Found out
CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE
FOUND OUT
Anton was suddenly speechless when Ariella asked him. He didn't know how to get through it. Ariella might be surprised.
She just stared at Ariella's hand holding some strands of Cindy's hair.
His tongue seemed to fold suddenly that he couldn't tell that it was from Cindy's hair. He already knew what she would think if that happened.
"Don't you here me?" she asked.
"Maybe Kurt's girlfriend. He borrowed my car last time, remember?"
She took a deep breath at his answer.
That wasn't what she expected his answer to be. Her feelings are different. She thinks and has a hunch that there is another reason.
She noticed. It seems strange to her.
"You better sleep, my wife. Have some rest, okay."
She smiled before she lay down on the bed. When she closed her eyes, many imaginations came to her mind.
A few moments later, she felt that Anton was already lying down, so she pretended to be asleep.
While Anton thought she was asleep, he opened the laptop again. He checked if Ariella was still awake but she was already asleep.
Ariella just felt him. Ariella had no idea what he was doing. She was unaware that her husband was talking to another woman, and Anton's ex.
As they talked, he felt happy every time he talked to her. It's as if his old feelings are coming back where he was just complacent.
You can see the smile on Anton's lips. To make sure, he kept looking at Ariella who he thought was sleeping.
An hour passed that they talked until Ariella finally fell asleep. When she woke up, Anton was already asleep.
She got up and remained sitting on the bed watching Anton sleeping soundly. She thought about what he was doing while she was sleeping earlier.
She looked at his laptop on the side table. She slowly got off the bed and walked towards it.
She took it and went back to bed.
She had her back to him as she sat on the bed, her feet on the floor.
She opened it, and opened Anton's facebook account and checked his messenger. She didn't see Anton having a conversation with another woman, but the feeling and nervousness was still there in her chest. She had a suspicion that she couldn't explain.
She opened everything, even photos, calls, and so on, until this app caught her attention, so she thought of opening the Instagram app.
That's when the full conversation between him and his ex was revealed to her.
At the very beginning, when she read the name in Anton's chat list, it seemed as if her chest suddenly tightened a lot. She couldn't explain what she was feeling. It ached so much.
She read their full conversation and was stunned as if she was enveloped in sadness. It looked like needles and knives were piercing her chest and heart is like paper crumpled up.
She briefly looked at Anton who is sleeping soundly.
Now she found out that she was with Anton earlier. Even their meeting at the restaurant and saving her.
She felt that her tears were about to fall so she looked up to avoid them and breathed deeply.
"My wife," Anton muttered while sleeping so she immediately put the laptop back on the side table. She fixed herself so that Anton would not notice in case he looked at her.
She sat on the bed and leaned her back against the wall.
Many things were running through her mind. There were many questions she could not answer.
She was just stunned while pondering when Anton woke up.
"My wife," he whispered.
She looked down at Anton.
"What are you thinking?" he asked while caressing her cheek.
Their eyes met, and while looking at him, her mind was filled with questions that she could not answer. She didn't even want to ask, and is not ready to hear what he should not hear.
After a few seconds passed, he replied, "Nothing. I am not just sleepy now." Calm but her heart and mind are losing.
Anton smiled like honey, still caressing her cheek.
She couldn't look at him for any longer, so she looked away and turned her attention to something else, so that their eyes wouldn't meet, and so that she could avoid asking questions in her mind again and again.
"My wife," it seemed like a cold wind made hairs stand on end.
She looked for a moment so that Anton could continue whatever he had to say.
"Will you kiss me?"
She frowned slightly as she met Anton's gentle gaze as if he is attracting her.
Although she was not shocked, she did not know what to do.
Will she kiss Anton as he requested or not? Because it seems that the cold enveloped her feelings.
Anton's eyes are closed and waiting for her lips to touch, but Ariella is stunned. She didn't know how to do that as she didn't seem to want to kiss Anton. It seems that her heart doesn't want it.
When Anton waited a few seconds, he opened his eyes and looked directly at her. Without a word, he grabbed Ariella with a kiss. A passionate kiss that she couldn't move her body.
Her eyes just opened in shock at what Anton did. Anton seemed to feel if Ariella would kiss back but he couldn't continue kissing Ariella.
Ariella didn't realize that she was returning the kiss until their kiss became intense, but she unexpectedly pushed Anton's face away when she remembered what she had figured out earlier.
Anton was surprised because she never did that before.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"I'm sorry. I'm just not in my mood right now. I want to sleep," she replied and lay down again. She wrapped half of her body with a blanket and closed her eyes.
"Goodnight," he added.
Anton didn't get angry, and he just understood Ariella. Even though he felt he was getting hot, he didn't want to force Ariella.
Before he lay down again, he kissed Ariella on the forehead and said 'Goodnight'.
Her eyes was already closed but he couldn't sleep so he opened it. He didn't know what to do to make him sleepy. He tried to think until he decided to go outside and get some fresh air.
He did not know that Ariella was only pretending to sleep. Her eyes were just closed but she is still awake. She can feel him.
His eyes were hurting because he was forcing to sleep.
She heard Anton open the door and knew he was out, so she opened her eyes.
She is now being led by a hunch that she didn't feel for Anton before.
Very careful. She followed stealthily and stopped.
Anton was already outside, standing. She noticed that he seemed to be talking to someone on the phone. Besides that, she noticed that he seemed happy while they were talking.
Suddenly her chest ached again.
'Late night talks?' laughing at her annoyed question to herself as she looked annoyed at him.
She did not approach him or even call him. She remained where she was, just watched Anton while he was talking to someone over the phone.
She thought that maybe the person she was talking to was his ex-girlfriend, but she forced herself to think that maybe they were just workmates or friends of him.
He heard Anton say goodbye on the phone, and she knew he was coming in, but she didn't move. She just kept looking at him and standing.
When Anton turned around, he was very surprised to see Ariella. Traces in his eyes.
"My wife, wh-what… have you been here for a while?"
She calmly replied, "Maybe."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I just got a call from my friend."
She remained calm as if she didn't hear anything. She knows the truth. She's not a friend, but his ex. It is a big deal to her. Of course it is. He lied many times to her just for her, so it's a big deal.
"A friend?" she asked, still calm just to pretend.
He smiled, a smile full of lies, and kissed her on the forehead.
He said, "Yes, my wife." He held her hand. "We better go to bed. Let us sleep again?"
She didn't nod or answer but only looked at him. There is no mixed emotion in her facial expression.
