Rescue
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Anton could no longer bear the hurtful things his grandmother was saying to his wife, so he stood up and held Ariella's hand, so they could leave.
He said seriously while looking directly at his grandmother, "Aunque soy tu nieto, no tienes derecho a juzgar a mi esposa. Te la presenté y no te pediré tu aprobación".
"Even though I'm your grandson, you have no right to judge my wife. I just introduced her to you and I won't ask for your approval."
He turned his gaze to Ariella and says, "No dejaré que nadie juzgue o lastime a mi esposa. Pensé que la aceptarías, estaba equivocado. Mis expectativas son demasiado altas que la realidad."
"I won't let anyone judge or hurt my wife. I thought you would accept her, I was wrong. My expectations are too higher than the reality."
Madam Victoria was angry at what he said. She pointed her index finger at him, and her face was disfigured now with so much frustration. "No tienes respeto a la vieja señora. ¡Sin mí, no estarás aquí! ¿Cómo pudiste hablarme así? ¿Es eso lo que aprendiste cuando te casaste con esa mujer? ¡Ni siquiera la conociste bien! ¿Pensaste que lo que estabas haciendo y coquetear con una secretaria no me llegó? ¿Una mujer que vive en un maldito área de chistal?
"You have no respect to the old Madam. Without me, you won't be here! How could you talk to me like that? Is that what you learned when you married that woman? You didn't even get to know her well! Did you think that what you were doing and flirting with a secretary didn't get to me? A woman living in a damn squatter area? Maybe she hasn't even finished school yet. All she wants to get from you is money ! Wake up!"
He stops himself from getting angry and saying bad things to his grandmother. Just now they had a misunderstanding. He knows that her standards are very high when it comes to the woman who enters his life. He knows that she wants his wife to be his equal and not a poor woman.
After all, she wouldn't be looking for anything else from Ariella if she first got to know her completely.
He justified with all of his heart, "Puedo decidir por mi cuenta"
"I can decide on my own."
He took a deep breath before turning his gaze to Ariella. He took her hand and asked her to leave.
Ariella was almost speechless during their arguments. She didn't even think she would witness Anton arguing with his grandmother to defend her.
It occurred to her that somehow she has value to Anton. He was ready to despise everyone just to protect her.
She couldn't help but smile secretly as she looked at him while Anton was looking at his grandmother.
Madam Victoria deadly looked at him with so much disappoinment. She said breathlessly, "¡Cómo te atreves, Anton. ¡Sabes cómo desobedecerme ahora solo por una mujer como ella! ¡Un tipo muy bajo de mujer! ¡No la aceptaré!"
"How dare you, Anton. You know how to disobey me now just because of a woman like her! A very low type of woman! I will not accept her!"
"I don't need you to accept her and I won't force or even ask you to accept her." Then they finally left.
Madam Victoria was left alone. She could not believe what she heard and saw. She didn't even think that Anton would be able to tell her those things because in 26 years, they had never fought just because of a woman.
She took a deep breath as she closed her eyes tightly. She couldn't continue eating because of the anger building up in her chest.
Her eyes were glaring, she was very angry. She exclaimed, "¡Esa perra mujer! ¡Te haré sufrir hasta que te mantengas alejado de mi nieto!"
"That bitch woman! I will make you suffer until you stay away from my grandson!"
Then she called her assistant. The assistant immediately approached and obeyed her order.
When the assistant left, a smile suddenly appeared on her lips.
"A slapsoil like you deserves hell and not heaven," she whispered.
After half hour, they immediately returned to Anton's condominium unit. No one dares to say anything except for the sudden beep of the phone which Ariella immediately answered.
While listening to what the caller was saying, Ariella seemed like a statue that couldn't move. Anton noticed that so he approached his wife.
When Ariella hung up the phone, she coldly looked at Anton. No words came out of her mouth except the words "I have to go."
When she was about to leave, Anton stopped her.
"What's the matter? Why are you leaving?" his questions.
"I have to go to my father. He needs me," she answered immediately and didn't hesitate to leave.
Anton followed her. "I'll go with you. Wherever you go, I'll be with you. You might get hurt," he promised as he followed Ariella.
"I can stand by my own, Anton. You have nothing to worry about."
Before he responded, he quickly walked in front of Ariella so that he could stop Ariella from walking.
"I'll go with you. I'm your husband, remember? I also want to meet your father because he didn't attend on our wedding."
The car door opened for her, and sat next to the driver's seat.
It took half an hour before they arrived. They parked the car in the parking lot before getting off.
The sun was shining, but the climate was cold, so they walked because the car did not fit in a small alley.
"What happened to your father?" he asked in surprise as they walked.
"Ara, my youngest sister, told me that they were evicted from the apartment they were renting. Someone bought the apartment last night, so the staffs of the new owner of the apartment forcibly evicted them," she explained. When Anton spoke, Ariella received a call from her sister.
They hear the voices of her sister and her father screaming. There were also men talking and shouting at them to leave.
Ariella is worried. Her heart was beating fast, and she might be engulfed in confusion and panic.
"You have to calm down, okay? Relax," Anton told Ariella softly and softly. Ariella didn't like what he said, so she looked at Anton badly.
"Relax? Calm down?" she asked, and her face frowned.
Her eyebrows met. "How could you say that?"
Before speaking, he held Ariella's hands, and smiled sweetly.
He said softly and calmly, "I understand how you feel, but you have to calm down. Everything will be alright."
Ariella listened to him. She took a deep breath and refreshed her brain, so she could think properly.
They continued walking until they heard a noise from not far away. They immediately had an idea of what was going on, so Ariella ran over.
From where she was standing, she saw her father and sister arguing with the bodyguards of the new owner of the apartment. Their belongings are scattered on the road and some bodyguards try to drive them away.
"Please, give us some time. My father and I have nowhere to live. You feel sorry for us. Have mercy on us," her sister cried and begged, but the bodyguards did not listen to her cries and pushed her so that she fell down.
"Don't hurt my daughter! You have no right!" Her father shouted angrily.
It seemed that her heart was broken while seeing the condition of her father and sister. She approached them.
"Ariella, we don't have a home anymore. They're evicting us. We have nowhere to go," she wailed to her sister.
"Ariella, why are you here? What are you doing here?" her father asked. He didn't know that Ara called Ariella.
"Leave before Madam V arrives! That's not all you'll get if you insist!" said the bodyguard.
Ariella approached them. She surveyed the men dressed all in black. She could tell that their boss was very rich because of their clothes. It seems in her mind that they are serving a royal family.
