LACK OF TIME
Ariella looked at the calendar in front of her as she wondered why she was a week delay. Her menstruation period was delayed for a week already.
She has an idea, so she woke up early to take a shower. She's going to consult a doctor so she can be more sure if her suspicion is true.
She doesn't feel anything different about her. She also doesn't see any signs that she's pregnant, but she's one week delay. Only one thing immediately came to her mind, maybe she was pregnant.
She's so excited that she didn't let Anton know. She's unassured yet but she is already happy even though he knows in himself that he is not ready.
Anton also woke up early but he was off work today so she wanted to go with him so they could both find out.
The joy she felt was incomparable, something she had never experienced before, even if she wasn't sure if it was true or not.
One thing for sure, she's pregnant now.
"Honey, will you come with me? Please?”
"My wife, I have so many things to do in the office. I have so many papers that I need to sign and check. Please, take Nanny Yel with you," he said. Sheimmediately felt bad and suddenly sad. She was losing the will to go to the clinic without him.
Though she's emotionally not feeling well right now… still want to find out together and see it in the ultrasound.
"You are off work, honey. Can't you really be with me even for a moment?”
"My wife, I hope you understand me. It's really something important."
Even if she convinces him to go with her, his decision is really final.
Anton left without even a kiss. Anton never left without kissing her before.
She lazily sat on the bed with so many thoughts. Uncountable wonders in her mind.
She couldn't understand Anton why he suddenly changed like that. She couldn't think of a reason as they were okay then. He suddenly changed.
She's so confused and feeling not okay.
She thought for a long time before she decided to go ahead with going to the OB-Gyne clinic.
He can be alone even if Anton is not with him.
He sent Driver Tan to the said clinic. He waited a few more hours because someone was ahead of his patient.
When it's her turn, she immediately went to the room. The doctor asked a lot of questions before giving him a small jar. There he will put a little urine to use in the pregnancy test.
When she's done, she just waited outside again until the result came.
"Congratulations, Mommy, you are one week pregnant," she happily said and gave him the paper with the pregnancy results and the PT.
He almost cried when he heard it because of how happy he was.
"I'm really pregnant?" she asked to make it clear to her.
"Yes, Mom. You are pregnant. Now, lie down first for the ultrasound so we can see the baby," he said as he followed.
He was even more happy when he saw the little one on the screen. It's still very small but the doctor has already shown her where the baby is.
After that, he came out with a good news for Anton.
She wants to surprise him when he gets home.
“What's the results, Ma'am?”
“You'll know soon,” she said with a wide smile on her face. If earlier he was sad, now the pity he feels is overflowing.
"Take me to Zy Bites," she said. She suddenly craves for donuts and feels hungry.
He couldn't get rid of the wide smile on his lips as he held his stomach.
She is sure that Anton will be very happy when he finds out that they will have a baby that he has wanted for a long time. The baby will be a way for their relationship to be strong.
This is unexpected pregnancy but she accepted it and she is very happy even though she is not ready for pregnancy especially with the responsibilities of being a mother.
Right now, she wants to buy baby dresses and some other baby essentials. He is very excited about his baby.
He suddenly thought of what good name he would give to their future child. But he doesn't know the gender yet so he can't think of a name.
When they were there, he sent Driver Tan away first. He said he will call her when he wants to go home.
There, she went to the VIP room. Fortunately, he was the only one there.
A few moments later, he did not expect what he would see.
She was shocked to see Anton and Cindy together. It was like she was nailed to her seat with her eyes unable to blink, directly looking at them. She could see them happily together.
It was like a glass that suddenly broke when he saw the two of them together.
Until Anton noticed him. According to his reaction, he was very shocked and he was almost at a loss as to what to do.
Ariella couldn't take it anymore. When Anton approached him and he ran away. Anton followed him but Cindy stopped him so he didn't chase Ariella anymore. He just let her go.
Ariella didn't know where her feet would take her, so all she could do was leave, run away.
He didn't expect what he would see. He didn't even say a word, instead, he just left because he couldn't take what he saw.
She didn't even imagine that they were together. She can't accept it. She doesn't know how to accept it.
How could she face him and talk to him? She finds it hard.
Later on, she stopped when she's exhausting, and remembered she's pregnant.
She didn't know where to go until she remembered her family, father and sister, so she decided to go there for a while.
First, she wipes her tears and makes sure that it is not noticeable that she cried. She tried her best to avoid thinking of what she saw earlier.
"What a surprise, sister." Ara said.
She pretended to laugh and said, "I just came to visit you. How's your life here?"
Ara prepared some food for her, while she sat on the sofa.
As long as he doesn't think about what he saw and discovered earlier, he won't cry. He doesn't want them to see him crying again because of Anton and the same reason.
"Why didn't you watch the boat show yesterday? You should have seen how good your father is at boating," his father boasted.
She just laughed but it was fake. She said, "I didn't know. If only I had known, Anton and I would have watched. We will cheer for you, you know that.”
He laughed at what she said. "It's okay. We're glad you visited us. It's good that you still remember us," he said.
Ara put down the tray with food and drink on the table before sitting on the other sofa.
"What's the matter? Has something happened? The last time you came here was when-"
"Yeah. I just came for a visit. That's all. Don't think too much," she said.
Suddenly, his phone rang. Anton was calling but he just watched it. He didn't even touch his phone that was on the table.
They noticed it, so they got confused
“Why don't you answer it? Anton is calling.” Ara said.
"Is there something wrong? Did you fight?" her dad asked.
She shook her head. "No. I just don't want him to disturb us. I will answer it later when he calls again."
Ara and her Dad looked at each other as if they knew the real reason.
As Ariella tasted the salad, she didn't like it and felt nauseous.
“What's this? It's disgusting," he commented before drinking the juice.
Ara was surprised because of what he said. First of all, he had just made a salad and tasted it before serving it to her.
“What's the taste? You don't like it?" she asked and came closer to have a taste. "Mmmm... it's absolutely delicious," she commented. "Dad, try it."
Her Dad also tasted the salad and they said the same thing, but Ariella didn't like it so she went to the kitchen to gag. He didn't really like the taste. It is indeed because of her pregnancy.
Now they are circumcised.
When he came back, he drank the juice again but put the salad away from him. He didn't even want to look at it.
“Wait….wait….wait…. The salad was good but you didn't like it. You feel nauseous. That only means one thing….” Ara said.
"Are you pregnant?" Their dad asked first.
"I'm going to have my first ever nephew?" Ara asked excitedly.
Ariella had a wide smile on her lips so that served as the answer to their question.
"Really? I'm having a grandchild?!”
"Oh my God! I can't believe it! Really? Tell us directly that you are
really pregnant. You're with a baby? Finally?”
But even more, he nodded, then said, "Yes."
There was no smile on their lips because of what he said.
