Ms. Saavedra, I didn't intend for you to become such a formidable opponent. It was predetermined to be your fate from the very beginning. When you obtained the highest score possible on the test, it began at that point. Having demonstrated to everyone that you are deserving of that position... She abruptly entered a room and then motioned for me to come in after she opened the door to the room. That location served as an office. Due to the fact that this room was always kept locked, I have never had the opportunity to enter it. This was our ace's old office when he was with us. Each and every ace who intends to serve the campus will be required to create her own government. consisting of seven different people in total. You will receive assistance in leading the campus from those seven other members. Because of this, it is vitally important for you to give it a great deal of careful thought. It goes without saying that you don't want any spies or double agents on your side. That is something that absolutely no one would want. We believe that having an ace build her own team and manage the students will help to bring more fairness and peaceful years for the students. At first, I shared your concern that the levels would merely bring an increased level of anarchy to this institution. The most recent holder of the ace position is living proof of this prediction. Why? mainly due to the fact that she lacked the ability to lead. Because she was unable to effectively direct the students, the entire educational facility descended into anarchy as a result. The higher students pick on the students in the lower tier, which makes the situation extremely unfair for the students in the lower tier. However, I can tell by looking into your eyes, Kianna, that you are ready to take charge of the other students. Then she went on to say.
However, Dean, I have never been in charge of anyone before. Every single group project forces me to take on the role of leader, which I abhor. The truth is that I am not the ideal candidate for this part...
"Ms. Saavedra, in order to reign over everyone, you do not need to be perfect. You simply need to have the courage and determination to stick with your position, and everything else will fall into place. I am going to give you some time to think about the members of your team that you would like to have on your squad. When you are ready, simply send the names to my office, and I will sign them so that you and your team can begin exercising authority as soon as possible. But I am warning you, Ms. Saavedra, that having power is not an easy responsibility, and if you won't be careful enough, the position might be the one who will control you rather than you controlling everything...
That makes perfect sense, but I just can't get my mind off of how challenging the work really is. I am well aware of how significant of an opportunity I am being presented with right now, but should I even pursue it?
"Please take this with you as it is the only key for this room." She then handed me the key while making the statement. "If you would like some renovations done to this room, all you need to do is write a letter and send it to my office, and I will take care of it right away. Before leaving me alone in this room, the dean told me, "Since I have already given you the key, I will then let you have a look around, I have to attend meetings later so I have to go..." after she had handed me the key to the door.
When I was just about to leave the room after staying there for a few minutes and musing over the ways in which I would be able to exercise my authority over the school in a manner that was entirely unique to me, the door to the room was abruptly opened by another person.
"What the heck are you doing in this place?!!" I yelled back in a hysterical manner.
"I have come to see you, Kianna, so that we may discuss..."
