Hi
CHAPTER SIX
He stammered, "He-hello?"
The caller didn't speak again and ended the call. It confused him but he didn't think about it anymore when he saw Ariella.
His gaze focused on the dress she was wearing. It reminded him of something.
He smiled while memories came back to his mind. He remembered the first moment he picked up her at her house to attend his brother's 21st birthday.
He was the only one who bought that dress, the orange dress, for her.
In addition, he remembered Ariella's ex-boyfriend, Tanner. He remembered how Ariella cried in front of her because of the pain caused by betrayal and cheating.
The smile on his face slowly faded. When he looked at her, he didn't see Ariella's face but his ex-fiancée's face. He could clearly see the angelic face of her smiling at him.
Maybe he's just hallucinating. Maybe he's just being delusional?
He should forget her. They didn't see each other for almost one and a half years. Maybe his ex-fiancée found someone better than him who can devote his time to her.
Time is really precious. It's gold. It's important. Time is what she wants that he didn't give.
Ariella is now his wife. They are married now. He must move forward and learn to love her with all of his heart….
"Honey butter?" she called when she noticed him stunned for minutes.
Anton came back to his senses. He blinked, and says, "What?— Uhm…are you ready now?"
She nodded with a smile and approached him. She just stood in front of him, looking down at her dress, she asks, "Am I pretty, my honey butter?" Then, she looked at him sweetly.
Anton stared at her, directly into her eyes. There is something in his mind.
He nodded with a smile and grabbed her hand which shocked Ariella.
She blinked a million times, thinking about his weird actions. She was a bit confused about his weird actions since last night. But why she's thinking his actions are weird? It's normal since they are newly husband and wife. She must used to it and expect more things than those.
As his wife, she has to do her responsibilities as his wife—serve him food, cook for him, do the household courses, do laundry, and many more.
"Shall we go, my wife? Honey butter?" Then, he sneered.
She raised her eyebrow and said, "Yes, my husband, honey butter." Then, a sweet smile drew on her face upon calling him 'my husband.'
After 20 minutes, they arrived at La Villa Wang's building. Staff and employees greeted them.
"Good morning, Ma'am and Sir."
"Good morning, Sir Anton. Good morning, Ma'am Ariella."
They greeted them as well and smiled in a response to them.
They were about to enter the elevator when they met Kim who seemed to be in a hurry and restless.
Seemingly troubled, she approached them and said, "Finally, Sir Anton. Our client arrived earlier, but she left 15 minutes ago." Then, she took a deep breath.
Maybe their business client couldn't wait any longer so she left even before they arrived. They knew the exact time of their business client's arrival but they didn't think about it.
"Did you inform Mrs. Villafuerte that we are on our way earlier?" He asked.
While speaking, they walked towards his office. Kimberly, his secretary, followed them.
They finally reached his office.
Following his boss, Anton, Kimberly said, "I told her you are on your way, but she said she hates waiting."
Before speaking, Anton sat down, Ariella was sitting on the bench next to him, opening the documents that required Anton's signature. She could be the one to sign, but it's not possible right now.
She was speechless during Anton and Kim's conversation, and while they were talking, she first looked at Anton's schedules for the day.
She had expected that Anton would be busy today and in the days to come which is why she was telling herself that she needed to get used to not having Anton by her side.
She knows that her life will not be easy but it has also occurred to her that somehow she has a good life now compared to her life before. At least she now has a luxurious life because of Anton.
Maybe if she didn't agree to marry Anton, she might still be experiencing a scratch and a beak.
"...but she said her sister will be waiting. She will send the address to you," Kim said, then, handed him the other documents. "These are the documents that require your signature today."
He just took it and put it down on the table without taking a look at it.
He shrugged and said, "I'll sign later and cancel my meetings today. Reschedule it for tomorrow." Then, he glanced at his wife, Ariella. A smile drew on his face, he continued, "I want to spend my time with my wife the whole day."
Upon hearing this, Ariella felt a butterfly in her stomach, flying in her stomach. She asked herself in mind if he is sincere or if he just said those because Kim was there.
She could feel that smile want to appear on her face but she tried not to smile.
Kim, on the other hand, stared at her in an unexpected moment. Her eyes couldn't take off Ariella.
Kim often asked herself in mind, 'Why Ariella?'. Kim was the only one there when Anton and his ex-fiancée broke up. She comfort him and didn't leave him even though Anton was pushing her away. She advised him and often remind him someone better is yet to come though she wants that someone to be her.
She did everything she could so that Anton wouldn't feel he was alone and to let him feel that she was there. She want him to feel her love for him, but it didn't happen.
Maybe he never notices how Kim is deeply in love with him.
Now, he is married to an unexpected girl which is Ariella. She has nothing to do with it. She has to accept that she's just his secretary, that's all…
"Cancel your meetings?" she repeated and barely looked at him, then looked back at Ariella.
While signing the documents, he responded, "I said to cancel my meetings today and reschedule it for tomorrow. Got it?" Then, he stared at her.
Kim was stunned for a moment. Then, she came back to her senses and realized she was deep in thought earlier, she said, "Noted, Sir Anton."
Anton waved his hand, signaling her to leave which she obeyed. All of a sudden, his phone vibrated It caught Ariella's attention.
Her gaze was focused on the phone and noticed an sms on the notification bar.
She barely looked at Anton who is now looking at her.
He smiled while looking at her, and he coldly said, "Do you want to read the message sent by my client?"
She shook her head with a smile on her face, she says, "No need, honey butter. Pick up your phone. Maybe our business client is waiting for you."
Upon hearing this, he picked up his phone and read the message. He saw the address sent by his client.
He was stunned for a moment upon reading the address. It was one of his go-to spots. Also, he was a bit confused about why do they have to meet there.
He shrugged. Maybe that was just the place his client wants.
As he remembered, Mrs. Villafuerte, his client, is not the one who was waiting for him but her sister. She was unknown to him for now. He doesn't have an idea who Mrs. Villafuerte's sister is.
"Let's go, my wife?"
Ariella frowned upon hearing this. "Where?" she asked.
"Do you want to come with me to meet our business client or just wait for me here?" He asked.
She gave him a sweet smile before she shook her head and said, "I will wait for you. Go now."
"You sure? Don't you want to be with me wherever I go?"
She sneered. "Haha. I know you know your limits, my husband. I don't have to go with you. I will just wait for you here until you come back."
"Okay. I'm leaving."
She just smiled in response, but she didn't expect Anton will kiss her on her lips.
It shocked her at the same time gave her a warm feeling.
Watching him back, a smile appeared on her face.
All of a sudden, Anton stopped and looked at her again. "My wife!" he called causing her to look at him in surprise.
She raised her left eyebrow as a sign of waiting. "You really sure you want to wait for me?"
She laughed a little and said, "Yes, honey butter.
Upon hearing this, he left immediately and went to the address sent by his client.
He is still confused when he arrived at the bar. He entered and look for his client's sister.
"Hey! Here!" a woman shouted while waving her hands.
His attention was caught by the woman, and when he looked at her, he saw her clearly, he suddenly stopped.
Gently waving to him, a smile could be seen on her face.
Anton, on the other hand, was stunned upon seeing her. Questions wrapped around his mind. He blinked once, twice, thrice….
He is not daydreaming, not an illusion.
"Hi!" she greeted with a warm smile on her face.
