Chapter 52 Rises To The Picture Of Servility

Memories of that night three years ago came back to her mind again. She was haunted by it that made her immediately deny what happened. In her own knowledge, it's not easy, it's an arduous task! It's definitely something that she could just shrug off!

At least it was the first time for her, but God suddenly gave her such a tough man and she couldn't stand it!

It was the wine that made her fearless, she was so brave that she dared to refute!

"Let me think about it. After all, this is not a trivial matter." Veronica wanted to leave the office instantly. She knew that it's too dangerous for her to be with Nick.

But then, will Nick agree? When Veronica stared at his dark eyes, he could not read his mind. His expression was unfathomable.

As she waited nervously, Nick Cage reached out to his pocket and put a cigarette directly inside his lips. "Hold it, stand on one foot against the wall, and I'll think about when it will end."

With that, the pressure that hovered on her body moved away.

Veronica Parker was stunned on the spot. 'Are you sure you're not messing with me?!' Anger surged from her heart as she angrily rebutted what Nick said.

However, she dared not to do it because Veronica knew what would happen. She suspected that Nick Cage was a pervert.

Veronica took the cigarette off in his mouth, went to the corner, and put it in the trash bin. She pursed her mouth and held back her retort. Then, her one foot is slightly raised, and with that, she balanced herself with one foot and the other.

Her stance is defiant as she exhibited her independence.

Nick said that he'll think about when it would end. In other words, if she can stand to put her feet on the wall and successfully balance herself until the cigarette's smoke finishes, he'll think about it.

So, Veronica tried with all her might to keep going.

'This is inhumane. Anyone who'll see me in this state will think that this is coercion! But then, how on earth is she going to make him think about it? She couldn't even refuse that kind of deal with Nick.

She wanted to stay away from Nick in order to avoid the danger of her children being discovered. She was so terrified by the danger of finding out that she was the daughter of Chloe Bowen, and how she has anything to do with him.

Yet, how can she resist the hegemony of Nick Cage? Veronica turned her eyes to the man on the sofa. Nick Cage sat there lazily with his legs crossed, smoked, and stared at her proudly.

She immediately withdrew her eyes as her heart trembled.

Veronica endured the pain and held her legs firmly. Veronica pouted her lips and looked a little cute. But for her, her legs are extremely sore and her mouth was parched. All of the torment she suffered is Nick Cage's punishment to her.

Suddenly, someone knocked at the office door.

"Enter." Nick's voice was low and intimidating.

Kay Tours came in with important documents in his hand.

After he came in, he was stupefied when he saw Veronica standing at the corner of the wall in a unique position.

Veronica seemed to see a mischievous spark in his eyes and immediately winked at Kay Tours.

'It's okay to say something nice to me a little bit. I can hardly stand this shame!'

After being stupefied, Kay Tours withdrew his sight and went to Nick. "Mr. Cage, I need your signature." Then, he took the black pen on his suit and handed it to Nick Cage.

Nick signed, closed the document and gave it to Kay Tours, and went out immediately with a blink of an eye. Veronica can't believe what he just did. He was so ruthless, too.

'At least I am your subordinate! Can't you protect your employee?' She was infuriated by that thought.

Nick almost finished smoking a cigarette and he was surprised that she could hold on for so long. Opposite to what he is, Nick really had no patience.

He pressed the cigarette butt behind the ashtray, got up, and approached Veronica.

Veronica's legs were already weak, and when he saw Nick headed towards her, she panicked even more.

As soon as her knees wobbled, she knelt directly in front of Nick's torso, which evidently showed the towering height and Nick's long legs.

After that, she instantly rose as she struggled to get up.

Veronica was anxious when she thought to herself. Her jaw was hooked by Nick Cage and he gently lifted her face to make her look up to him. The lines of her neck were stretched. It revealed her slender neck that made him gulp. Veronica was pulled by him. She was easily controlled by Nick Cage.
