❤️ Who We Are ❤️
"You really remember?" Rumi asked. She was surprised that it worked. This was her first time doing this and with the new discovery of whom she really is made her realize how easy it has been for her in magic.
No wonder I was able to take Sarah's magic away from her.
Rumi thought as she awaits for their answer.
"Yes," Kando said, then turned to look at his brother. "We are brothers."
Rumi rolled her eyes. "Of course you are brothers, you both have almost the same similarities," she said to Kando. "What do you remember?" She asked.
"The war, Aelfric, Edgardo and Dean." Kando replied, holding his head with his hands.
"And let's not forget about that witch with Dean, Sarah. She did something to us." Cando said, copying his brother, then he tried to stand up and Rumi rushed to help him steady him on his feet. "Where are we?" He asked looking around then spotted Dean then he shook his head as Rumi opened her mouth to answer. "Don't bother, I remember where we are." he answered his own question.
Carefully making him sit on the bed Dean was occupying, she made sure he didn't sit on his body.
Kando tries to get up but Rumi ignores him as she stares at Cando in concern as she squat in front of him.
"I know that evil woman Sarah, but what war are you talking about and who is Aelfric?" Rumi asked Cando.
When Kando realized Gwen wasn't helping him, he managed to get up and went to rest his back at the wall. "Thanks for helping me," he said sarcastically.
"You are welcome," Rumi said without taking her eyes off Cando.
"You knew Sarah?" Cando asked with wide eyes.
"Grew up with her," Gwen said with a shrug. "And I realized what a beautiful liar she was, so back to my question, who is Aelfric?"
"The king of the elves and dwarfs." Kando responded. "We are his creation. His masterpieces. We became like him, though not in the magic aspect." he added a second later.
"How did you guys end up with Dean then?" Rumi asked. If they are with Aelfric, then how are they living and obeying Dean?
"The war caused it all. It was a tough war and both sides lost, I think that's what happened." Kando told her.
"I don't think so because if both sides lost then there won't be Kudarma which is ruled by Dean and Ashland which is ruled by the late Emperor Ariadne. I think both brothers came to a conclusion to stop the bloodshed."
"That's true." Cando nodded in agreement. He remembered Ashland being the only kingdom who ruled other kingdoms, the only Kingdom with an Emperor but now Dean is an Emperor in Kudarma.
"So who were you fighting against, who started the war?"
"Edgardo. He was strong, very powerful. The gods blessed him with powers and it made him a god. That's when trouble began in Ashland. He wanted every kingdom to himself even when he knew his father was chosen to become the Emperor. So he connived with Dean to fight alongside him and along the line, he lost. He died, he was killed. That was when Sarah called us, it was a strong war Rumi that went on for days so after Edgardo was finally defeated we became thirsty, she gave us water to drink and that was it. And now we are with Dean instead of..." Kando trails off then his eyes meet with his brother.
"Adaoh!" They both said at the same time and with renewed found strength, they ran out of Dean's room, towards Adaoh's prison. Rumi ran after them, greatly confused by the name they called. Is Adaoh related to them? Is it the same Adaoh that Emera and Sarah had talked about? Is she their lover? Rumi thought as she followed them.
Entering the building she saw them enter, she stopped briefly and took a deep breath, it smelled of Sarah magic and the strongest of it all was coming from the only door in front of her. Who is behind that door?
She twisted the door knob and opened the door, stepping in, she noticed two things. The first thing she noticed was Kando and Cando kneeling before a woman who strangely smells familiar to her. And the chains on her neck, hands and feet.
Why will Dean and Sarah chain the woman up? Who is the woman?
"We are sorry my Queen for abandoning you for so long." Kando and Cando apologized.
Rumi wondered as she stared around the room, taking in everything. She felt eyes on her and when she brought her gaze to the one staring at her, she discovered it was coming from the strange woman.
"Who is she?" Adaoh asked.
"She is the one who made us remember who we are, the one we told you about yesterday that removed the controlling spell from Dean. Rumi is a strong witch." Kando answered.
"You've been talking about me behind my back?" Rumi asked, though not offended. She wondered why the woman was still staring at her.
"You have his gifts, you look so much like Aelfric's father but that can't be possible. Who are you dear child?"
"They have told you who I am, I'm Rumiana, a sorceress that is on your side." Rumi responded. "Cando, who is she? I know she is Adaoh, but who is she?"
"King Aelfric's wife, Gwen's mother." Cando replied.
Rumi was caught off guard when she heard that. Gwen's mother? Does that mean she is my mother too?
She thought.
"Gwen is my sister," Rumi began as the brothers turned their heads to stare at her. "What? I just found that out yesterday. it appears me, Gwen and Juno are triplets and Sarah took me away from my mother after my birth."
"I said it, you look like your great-grandfather Rumi. You are my child. I have finally met you, I thought I wouldn't see you again." Adaoh said as she began to cry.
"It was meant to happen. Besides, Sarah is not the only one who had made a mistake, I too did. I hurt the ones close to me and betray their trust. Juno can't forgive me and I can't forgive myself either." Rumi said, walking towards Adaoh. "I grew up in lies and Sarah made me believe a lot of things. I am sorry." she added stopping in front of Adaoh, not knowing what to do. She fears getting rejected if she offers Adaoh her shoulder to lean on.
Adaoh surprisingly pulled Rumi towards her and hugged her like her life depended on it.
Both cried.
"I am sorry for not going after you when she took you away," Adaoh apologized.
Rumi cried the most.
Adaoh turned her eyes to the brothers still kneeling down. "The both of you should get up, you brought me back my child, I should be thankful to the both of you."
Standing straight, "We are sorry for not coming to you and for joining hands with Dean in punishing you."
"It's fine, you were not in your right senses, after all Sarah is the cause." Adaoh told them, kissing the top head of Rumi.
Rumi releases her hold on her new found original mother and moves back a bit, her eyes going back to the chains around her mother.
"I'm still not clear about one thing though, how did you end up here?"
"Sarah my dear child," Adaoh replied. "I went into labor when we were at war and Phoenix was helping at the war, even though it was difficult for her, so she left me in the hands of Sarah, Emera and Eden. After I gave birth to you and your sisters, Sarah grabbed one and just disappeared. The funniest thing is that I was planning to give her one of the babies to take care of but I guess fate has its own way of playing. After Eden and Emera left with my children, she returned without you and put me here. She is strong, stronger than me." Adaoh explained to her daughter.
"What about the chains?" Rumi asked.
"You can see the chains?" Kando asked in surprise.
"Yes, I can." Rumi replied and placed her hands on the chain on Adaoh's neck and wrist but nothing happened. She tried that again and again but the chain refused to open. "Something is wrong."
"The only person who can free me is Dean and Sarah. They are the only ones who know how to open the child." Adaoh said as she saw the crestfallen face of Rumi.
"I will ask Sarah then." Rumi said brighten up a little. "She will tell me what I need to know."
"Sarah won't do that. She is strong-headed and won't give in." Adaoh said.
"She owes me a lot, mother, including her life." Rumi said. Calling Adaoh mother gladlys her heart. "Besides she no longer calls shots, I do the calling shots now."
Adoah smiled. She never expected this day to happen to see her stolen daughter, Kira and Gwen here. Is fate not wonderful?
"But how did they get my father?" Rumi suddenly asked. "If he could create such masterpieces," she pointed at Cando and Kando briefly. "Then he should be too strong for him to be killed." she added.
"True, but you see, capturing me was their plan from the onset. To get to your father, Sarah captured me. They made him drink a deadly potion that killed him after promising him to release me. He died in front of me and I couldn't do anything." Adaoh explained.
"When you mean they, you meant Sarah, Dean and Edgardo?" Rumi demanded.
"No, Edgardo was dead." Adaoh said.
"So it's just Sarah and Dean?" Rumi asks once again.
"Yes." Adaoh responded.
"What about Phoenix? Where is she?" Rumi asked.
"I haven't seen her since I was captured. She might be dead but that's what I thought about Sarah's case only to be surprised when I saw her." Adaoh replied. "She might be out there, hiding, or truly dead." She lowered her voice at the end. She truly hopes that Phoenix is alive.
"I will get you out of here mother. I promise." Rumi promised. She has got to visit Sarah even though she doesn't, it's her mother she is talking about. And if Sarah refuses, what she had experienced before in her hands will be so good compared to her next punishment. Rumi thought.
Adaoh could only nod her head. She was happy. "I know I will get out here," she told Rumi. If you can't, Juno's husband will. Adaoh thought but didn't tell Rumi. Then a thought suddenly crossed her mind.
"How did you get here?" Adaoh asked. "I mean, how did you enter Dean Palace? I was told you are his new Ally, so how did you manage to achieve that?" she questioned.
"I am here on the behalf of someone to become Dean's ally and that was how I met Cando and Kando, though I have met Kando before in Ashland," Rumi said, not going into details. "I'm just here on someone's behalf." she added. The only reason she had kept quiet for the mysterious man was because she wanted to know his plan, what he is up to and why he needed her help.
"On someone's behalf? Who is it?" Adaoh asked with narrow eyes.
"I don't really know who it is but he is powerful," Rumi answered truthfully, leaving out the part where the mysterious man had appeared to her to warn and threaten her about Cando.
She doesn't want to put Adaoh and Cando in danger.
Speaking of the unknown man, did he know of Adaoh being a prisoner here and made her come here? Was this a coincidence or not?
Was this his plan?
