Chapter 51 I Don't Want Your Money
The smoke in Nick Cage's cigarette has been extinguished in the ashtray.
Then, Veronica Parker was caged to the arms of Nick Cage. She stood stupefied in front of him as his sudden action made her completely confused.
She looked up in horror at his deep black eyes. Veronica was short of breath and her chest undulated.
The plate in her hand fell on the ground causing a loud shatter. What she didn't expect is when she was carried by Nick.
Veronica can't believe his strength. This man pulled her over with one hand, and her strength is too great! Nick carried her as if she was just as lightweight as paper.
"Where do you want to go without my permission?" Nick Cage looked at her dangerously as she was wrapped around by his embrace.
Veronica Parker sat on Nick's sturdy leg. She wasn't completely seated, her half body laid on Nick's chest.
When Veronica heard Nick's low voice, she desperately struggled to free herself.
However, compared to her strength and Nick's side, her power was like a drop of water that fell into the sea. Barely made a ripple and instantly swallowed up, disappeared without a trace.
The gap between the strong and the weak is obvious.
"Mr. Cage, let me go and let me out." Veronica Parker is so afraid of him that she doesn't want or dare to be near him. She doesn't want to take the danger of intimacy.
Nick clasped her chin with one hand. "Now, you don't want to know why?"
Veronica was stupefied. She looked at him as she was oppressed by Nick's suffocating hug.
This kind of aggression seemed to worsen at any time.
The thought in her mind turned into a frenzy, and she asked herself just now. 'Why not let myself resign and leave?'
"Let's make a deal."
"What?"
"You will be my woman, and I'll give you everything you want in return. Money, power, or whatever you want, just name it." Nick's rough and callous fingers slightly rubbed the delicate skin of her chin. His light touch tickled her skin which was so seductive that it seemed to lure his prey into his trap.
Veronica Parker at him. Her clear eyes glowed gently, bright as if there was a layer of water mist that glistened deep within. "I don't want your money."
Nick was surprised by her answer. His offer is a temptation that no woman could resist. Any woman would even kneel to thank him, but she won't. Because of her unusual response, Nick was quite intrigued.
"Is that your trick?" Nick's obsidian eyes narrowed slightly which was extremely dangerous to look at.
"I just think that's unfair." Veronica suddenly laughed as she carefully changed the subject. "0therwise, why don't you give me the money and I won't be your woman?"
"I don't do business at a loss." The voice of Nick faintly sounded in her ears as it oppressed her heart.
"That's right! Since we both don't want to lose money, let's not trade!" Veronica looked at him with sparkles in her eyes.
"How dare you resist?" Nick squinted his dark eyes.
All of a sudden, Veronica felt lightheaded and was thrown on the sofa.
She gave out a soft cry as Nick hovered on top of her.
Just then, his shadow covered her that made her stare at him with surprise. She was so nervous that she stopped breathing. "Mr. Cage, calm down."
Her chin was grabbed tightly, and the aura he exuded was condescending. Veronica was well aware that Nick was dangerous and terrible. "Those who dare to disobey me will not come to a good end. Do you want to try it?"
"No! That's a no brainer. I think it's too easy to get money and power without any problem because of you. In that case, it won't have a sense of achievement." Veronica reasoned out as her body quivered under his cover.
Nick Cage was like a beast ready to attack, while Veronica is a prey who shuddered under him.
"Do you think it's easy to be my woman?" Nick asked. He looked at her flushed expression and his heart throbbed wildly.
Veronica Parker blushed and gently bit her lip.
