Chapter 2852 Why Does My Wife Follow Me Every Day? 11
"Speaking of which, have you had that rabbit for a long time?" Jin Chen asked.
Yun Jian blinked, picked up his wine glass and took a sip before saying, "Well, he's usually very well-behaved, but sometimes... he runs around at night. I didn't expect him to be so bold as to jump to the other side. I'm so sorry to have caused you trouble last night."
"It's adorable," Jin Chen smiled. "It has soft fur, a good temperament, and is very well-behaved."
He said this in a gentle tone, as if he were praising something precious.
Yun Jian listened, her ears turning slightly red. She took another sip of wine before whispering, "He likes you very much too."
He looked up, his gaze sincere and harmless. "I'm afraid he'll wander off again at night, and if he goes into your room again."
“It’s alright,” Jin Chen interrupted Yun Jian’s somewhat hesitant words, speaking frankly, “I welcome it, but next time it would be best to let it use the front door, jumping out of the window is a bit dangerous after all.”
Yun Jian looked at him and smiled, her heart skipped a few beats.
He suppressed the urge to reach out and touch Jin Chen, picked up his wine glass, and finished the rest of the wine in one gulp.
Then the dishes are served.
The first dish was steamed fish. The plate was very large. The waiter carried it over, but he didn't notice that someone had spilled water on the floor of the next table and hadn't wiped it clean. When the waiter reached the table, he slipped.
Jin Chen reacted quickly, reaching out to support the waiter who almost fell, and grabbing the wine glass that had been knocked over with his other hand.
But the wine still spilled out, the liquid splashing onto Jin Chen's sleeves and dripping down between his fingers onto the tablecloth.
"I'm so sorry, sir! I'm so sorry!" The waiter was terrified and bowed repeatedly in apology.
Jin Chen let go of her hand, glanced at her soaked sleeve, and said, "Go get a towel."
From Yun Jian's perspective, he didn't see the water on the ground, but only the waiter bumping into him and splashing wine all over Jin Chen.
He grabbed the waiter's shoulder, his eyes turning cold.
The waiter shuddered at his gaze, hurriedly placed the fish on the table, and apologized repeatedly, "I'm so sorry! There was water on the floor, and I slipped... I'll get a towel to wipe it up right away!"
Yun Jian then withdrew his gaze and turned to Jin Chen, his eyes now showing gentle concern again.
He pulled out a few tissues and handed them to Jin Chen, saying, "Wipe yourself first."
Jin Chen took the tissue and wiped his hands. The red wine soaked through the cuffs of his shirt, the fabric clinging to his skin, wet and sticky. His palms were also covered in wine, dripping slowly from between his fingers, leaving a trail.
An overly glamorous visual impact.
Yun Jian watched as the red wine dripped down Jin Chen's fingers, and his Adam's apple bobbed.
I want to lick it off.
He wanted to lean down, grasp Jin Chen's hand, and lick his palm and between his fingers with his tongue, taking away every drop of wine.
That must have contained the warmth of Jin Chen's skin and the rich aroma of red wine.
No. It will scare him. It will definitely scare him away.
Yun Jian clenched his fist tightly, using the pain to suppress the wildly growing desire.
"I'll help you," Yun Jian said softly.
He half-squatted down next to Jin Chen, took the tissue, and first wiped Jin Chen's cuffs.
The shirt was stained with red wine, and Yun Jian used a tissue to absorb it little by little before wiping Jin Chen's hands.
The red wine left faint marks in the palm lines. Yun Jian's fingers, through a thin tissue, stroked the inside of Jin Chen's wrist, where the skin was thinner and the pulse could be felt.
From the palm to the fingertips, and then to the gaps between each finger.
Yun Jian's actions seemed very obedient and considerate.
But only he knew that his fingertips were trembling, a restrained tremor.
Jin Chen looked down and her heart softened.
He raised his other hand and placed it on Yun Jian's head, gently rubbing it.
Yun Jian paused for a moment, then looked up at Jin Chen. He saw Jin Chen looking down at him with a faint, nonchalant smile in his eyes.
That look touched Yun Jian's heart, stirring a secret joy, yet it still felt insufficient.
I want more; I want more attention and more contact from Jinchen.
Jin Chen noticed that Yun Jian wasn't averse to it, and then gently rubbed his head with her fingers.
"Thank you."
Such indulgence, such intimacy.
...But Yun Jian keenly sensed a subtle sense of control from it.
He was clearly expressing his gratitude, but it gave the impression that whatever he did was permissible.
Yun Jian couldn't help but tilt her head, still gazing at Jin Chen with soft eyes. She then rubbed her cheek against Jin Chen's palm, involuntarily revealing an infatuated expression.
Jin Chen's smile grew increasingly languid, yet it held a gentle warmth.
A blush spread from his neck down to his eyes, like an electric shock, a tingling sensation shooting from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. Yun Jian could only hurriedly lower his head, wipe away the last bit of wine stains, and then stand up, almost losing his balance.
Jin Chen helped him up and teased, "Did Boss Yun slip too?"
"N-nothing," Yun Jian said, his voice a little hoarse.
He sat back down in his chair, picked up his wine glass and took a few big gulps, but he couldn't suppress the surging heat in his heart. His eyes were glued to Jin Chen's face, unable to look away.
The waiter then ran back with a towel, apologized repeatedly, and wiped the table clean.
For the latter half of the meal, Yun Jian ate somewhat absentmindedly. The delicious food seemed to have lost its flavor in his mouth, and all his senses were focused on the person opposite him.
It was almost 2 PM when we finished eating.
Jin Chen didn't drink, but Yun Jian drank quite a bit. He drank almost two-thirds of a bottle of red wine by himself. Although he wasn't drunk, his face flushed slightly, and the corners of his eyes were also tinged with red, making him look even more sexy.
Jin Chen drove him back to the flower shop. While waiting at a red light, he glanced at Yun Jian in the passenger seat.
Yun Jian leaned back in his chair, his eyes half-closed, as if he were resting.
The car window was cracked open, and the wind blew in, ruffling the stray hairs on his forehead.
"Tired?" Jin Chen asked.
Yun Jian opened his eyes, slowly turned his head upon hearing this, but his gaze was fixed on Jin Chen, and his voice was a little lazy, "No."
Jin Chen felt a little weak-willed again. "Go back and rest for a while. I'll come pick up the rabbit tonight. Don't let it jump out of the window; it's a bit dangerous."
Yun Jian nodded slowly again, this time with a larger nod, his fingers unconsciously gripping the seatbelt.
All the time.
He was always restless and eager to make a move.
He wanted to get closer and closer, until their skin touched, until he could feel Jin Chen's body temperature and heartbeat, until his breath filled his entire being.
The car slowly came to a stop on the side of the road in front of the flower shop.
Yun Jian's anticipation began to rise. According to his original plan, after returning to the flower shop, he could naturally invite Jin Chen upstairs for a chat. The reason could be to deliver flowers, to look at his collection of plant illustrations, or simply to say that he wanted to invite him for another cup of tea.
Rabbits have a keen sense of smell, and this is also true of the rabbit-beastman. As long as Jin Chen goes upstairs and stays in his private space, even for just a moment, he has a way to leave Jin Chen's scent there.
One coat isn't enough. He wants more.
The sofa, the carpet, the pillows... ideally, even the air should be filled with the comforting and captivating scent of sandalwood.
However, this idea was shattered.
The coffee shop door opened as soon as the car came to a stop.
"Brother Chen!" A clear, familiar male voice came from the side.
Yun Jian and Jin Chen turned their heads at the same time to look at the source of the sound.
