Chapter Thirty ( Needed someone around me)

Mira's Pov:

Angel's voice snapped me back to reality as I forced my eyes open instantly, I weakly watched as she was panicking around in fear. I wanted to tell her to calm down and that I will be fine, just that I was badly hurt but opening my mouth to speak seemed hard and painful. I did the one thing that I could by just watching her.

"Mira, you need to see the doctor," Angel frighteningly mumbled. I shook my head in a disapproving way. I will not allow her to make me see the pack doctor. I know what is wrong with me and the only cure is waking up to find out that this is just a dream. That this whole thing was just a dream.

"Please stop saying no….. Stop being unnecessarily stubborn, you are scaring me," she cried out as she pleaded for me to listen to her. But I still insist which makes her lower her head, I know that she was confused about what to do based on her behavior. Standing up she went straight to my bathroom and after some minutes she came out with a bowl of water and a towel. Sitting beside me, she kept the bowel in front of her as she soaks the towel inside the water, removing the towel and slowly squeezing it she placed the damped towel on my head to cool down my temperature. She uses the damped towel to clean my body to reduce my temperature.

In the mid hour, during the night I wake only to find her laying beside me. She looks exhausted and weak, after staring at her for some minutes I gently covered her with a duvet and stood up from the bed towards my window, opening the window the air fans my face tossing my hair sideways as the moonlight reflects in my direction, it stones my face it was as if the moon goddess was looking at me. I watched as the warriors were patrolling around the pack house as they guard heavily at the gate.

I still wonder how I am going to escape this pack with these warriors all over the place, I sign as I turn my back. Closing the window I walk straight to my fridge and pick out an apple and some fruits. I am damn hungry but I fear going downstairs because I might meet Nicholas or his brother Derrick. I still don't know how to face them, eating my apple I dozed off on the chair, and I was awakened gently by an angelic voice.

"Angel…." I mumbled since I am very familiar with the touch and voice.

"Yes, it is me," her words made me snap my eyes immediately.

"Are you ok……" She asked with concern, writing all over her face.

"Yeah….." I replied.

"Then why are you sleeping here instead of sleeping on the bed," she said confusedly.

"I didn't even know that I will doze off here," I half-whispered but am sure she hears me.

"Was it because of me….?" She asked me, making me confused.

"What do you mean….?" I was confused by her words.

"I am sorry for making you uncomfortable," she pleaded with her head cast down, thereby making me more confused with her words.

"Can you be straightforward because am f*****g confused here," I was stunned as she knelt in front of me?

"Wh…… what the……. I didn't get to finish before she interrupted me.

" Sorry that I slept on your bed, I didn't mean…..please I wasn't…..

"What the fuck!!....." I surprisingly uttered before she even had the chance to explain herself, not allowing her to finish I fumes with anger.

"What was that supposed to mean? " I asked, causing tears to start trailing down her face as she pleaded for me to spare her life.

"Could you stop!!!......" I almost yelled at her.

"What did you take me for…. A heartless she-wolf, I thought we were on good terms. I thought that we understood each other," I unbelievably spit.

"Yea….. We are good," she shakily mumbled.

"Then why are you behaving like this….?" I asked as I wildly stared at her.

"I…. I am just scared," she half-whispered.

"Why……?" I asked.

"I thought you would be mad at me….. I thought that you would think that I used the opportunity of taking care of you to sleep on your bed……. I didn't allow her to finish because I was already angry and what she was saying wasn't helping it at all as it is making me angrier.

"How could I think like that, you took care of me when I was sick, and besides you are like a sister to me, so try thinking positive sometimes," I said to her as I squat down and embrace her warmly into my arms.

"Is ok, we are sisters and you are allowed to sleep here anytime that you feel like," I calmly mumbled to her.

"Thank you, you are always special and unique in whatever you do," she murmured.

"I am not special….." I said as I recall my misery. For if I am special I shouldn't be in this situation, in this condition of being mated to the two brothers the first one being my mate and husband while the second also being my mate. I swallowed hard as I fought back the tears in my eye.

"You are special, even if you won't behave….. You are indeed special," She muttered.

"Ok, whatever….. Now, I am hungry, please can you do me a favor by bringing my food up here," I told her as I made a baby face.

"Why not, but why don't you like eating downstairs?" Narrowing her eyes she asked.

"Nothing……" I almost whispered.

"Just nothing……" she asked.

"Ouch!..... I just feel like eating here, I feel more comfortable here," I lied. Though I feel like I can trust her but I feel scared to confide in her, the words feel heavy to leave my lips.

"Ok, no problem, I understand," she said as she patted my shoulder before moving to the door.

"Angel….." I called her before she could open the door.

"Yes, any problem," stopping at her track she asked.

"Also bring your food here, please I need company," I pleaded. She stared into the thin air as she stood there for some minutes, I know she was thinking. I just pray and hope that she accepts, I can't think I can stay alone at this moment. I needed someone to chat and laugh with to forget this pain and trauma, I needed someone around me to avoid going into depression. I know that she is easily scared but I just hoped that she would accept my offer.

"Why not, it would be my pleasure……" she cheerfully mumbled.

"Wow!…..Oh! my…. " I surprisingly muttered before she smiled and left the room.
