61. Vampire Kingdom.
Xavier ordered his men to carry Winifred with him to their kingdom. By the time she woke up, she found herself in a place she could not recognize. She was on a fluffy bed, it felt just like the bed in Arthur's room. But one thing was clear to her. She was not in Arthur's room. She was in some other place that she had not seen before, even the atmosphere and environment seemed totally different. She was terrified.
Had she being found by Elena? Or did she go back back her world but just in a vintage decorated room? Everything didn't seem plausible.
"Where am I?" She asked herself as she stood up from the bed. She tried to recall what happened to her and she had gotten where she was presently, but she could not remember. When eventually she did, she recalled how she had gotten tired and had collapsed in the middle of nowhere. "Did someone find me and bring me here?" She muttered to herself again, then she smacked herself lightly on the head. "Obviously." She paused to look around her again. "But who? Gosh, am I in the hands of people who would like to kill or ruin my again, like sell me?"
The room looked like a royalty's room, just like Arthur's, but it wasn't his. Unless he had change the interior design before she returned. "But that couldn't have been done within two days right? Or how many days have I been gone?" She muttered to herself, looking extremely confused and scared.
Just then, the room door opened and Xavier walked in. He sighted Winifred immediately, and his face lit up with a huge smile. He closed the door behind him and walked to meet her on the bed. Winifred stared at him and he stared back. She didn't think twice before recognizing him as the prince of the vampire kingdom who had tried his chance in her the two times they have met. No one needed to tell her that she was in his room, in his kingdom and she also didn't need anyone to tell her that this situation she had found herself in wasn't in any way good. At all.
'I am dead,' she thought to herself.
"Hello, beautiful." He said to her, his face still beaming with smiles. "We meet again, I think we are simply fated together, don't you think so too?" He bent over to touch her on the chin but she pushed his arms away immediately, almost as if he was about to electrocute her and she needed to steer clear from harm's length. This action of hers made him laugh. "Still stubborn as you have always been. Good. I love it." He said and burst into another laughter.
"What do you mean by that? What is this? Why do you have me with you? And where am I?" Although she knew the answers to these questions, she still decided to ask. Besides, she had to act like her normal fierce self even though she was a bit scared at the moment.
She was aware of how deadly Xavier was and how he can't take his eyes off beautiful ladies, so being with him only meant danger for her. The thought of that alone scared her, this creature or whatever he was scared her so much because he didn't have an iota of the calmness that Arthur had. She never felt safe with him and who could blame her, the dimwit tried to rape and then feed on her the first time they met. Anyone would be scared.
"Youre seriously asking me those questions? You still don't know where you are? I thought you're smarter than that." Xavier replied her with a smirk on his face as he folded his arms, still staring at her.
She got up from his bed and stood up to him, even though he was taller than her. This made her raise her head up a bit to stare at him. "Fine then, why on earth do you have me here in your palace?" She asked with a serious look on her face.
"Oh," he said and chuckled a bit. "So you know you are in my palace? Why then did you ask again when you already know?"
"Just answer my question, dimwit!" She snapped at him.
"Excuse me? What did you call me?"
She knew that if she said the actual meaning, he could do anything bad to her, so she decided to lie. "I called you a handsome man." She said, even though it was pretty obvious that it was a lie.
Xavier burst into laughter immediately. When he eventually stopped, he said "you know I'm not actually dumb? I can tell that's a lie. That was probably a cuss word I don't know of, one that you made up yourself just so you can cuss freely and people won't know what you're saying. There's absolutely no way you of a people would call me handsome, even though I am."
"Ugh, whatever, can you stop gloating about yourself and answer my question, why do you have me here? Why did you bring me here? I don't belong here. This isn't my land!"
"Is that what you should be bothered about right now? Shouldn't you first thank me for saving your life?"
"Saving my life?" She asked with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, your life!" He snapped at her. "You could have died in that darn place I picked you up from! My man and I came through for you. If not for us, you would have been dead by now, infact, if not for ME! Else my men would just check for blood if you still have any and suck you dry. You're alive because I wnat you alive!"
Winifred rolled her eyes. "So, that was where they had seen me," she muttered to herself.
"What did you say?"
"I said if you didn't save me, someone else would have done that. Besides, if no one else had, I prefer to be dead than be with you here." She replied.
"Wow!" He exclaimed and smiled, clapping his hands. "Wow! I have heard that you speak in such rude ways, but now I can see that you really do have a lot of audacity."
"When are you sending me back to my people?"
"Your people?" He scoffed. "Your people are the humans and you and I know that you have no place there! Not anymore, they'll skin you alive should they get to know that you're back! Unless it's not your own human land but another one!"
"I meant the werewolf Kingdom. When are you sending me back?!" She snapped at him. "Stop playing dumb and answer me."
"Playing dumb?" He scoffed again. "You really have a lot of audacity to speak to me in this manner. I guess Arthur was the cause of all this. He was probably blinded by your beauty that he couldn't put you in your place, the one where you belong. That idiot is such a pushover!"
"Duh," she said and rolled her eyes. "You haven't answered me."
"I would never send you back anywhere, young lady. Welcome to the vampire kingdom."
"I don't want to be a part of your kingdom. Take me back to where you found me."
"Really?"
"Yes," she replied sternly as if she had made up her mind.
"No. You're now my property and I own you now. I found you and that makes you mine now."
"I am not your property!" She snapped back at him, glaring at him. "I am no one's property! I am not a thing that you can just claim to own!"
"Tell that to Arthur, not me."
She scoffed and shook her head. "You're such an animal."
"I know. But guess who's also an animal? Arthur. He's an actual animal. He is a werewolf. So? Anything new?"
"He's a werewolf, but not a heartless animal like you!" She snapped, trying to do anything possible to piss him off.
He chuckled and stared at her. "You know, I really like you. You're fierce." He said and smiled widely. "And if you stay calm, I could make you my queen. I'd be king very soon anyway. So, the choice is yours. Either you do whatever I ask you to do and become my queen or I force you and you become my slave. It's your choice." He said and shrugged.
"I am going to do neither of the two!"
"Watch me make you." He said and about to turn, she spoke. What she said really annoyed him.
"You useless thing that call yourself a prince. You're a lowlife animal and that's the only thing you'll ever be! Being a royal or the king to be would never change the fact that you're a nobody and a total devil! You—"
He didn't let her finish her sentence before he grabbed her by the neck. This made her choke as she began to cough, but he didn't release her neck still. "Don't make me do unforgivable things to you. I could kill you within a second and no one would do anything or question me about it, so know your place!" He said and released her neck, pushing her to the bed. He then turned and walked out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
Winifred fell to the bed, holding her neck and coughing, gasping for air as she watched his retreating figure. "Bastard," she muttered.
