Chapter 96 Just A Dream
Chapter 96 Just A Dream
"Don't cry Peter, Cathy, Julie, Josh, Lily, Daniel. Mom has some business to take care of here. I won't be back for a few days. You have to listen to your grandma at home, okay?"
Veronica Parker held her chest and said.
"Mom, are you angry? I will never fight with Cathy again. "
Peter's tears swirled in his eyes as he tried to hold it back.
Cathy also held back her tears and said, "I won't fight anymore either!"
Julie sniffed, "Mom, I won't eat candy anymore."
Josh cried, out of breath. "Me either."
Daniel cried, two fat hands helplessly clutched the phone, "Mom, hug ... Mom."
Veronica Parker also huddled in the corner like a poor kid, her eyes red. "I will hug you all when I come back? So, sleep now. Put the phone on the bed and it will be just like Mom sleeps with you, okay? "
"Well."
Then the six little ones began to climb the bed. It was easy to jump down but was difficult to climb up. The short legs finally made it onto the bed.
They put the phone in the usual place where Veronica Parker slept, and the six little ones sleep obediently laid next to it.
Veronica Parker talked to them on her mobile phone and told them fairy tales until she heard their soft snores.
Isabella picked up the phone and said; "They're all asleep with tears on their eyelashes."
"There's nothing I can do about it. Isabella, I'm sorry I've bothered you these days."
"Don't say anything troublesome. Try to come back as soon as possible. I can't see the children cry one by one. It's pitiful."
"OK, I see."
After the call, Veronica Parker held her cell phone and huddled like a ball in the corner. She felt as pathetic as her six little ones.
Nick Cage was a bastard. If it wasn't for him, she would not be separated from the little ones. They had never been apart from each other since its birth, let alone disappeared for several days.
In order to see the six little ones soon, she could only make such a bad plan. She hoped this hastily put plan would succeed!
Veronica Parker wiped her face and stood up. Because she had been squatting for a long time, coupled with the fact that she had not drunk water for two days, her eyes suddenly went dark, and had to sit down again.
"Well." Veronica Parker sat on the ground, her eyes closed, cushioning the darkness.
It took a while for her to get back to normal.
Veronica Parker moved to the sofa, fell, and laid on it. She looked feebly at the dark gray ceiling and did not move to save some energy.
At 02:00 in the morning, the basement door opened silently, casting a long shadow. High-end Oxford shoes appeared, the cold and chilling night, added a ghostly atmosphere to the late-night ambiance. It went straight up to the sleeping Veronica Parker until the slender and graceful body was shrouded in it.
Veronica Parker slept soundly. Her face was fair, her little mouth was slightly open, and he could see the pink tongue between her lips and teeth. She was defenseless and completely unaware of the danger.
Perhaps for her, sleeping was the most comfortable way; at least she would not feel hungry.
Nick Cage's deep and sharp black eyes looked at her as if to devour everything. He wanted to see how long she could stand it.
Veronica Parker's long curly eyelashes trembled. She had little strength to open her eyes.
When she opened her eyes fully, she saw the dark gray ceiling. And when she turned around, she realized she was still at the wine cellar.
Veronica Parker sighed. She dreamt that she had gone back home and was holding the happy six little ones in a circle.
But she's awake now, her eyes were only disappointed.
Veronica Parker touched the cell phone next to her and looked at the time. It was 10:00.
Still, no one brought food.
She sat up and touched her hungry belly. Something flashed in front of her eyes and wanted to eat what she saw.
