Do Something
This morning Kimberly woke up with a very heavy head and dizzy. Closing her eyes again, she remembered what she had done last night. Too many alcoholic drinks to make her unconscious.
"My head felt dizzy after all, who brought me home last night?"
Kimberly groaned softly while holding her head again. When she opened her eyes, the woman looked up at the ceiling and believed she was not in her room. Turning to the side, she found the figure of Nicholas, who was sleeping quietly and peacefully. She drifted off and continued to look in Nicholas's face for a moment. Wanted to caress the man's face but failed to do so. Until her energy was gathered, Kimberly slowly inched down and left the room. Meanwhile, when he woke up, Nicholas realized that Kimberly's figure was no longer beside him.
Choosing to let it go, he got up, took a shower, and got ready to work. Entering the dining room, Kimberly was already sitting eating her breakfast. She looked much better than last night. Even Nicholas could have sworn he heard Kimberly hum a little while enjoying the sandwich.
"Morning....what do you want for breakfast?" asked Kimberly casually. While Nicholas looks confused, he thinks she will silence him like before. But now, Kimberly rebuked him like nothing had happened before between them. "Bring me a sandwich like yours," Nicholas replied, staring at Kimberly's face in surprise. It wasn't long before Kimberly put the American sandwich on Nicholas's plate. Then return to focus on eating the food. "Kimmy..." Nicholas called softly.
Kimberly lifted her face.
"Hmm ... what's wrong?"
"I'm sorry. Maybe what I did yesterday was too much. But rest assured that ---"
"It's ok," Kimberly interrupted. "Forget it. Don't worry, and I forgive you too. Besides, I'm not in the mood to discuss anything now," he continued later. After that, Kimberly went back to eating the last piece of sandwich on her plate. Hearing that, Nicholas chose to remain silent. It was nothing, and he was just afraid of saying the wrong thing and inviting Kimberly's anger or even anger. Although he was also curious about the woman's attitude in front of him displayed.
"I'll go downstairs first. When you're done, come downstairs."
Kimberly took a sip of her chamomile tea and then left Nicholas, still eating his breakfast in silence.

Nicholas's concentration was broken while attending a meeting this afternoon. Edward, sitting across from him, even realized that his friend from the beginning of the meeting had not taken the client's presentation seriously. Nicholas, who was known to be a professional at work, seemed without the slightest interest in attending the meeting until the time was over. Even during the question and answer session, the man known to be critical and selective chose to remain silent.
Until finally, Edward took over everything. Sensing that something is wrong with Nicholas, Edward decides to accompany his eternal rival into the CEO's office. He thought things like this should not happen for a long time. What exists, all work can be abandoned later.
"I noticed, you seem to be thinking about something?" shouted Edward as they were walking down the halls of the building.
As he continued to walk, Nicholas nodded then answered. "We'd better talk in my room."
When they arrived at the room, Edward immediately took a seat on the guest sofa. So many questions had crossed his mind that he wanted to ask Nicholas immediately.
"So, what's so confusing about you? I'm sure you didn't even notice our client's presentation earlier." Edward continued the previous question.
Nicholas, who was also sitting opposite Edward, took a deep breath. He acted as if he was facing a very strange problem. "I was thinking about Kimberly's attitude this morning. I know she's angry. But she's acting so weird."
Edward frowned in confusion. "Strange, what do you mean?" Nicholas reached for the coffee cup that was always on the table. He took a sip and then began to answer Edward's question. "Usually, when Kimberly gets angry, she'll shut me out. But this morning, she was acting normal as if nothing had happened between the two of us."
Edward nodded. Then smiled faintly. "You know what that means?"
Nicholas put down his coffee cup. "What? Don't be half-hearted, Ed. You're making me even more curious," protested Nicholas. Talking to Edward always managed to ignite his emotions.
"That means he has lost interest in you, Nick. Don't be surprised if Kimberly leaves you tomorrow without a word," Edward said with a serious face.
Hearing Edward's words, Nicholas fell silent. His mind wandered. It could be that what his friend said was true happened, considering that Nicholas had inflicted many wounds on Kimberly. But he couldn't let her leave his apartment. Nicholas sighed in frustration.
"Then what should I do, Ed. I already apologized. But Kimberly didn't respond. She told me not to talk about it anymore. Honestly, I feel wrong now." Judging from the look on his face, the man was really confused.
Edward laughed. "You always ask me what to do. As a gentleman, ask your conscience what to do," said Edward Sarkis.
"Gosh, damn it! It seems pointless telling you. You're not helping one bit, Ed," Nicholas protested.
Edward couldn't help but laugh. He was sure the man in front of him was very frustrated. Countless Nicholas sighed and even massaged his temples many times.
Edward stopped laughing. His face turned serious. "I'm confused with you, Nick. If you don't love Kimberly, why are you bothered like this? Take it easy; you should be happy that she still wants to reprimand you for everything you did before. But it's a different story if you love her. Again, ask your conscience, Nick. Unless you don't have one."
Nicholas gasped. Edward's words seemed to slap him. There was a slight fear that Kimberly would completely ignore him after this. He prefers to face Kimberly, who likes to be angry, then acts fake like this morning. Yes, I have to do something.

Kimberly is enjoying lunch with Alex and Keyra in the cafeteria. It had been a long time since he had seen his two best friends. There was not a day that he didn't spend with his two best friends.
"I thought that after becoming Mr. Alistair's fiancé, you don't want to be friends with us anymore, Kimmy." Alex pouted. The man was waiting for what response Kimberly would give.
Kimberly chuckled a little. "I'm sorry I've been so busy lately. You know that our office has a lot of deadlines to complete."
"So, how's your relationship with Mr. Nicholas? Is it getting any better? You haven't spoken at all lately." Now it was Keyra's turn to ask questions.
Kimberly didn't answer right away. He chose to take a sip of the green tea freeze he ordered first. "I don't know. I don't know how long this relationship will last. After becoming the ice cube master's fiancé, I thought I could easily attract his heart. But it turned out to be beyond expectations. If he still doesn't love me until this moment," Kimberly muttered, sounding frustrated.
Keyra reached out her hand to gently stroke Kimberly's back shoulder. She was acting as if telling the woman to be patient and tough. Even so, with Alex, he did the same thing as Keyra did.
"If you can't stand it and want to give up, do it, Kimmy. Why hold on to it if it makes you uncomfortable. You're beautiful. Of course, it's not that hard to find a man ten times as handsome or well-established as Mr. Nicholas." Alex spoke at length. He was trying to advise so that Kimberly doesn't continue to sink like she is now.
After years of friendship, Keyra and Alex know that Kimberly's silence doesn't mean that something hasn't happened to her. The woman sometimes likes to hide what she is feeling—especially feelings of sadness and disappointment. They also know how the twists and turns of Kimberly's life.
"Alex is right, Kimmy. If your current relationship isn't bringing you happiness, it's better to end it. Why are you two engaged in an engagement when you're the only one who loves that guy." Kyra also gave advice.
Kimberly took a deep breath. Trying to weigh all the suggestions his best friend said. It's true. His relationship with Nicholas was started by pretending to avoid the wrath of Nicholas's parents. But when it comes to feelings, Kimberly is not kidding. She began to love the man when she accidentally took him and cared for him when her phobia suddenly recurred. Amid racing thoughts, a man approached Kimberly's desk. He was sitting between Keyra and Alex without shame.
"Can I join?" asked the man as he put down the drink.
"Please, Mike. Besides, I see the seats in this cafeteria are full." Keyra shifted her position so that Michael could sit freely. Michael is an employee of the marketing division who has always had a crush on Kimberly. Everyone in AlphaBeta even knew about it. It's an open secret. The man turned his gaze towards Kimberly.
"Why, Kimmy? Is something wrong?" Michael said matter-of-factly. Kimberly lifted her face.
"I-me?" pointed Kimberly to herself.
Michael nodded. "Yes, you. The only one whose name is Kimberly here. You can see from the expression on your face that there is a problem," Michael guessed.
Kimberly smirked. How come everyone can easily tell the expression on his face. Even though she was trying hard to act normal. "Instead of being sad, it's better tonight to go to Mr.Andrew's birthday celebration. The party is at HollyWings," said Michael. The man said while chewing Keyra's french fries served in front of him.
"Oh yes?" asked Kimberly to be sure.
"Yes, Kimmy. If you go, we can pick you up," offered Alex.
"If you need a temporary partner, I'm also ready to be your partner tonight, Kimmy." offered Michael teasingly. Greeted by laughter by Keyra and Alex.
"No one can take Kimberly away without my permission."
Suddenly the baritone voice startled them all without exception.
