Chapter 95 Worried For The Little Ones
Chapter 95 Worried For The Little Ones
A sense of darkness filled every part of the room making anyone who set foot inside afraid.
"Mr. Cage."
"Is she making trouble again?"
"After a bit of trouble earlier the day, it was very quiet at night."
Nick Cage was shocked by the determination that Veronica Parker showed. He thought she would cry and beg him, but her willpower was strong.
"Do you want me to bring her food?" Bob thought about it and asked.
"No, let her starve."
"Yes." Bob went out.
Veronica Parker was in the wine cellar. She looked around to find something to drink; a glass of water perhaps; but there was nothing except wine.
She decided to not eat or drink after all.
Veronica Parker made a scene at noon but had calmed down since.
She realized that even if she fought Nick Cage, he would not show great mercy. Such was a person without a benevolent heart.
So, why not calm down and stop trying to fight?
Veronica Parker looked around and saw that it was all wine. If only she had water, she could still hold on.
She found that the wine cellar was not being monitored. Nick Cage would not see what was happening at the wine cellar. She thought that if he saw her faint, he would certainly open the door.
Then she could go out as soon as she gets a chance to see Nick Cage.
Veronica Parker made up her mind that she would only suffer, so she would have a drink.
The only depressing thing was that she worried about the six little ones. At this time, the little ones should be resting.
Veronica Parker stood up with her cell phone. She looked for a corner, then hid and made a phone call.
She faced the door, so she could see as soon as someone came in and hang up the phone.
The call was connected, and Isabella answered quickly, "Veronica Parker, is that you?"
"Isabella, are you at home?"
"At home! I just put the children to bed one by one. They were crying and want their Mom. I really can't bear to see them like that. What's your situation? It didn't work out, did it?"
Isabella asked.
"I was already on the plane, but I've been caught by his men. I'm under house arrest. I can't get out."
"What? House arrest? By that man? "
"Yes"
" Isn't that too much? How could he do this to you? What about the police? "
Veronica Parker said helplessly, "If I could call the police, I would have called the police by now. Here, he has control over the land, who dares to arrest him? I don't even dare to mess with him. Besides, I have children, and I am in danger of being exposed if I call the police. "
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm trying to deal with it. I'm just worried about the six little ones."
"You don't have to worry. They were just tearful and wanted to see you. Other than that, they are fine." Isabella said.
"I know. Please give them the phone and I'll talk to them."
"Hey."
Isabella took the phone into the room. "Mom called."
The six little children immediately jumped off the sleeping mat like a penguin. Daniel was not able to roll down directly, so he rolled twice on the ground, making him look like a ball.
"Oh, dear!" Isabella hurried to pick up Daniel.
"I want to talk to Mom!" Peter said hastily.
The other five stared expectantly at the phone as if it were their Mom.
"Don't worry; I'll turn on the loudspeaker." Isabella turned on the loudspeaker and the six kids stared nervously until Isabella said, "you can talk."
Peter and Cathy immediately scrambled to shout. "Mom!"
"Mom!"
"Mom!"
"Mom!"
"Mom!" They all shouted continuously until she spoke.
"Sorry babies, Mom didn't have time to go back." Veronica Parker apologized to them.
What the little ones only cared about was not what she said, but the familiar voice of Mom. They all suddenly wailed together.
The volume was quite a shock.
Across the phone, Veronica Parker felt bad and hot in her eyes. She's afraid that only her six little ones in the world will miss her so much.
