Chapter 1514 Entering Paradise
Mori nodded, understanding. He knew Morgenscha was a reliable man, but sometimes he could be overly cautious and take his time. However, as long as he could eventually obtain accurate intelligence, the wait was worth it.
"When the captain arrives, hand over all this information to him, and let him analyze the rest himself." Katakuri continued, his tone revealing his trust and respect for the captain.
Mori nodded again, understanding Katakuri's point. The captain was the core of their team, possessing exceptional wisdom and judgment. Giving him the intelligence was undoubtedly the wisest choice.
Katakuri ate and talked at the same time, his movements graceful and natural, his eating speed not affected by the conversation at all. Mori listened quietly, occasionally interjecting a word or two, and the communication between the two seemed very harmonious.
"Okay, leave it to me," Mori said finally, his voice firm. He knew he was shouldering an important mission and had to ensure the transmission of intelligence was foolproof.
Mori silently took note of Katakuri's instructions. He would contact Baot at the appropriate time, organize all the information, and wait for the captain's arrival.
The two chatted about a variety of topics, from the weather to food, from pirate life to the world situation. Their conversation was relaxed and pleasant, without any sense of tension or pressure.
At this moment, the crew brought in a large amount of food, filling up the entire table. The food was so delicious that it made people salivate at the sight.
"Wow, so many delicious foods!" Mori exclaimed excitedly, his eyes sparkling.
Katakuri smiled slightly, he was also very satisfied with the food. The two began to eat heartily, enjoying this rare feast of food.
Outside, the streets were dotted with pirates, chatting in small groups or busily carrying goods. Residents, however, hid in their homes, windows and doors shut, afraid to venture out. The town had become unusually quiet due to the pirates' arrival, broken only by occasional shouts and laughter.
Three days later, the sun was shining, the breeze was blowing, and the port was bustling with activity.
"Captain, we're here." Ryan called Kuro softly, with a hint of excitement in his voice.
Kuro slowly opened his eyes, looked around sleepily, then stretched and stood up from his seat.
"We're finally here. I can't wait to see Mori and Katakuri." Kuro said as he walked out of the room, his steps seeming a little anxious.
With Kuro's appearance, the Weeping Angel slowly landed on the stone platform in the harbor. The ship's ladder extended smoothly and stopped on the stone platform.
Kuro led his crew down the ship's ladder. The moment his feet stepped on the stone platform, he took a deep breath, feeling the sea breeze and the hustle and bustle of the port.
"Captain!" Suddenly, a familiar voice was heard. Kuro looked in the direction of the voice and saw Mori running towards him with a smile on his face, shouting excitedly as he ran.
Mori ran to Kuro, excited like a child. He stretched out his hands and hugged Kuro tightly.
"Hahaha, Mori, you are still so enthusiastic." Kuro said with a smile, and patted Mori's shoulder vigorously to express his recognition of him.
"How are things going at the Navy Headquarters?" Kuro asked with concern.
"It went very smoothly, Captain!" Maury replied excitedly. "We completed the mission successfully according to your plan."
"Well, well done." Kuro nodded with satisfaction. "This operation is very important to us, thanks to your efforts."
After hearing Kuro's praise, Mori's smile became even brighter, and he felt extremely proud and satisfied.
At this moment, everyone's eyes were focused on Katakuri.
"How is it? Have all the remaining navy been wiped out?" Kuro smiled, as if he was sure of the answer to this question.
Katakuri replied expressionlessly, "I've already eliminated all the navy forces on the four surrounding islands. The remaining ones are no longer of any importance."
Kuro laughed heartily upon hearing this. "Haha, that's true. Even if a few of them slipped through the net and escaped, they definitely wouldn't pose any threat to us."
His laughter echoed in the air, and the pirates around him joined in, shouting Kuro's name as if he was the overlord of this ocean.
However, amidst the noise, Mori suddenly interrupted everyone with a serious face.
"Captain, I have something to tell you." His tone was so serious that it shocked people.
Seeing this, Kuro put away his smile and turned to look at Mori, a hint of doubt in his eyes: "Something? Is it important?"
Mori nodded and said solemnly, "It's very important. The war between the Army and the Revolutionary Army has entered a white-hot stage. Both sides are now at the point of mutual destruction."
Kuro's brows gradually furrowed. This news was both unexpected and reasonable to him. Although it was indeed good news, it came so suddenly that he was completely unprepared.
Moreover, most of his soldiers are still recovering from their injuries in the New World. Even if they rush over now, it might be too late.
"This is really good news that makes people feel very embarrassed!" Kuro said solemnly.
"Captain, what should we do next?" Mori asked anxiously.
"What should I do?" Kuro seemed to have not yet recovered from the shock of the news. He muttered to himself.
"How far is this place from the battlefield between the army and the revolutionary army?" another person interrupted.
"It'll probably take a week," Morrie replied.
"Forget it. If we rush over now, we can only clean up the battlefield." Golden Lion sighed.
"Yes, that's right," Kuro agreed. "Let Morgans keep an eye on the battlefield and report back as soon as there's any news."
"Okay, I understand." Morrie responded.
After saying that, Kuro and his group continued walking on the street.
The residents of this country seemed to be filled with fear of them. They hid themselves and only dared to observe them secretly through the cracks in the doors or windows.
