Chapter 64 Mom Is Here To Pick Us Up
However, Veronica Parker's survival mentality was still too optimistic.
It didn't matter if the big company didn't like her, even as a waitress, she had a closed-door look on her face.
Nick Cage was so angry by Veronica that he wanted to swear.
She was very tired at the end of the day and then hurried to pick up the children.
Veronica remembered that John Cage was in school.
So, before she went, she spent a dollar to buy a mask to wear, and only then did she go to school.
Not long after standing in the doorway, she saw the cutie coming out in line.
Veronica immediately waved, "Peter! Cathy! Julie! Josh! Lily! Daniel! Mom is here!"
The six little ones turned their heads together, and six pairs of big eyes flickered at Veronica, but they didn't move.
The teacher asked, "Is that your mom?"
"No!" Peter.
"No!" Cathy.
"No!" Julie.
"I don't know." Josh hid behind Julie with a little fear.
"Bad guys!" Lily.
"Well, bad guy!" Daniel.
Veronica had a black line on her face. They didn't even know her when she wore a mask? She looked around, but without seeing John Cage, she bent down, pulled the mask off her face, and asked, "Do you know me now?"
Six little eyes suddenly shone with the light of the stars--
"Mom!" The six little ones pounced on Veronica happily.
Veronica's leg was grabbed by them and almost fell. "Be careful, Peter. Don't climb."
Quickly squatting down, the six little ones jumped into her arms and Veronica suddenly felt like an old hen, while the round six little ones were just the furry chicks, happily hiding under her safe wings.
Daniel was also jumping, very cute.
"Mom, are you here to pick us up?" Cathy asked excitedly, holding a little tug on her head.
"Of course, Mom is here to pick us up!" Peter said toughly.
"Mm-hmm!" The other four little heads nodded sharply.
"That's right. Mom is here to pick you up." Veronica hugged their soft bodies and said,
"Where's Grandma, Mom?" Cathy asked.
"Let Grandma take two days off. Mom will pick you up both days, okay?" Veronica asked.
"Good!" The six little ones happily opened their small round mouths and danced more happily in her arms.
Veronica knew that she picked them up at school for the first time because of her work, so when they saw her, she wore a mask and said she didn't know the custom.
The parents gathered around, smiled in shock, and asked, "Are these your children? It's not sextuplets, is it?"
"Yes, the sextuplets," Veronica said politely.
"Oh, my God! They are amazing, small, fleshy, and so cute."
"Thank you." Veronica stood up. "Come on, let's go home. Line up."
The six little poops lined up and began to walk. Veronica followed.
Taking care of six young children was not like one or two children, since it was very difficult to bring them if there was no formation.
This made Veronica's life a lot easier.
Looking at the lovely six little ones, the depression of being shut away from opportunities when looking for a job was gone.
"Veronica?"
Veronica's body shook, and the familiar voice made her afraid to look back.
Chloe Bowen, who had just got out of the car, chased after her. "Is it really you? I thought I had the wrong person."
Just because Veronica wore a mask on her face so John Cage wouldn't recognize her didn't mean that Chloe wouldn't recognize her either.
"You don't answer our calls. I don't know where you live. I'm really worried to death."
"I didn't notice." Veronica didn't want to answer.
"Were you all right last night? Did Nick make things difficult for you?"
"No, I just lost my job."
"If you lose your job, you lose it. It's not like you can't look for one again. By the way, what are you doing here alone?"
