Leave
CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE
"Let go of me!" Ariella shouted while trying to remove Anton's hand. Anton doesn't let go of her because he knows Ariella will leave.
"Let's fix this, please," he begged but Ariella was determined to leave.
"I will push you away if you insist, Anton! Don't test me!"
"Then do it! Hurt me as long as you want," he said.
Ariella didn't say a word but all she was doing was removing his hand. She couldn't do that to Anton either.
Anton begged and almost cried for her just to stay and not leave him. He knelt down and begged, "Please, let us fix this. Listen to me first. Please, my wife. Please forgive me. D-dont leave me."
Ariella can't help but feel sorry for him especially since she sees that Anton is serious but she doesn't show mercy. Anger and bait prevailed in her heart.
"Don't leave me, please. I can't live my life without you."
"I can't talk to you for now, Anton. Give me some space to think," she said, this time her voice was a little calmer.
"Let us fix this. This is just a test for us, we can do it please, don't leave me," he begged and begged.
He repeatedly begged Ariella not to leave. He hugged Ariella tightly which she didn't like.
"Please, my wife. I will do everything. Forgive me, my wife. Let us fix this," he begged again.
Ariella tried to push him away but Anton hugged her so tightly that she couldn't get away from him.
"I love you, my wife. You know that. I can't live my life without you. Please, if I've done something wrong, forgive me-"
She pushed him away. "You really believe you didn't do anything wrong? Isn't it wrong to talk, meet, eat together, drive home, go to the store together? Aren't those things wrong for you? Is that really your mindset?"
Anton was speechless when she said those things. He also gradually remembers those events.
"I can't believe you, Anton. I thought you were different from the men I met, but I was wrong for expecting that," she added then wipes her tears away. She boosts her confidence. "I made a mistake marrying you."
She left when she said that and Anton couldn't stop her anymore.
He just stood there and was stunned for a while.
When he realized that Ariella had left, he ran outside and tried to stop Ariella.
Ariella was close to the gate, and he even managed to chase after her to prevent her from leaving.
"My wife, let us fix this," he begged and held her hand tightly. "Please, give me another chance. I will correct my wrongs. Please, stay." He even knelt down while begging Ariella not to leave.
Although Ariella feels sorry for him, she feels a heavy weight in her chest, and every time she looks at Anton, she feels more pain and difficulty.
She couldn't stop the tears from falling. She just kept wiping away every tear that fell.
"Don't leave me, my wife, please," he begged and cried for her forgiveness and for her to stay. "Tell me what I have to do so you can forgive me."
"If there's something you can do for now….that is give me some space. Give me some time to think. Let me leave for now, please."
"We can fix this, my wife. Just stay and don't leave me."
"I am begging you. Give me some space, Anton. Please, even just for now."
He didn't force Ariella anymore. He let her go. He just looked at her as she walked away, while he was in that position, kneeling and hands on the ground.
Tears fell from his eyes without him realizing it.
He stood up and ran out to look for Ariella but she was gone. Ariella has already left.
"My wife," he whispered weakly.
At that moment, he just sat down. He didn't know what to do. He wants to scream because of what happened.
He leaned against the wall and looked at the cloudy sky until the rain slowly fell on his face.
He just let it go until the rain gradually increased. Thunder like a drum and lightning until the rain is too heavy.
He didn't care if he was getting wet from the rain. He didn't mind the cold breeze.
He let himself cry at the same time as the heavy rain.
The rain stopped for a while so he went inside. He took a bottle of wine and sipped it little by little.
He went out and let the rain get wet again. The rain started again but he didn't care.
"Damn it!!" he shouted.
Whether it's thunder or lightning, he doesn't care. He continued to drink alcohol until he ran out of it.
He is very drunk. His eyes were closing due to drunkenness and sleepiness. He's still trying to walk even though he's too dizzy to walk. He staggered if he walked and felt like he would fall but he still tried to walk to enter the house but he couldn't because he was so drunk.
He fell down until he completely lay down. He was still holding the bottle of wine.
Water from the rain entered his eyes because he was still awake. He didn't realize that he had fallen asleep outside.
He was not aware of what he was doing.
By early morning, the rain had subsided. Anton still slept until the sun rose.
Ariella came and saw Anton so she quickly walked and approached him.
"Anton, wake up!" She shake Anton's body to wake him up. "Hey! Wake up! Get up there!"
Anton opened his eyes slowly and saw her, so he smiled widely.
"You came back, my wife," he said.
"Get up! Why did you sleep here?"
"Good morning, my wife. Can you kiss me?"
She frowned at what he said, and ignored it. "Get up!"
Instead of getting up, Anton rolled over and then lay down again. He looks like a whining child.
"What do you think you are doing? Huh! Get up! I don't want to waste my time forcing you to get up and clean yourself!"
Anton tightly holds her hand, says, "Help me. I'm not feeling well."
"What about me? Am I feeling well?"
Anton did not say a word but just looked at her. Since Ariella can't hold it for more, she helped him to get up. Then, suddenly, she felt something wrong about him.
"You're hot," she commented when she felt his arm.
"I know I am," he said.
To make it clear, she checked his neck and forehead.
"You have a flu. Did you sleep here when it rained last night?"
"I can't remember. Did it rain last night?"
Ariella didn't say anythin
g and just supported her and walked inside.
He sat on the sofa and went straight to lie down.
"Don't leave me again," he said softly and weakly.
