Chapter 63 I Am Not Going To Beg Him
Chapter 63 I Am Not Going To Beg Him
Veronica Parker rejected, "No, put it away."
"Wear it." Toby Cage whispered.
Veronica glared at him.
Toby turned and got into the car, which disappeared into the night.
Veronica had never seen such an inexplicable person.
There should be a limit to sympathy, right? Besides, who wanted his sympathy?
No one needed it!
As Veronica walked, she wondered where she was going to throw the dress.
After walking for a while, she saw a homeless man who was lying under the bushes by the side of the road.
She walked over and the tramp opened his eyes.
Veronica took off her coat. "Here you are."
She dropped her coat and left.
The tramp looked at her strangely, looked at the clean and textured clothes, smelled it a little, then put it on him, and went back to sleep.
When Veronica came home, the children were asleep and Isabella was still in the living room with a cell phone in hand.
"You're back?" Isabella asked.
"Sorry, I'm late." Veronica said, "It's so late, why don't you sleep here?"
"All right." Isabella looked at her and asked, "Are you all right?"
"It's nothing. I'm just a little tired." Veronica thought of something and said, "Isabella, take a leave these two days! I'll pick up the children. You've been working hard lately."
"I'll take a break. What about your job?"
Veronica smiled helplessly. "I have to look for one again, but it's all right. I'll find it soon."
"All right."
Pushing the door, there were small lights in the room, and the six little ones on the tatami slept in a harmonious and defenseless position, which fully relaxed the depression in Veronica's heart.
Climbing into bed and turning over Daniel, who was on his stomach and pouting buttocks, she held him in her arms and he sucked hard. The smell of the milk was very good.
Then she ventilated the other five, inhaled the lack of oxygen in her head, and her heart was gradually replaced by pleasure.
It seemed that any scar in her heart would be healed by these six little ones.
She had the spray can in her hand. Did she need this? Definitely not. The doctor gave her good advice, and Toby might not necessarily do the same, as he must want her to be beaten! With a bad face, Veronica Parker threw the spray can into the drawer and closed it.
At noon the next day, Kay Tours called and said, "Did the money get to your account?"
"Yes, thank you." Veronica was not surprised and was willing to accept it.
"I didn't think you had anything to do with it." Kay Tours said.
Veronica knew that the other side he was talking about meant Chloe Bowen and Kevin Cage. From this meaning, she could tell that the well water of Nick and the Cage family did not invade the river.
"I didn't think of it at first, so I didn't know until later," Veronica said.
"Is that why you quit your job?"
"Yes."
"As a former employee, I would like to remind you that if you can't find a job, you might as well ask for Mr. Cage."
Veronica frowned slightly. "You mean, no one dares to hire me? Nick Cage did this?"
"Of course not." Kay Tours said, "But you know, even if Mr. Cage doesn't talk about it, no one dares to hire you."
Veronica understood what he meant.
There was no shortage of respectable businessmen at birthday parties, and there would always be people leaking out what happened that night against KING Group to recruit Veronica Parker unless they didn't want to survive in capital. No one dared to touch the power of Nick Cage, but if it was serious, it would go up in smoke.
Was this making it impossible for her to survive in the capital? How could that be? She couldn't even raise children without a job.
There was no need for Nick Cage to issue orders to kill them all, and someone would have an early united front. This was the terrible thing about the height of Nick Cage's power.
But to go back to Nick Cage? What did Kay Tours think?
She was not going to beg him!
