Chapter 85 The Boys
Chapter 85 The Boys
ELIZABETH'S POV
Being here, right now feels like a dream. Surrounded by family once again. This is a special moment for me.... all of us.
As more of my family emerge from behind the clouds, the circle gets larger. Everyone staring at my mother and I, waiting patiently for us to say something. Once everyone one of us were gathered, my mother began.
"Welcome back, ladies." She greets with everyone with a smile. "This is it. The time we all have been waiting for and we are going to conquer the demons once and for all. By the time we are finished, all demons should be extinct, just like they wanted us to be!"
"Do you understand me?!"
"Yes, your majesty." Everyone say as they lower their heads in respect.
"We shall stick by each other's side no matter what. We are all family and we stick by that." She pauses, looking at everyone. "I want you all on your best behavior... and we shall lay out our plan in the morning. It's been a long night and we should get some rest." My mother says final, before lowering down to the ground, leaving us.
Everyone stays quiet as they watch my mother disappear in to the woods. I am distracted by arms thrown around me making lose concentration. "Oh my god, I missed you so much." Jules shrieks in my ear.
I laugh at her excitement. "Weren't you asleep most of the time?"
"Yeah, but all I dreamt about is being here and what we're going to do." She says pulling away and looks all at me. "Wow, what did you say this girl's name is? She's gorgeous."
"Her name is Elle, plus it runs through the bloodline." I smirk.
She giggles at my statement but we are interrupted by everyone else staring at us. "Liz, what should we do now?" Jazmine asks for everyone.
"Like my mother said, we get the rest we need and tomorrow we discuss our plan."
"We've been in a slumber for almost a year, the last thing we need is rest."
"Then let's party!" Jules suggests getting everyone's attention.
"What?" Everyone asks in unison.
"To past time. Come on, we would always have some party gathering in the night back then."
"Yeah, when we barely had any worries." Jazmine states.
"I know but let's get our minds off it. Call it a celebration for successfully getting here to kill the demons once and for all." They all look to be taking it into consideration.
"I'm in." Molly shouts and everyone begins to join in.
Jules turns to Jazmine and raises an eyebrow. "Fine." She agrees and then looks at me. "What about the princess?"
"Sorry ladies but this person," I say gesturing to Elle's body. "Has a baby girl waiting for her and she's been through a lot tonight so she needs her rest. I won't be partying with you tonight."
Everyone groans disappointed, especially Jules. I send her an apology smile before telling them to stay in the barrier for the rest of the night and I am pretty sure Nik already saw everything that just happened. It is kind of hard to miss with all of us gathered in one spot in the sky.
After getting the message , we all lowered to the ground where Andrew was still waiting. He looks like a lost puppy especially when everyone's eyes are on him. I give them a look, warning them to leave him alone.
I say goodbye to everyone leaving Jules in charge and leave with Andrew.
"Are you sure it's safe leaving them like that?"
"What? You don't trust my family?"
"It's not that. It just that they really came back to get revenge. What if they want to get revenge sooner?"
"They won't. I left my trusted bestfriend in charge, she'll keep them under control. Plus, they are under strict orders from my mother, they know better." I state.
He leaves at that and stays quiet the rest of the walk back to the cottage. But as I walk back guilt takes over me. The real reason I didn't stay with them is because of my guilt. They still don't I'm the reason we're all here right now, in this situation. I can't stand being around them and celebrating when I am keeping this secret from them.
Of course Jules is the only one that knows and she never judged me... but they aren't Jules. They aren't that easy to forgive and definitely not after 2 centuries of secrecy.
~~~~~
ELLE'S POV
Being drawn back really did drain my energy, I really didn't miss this part. I stop walking, feeling dizzy and lean against a tree.
"What's wrong?" Andrew asks place his hand on my lower back. I relax feeling his touch and turn around to lean on his chest. "Elle?" I nod in response and at the same time I feel my legs give out.
He catches me in time and lifts me up bridal style. "I got you, baby." He whispers and continues to walk.
"What happened?" I hear Daniel ask.
"She's fine Just needs some rest." I could feel the familiar warmth and smell the familiar scent of pine cone, so I knew we are in the cottage. "Is your leg ok?"
"Yep, healed and ready. So... are the ladies settled in?"
"Leave them alone, Daniel." Andrew warns.
"I am not going to do anything. Can't a man be friendly?"
"Not you."
"Whatever."
"Where is everyone else?"
"Lyra and Rhea are getting some rest, Simon and Junior are getting cleaned up and Jeremiah is watching Cora." Hearing Cora is ok made me relaxed and I finally allowed myself to fall asleep.
~~~~~~
Chaos.
That's what I hear when I wake up. Baby crying, pans crashing, grown men screaming at each other or crying and did I mention my is baby crying?
I quickly jump out of made and stump into the kitchen. There is a shirtless Andrew trying to calm a crying Cora, down. Simon is picking up pans off the ground while Junior and Jeremiah are running around with random ingredients in their hands and even in their mouth.
I look around to see loads of food laid out on the table, along with dirty dishes in the sink.
"What is going on here?!" I shout across the room, getting their attention. They all sigh of relief seeing me and I quickly walk over to Andrew and take Cora in to my arms which immediately calms her down.
"That's all I had to do?" Andrew asks as if he's a about to cry.
"Thank god you're here. We are trying to make breakfast for everyone but it's impossible. We are running out of food, everyone is grumpy, Rhea and Lyra are having their 'Tea time' and she wouldn't stop crying." Simon cries pointing to Cora.
"Ok.. and where is Daniel?"
"The last time I saw him, he was star gazing outside." Junior informs.
Andrew scuffs beside me and say, "He was star gazing alright." In a sarcastic tone.
"Ok. Did you guys at least ask all of them if they wanted anything?" They all shake their heads and I sigh, not surprised. "Why don't you two ask?" I suggest to Jeremiah and Junior. They both sigh leaving the room and I turn to Simon. "What do you got for me so far?"
"There is about 69 pancakes, a large pot of Cream and wheat porridge, a total of 40 eggs, both fried and boiled. We didn't know how they liked it and there are currently two trays of muffins in the oven."
"Did you at least make tea or coffee?"
"Oh right." He quickly scrambles around grabbing the coffee beans and gets to work.
"What should I do?" Andrew asks.
I turn around getting distracted by him being shirtless, not remembering what he just said. "Elle?"
"Huh? Um.... go help Simon. I'll take care of Cora." He nods and kisses both Cora and I on the head before working with Simon.
I hold her up to my face and shower her with kisses. "I guess it's just you and me now." I say to Cora. Literally right after, she throws up on me. I gasp from shock and look down at the mess on my shirt.
"Yeah, I feel the same way right now."
It's one hour later and we successfully got the chaos under control. Luckily, not everyone wanted to eat but the ones who did, finished everything. I'm pretty sure I saw Jeremiah and Simon snuck some food in their rooms.
It's that serious, especially when they ran out of blood a few weeks ago. There is about 10 more blood bags and they are slowly taking shares. Lets just say they're on a diet.
Speaking of vampires, I still have not seen Daniel at all since morning and I am starting to get worried. I just finished washing my hair, getting all the dirt and stick tangled in it. I did the usual routine and let it down for a change. I look at my reflection in the small mirror and smile satisfied with what I see.
At least I look decent after the hell I went through last night.
I take one last look at Cora sleeping on the bed before closing the door so no one disturbs her nap. Turning around I bump into someone and I internally groan at my dump ass for not watching where I'm going.
"I'm sorry." I apologize tiredly and looking up to see who it is but I'm met with an unfamiliar face.
"Liz, it's me and I'm sorry, I should have watched where I was going."
I tilt my head confused, being slow as usual. Realizing who she think I am, I quickly clear this up. "Oh no, I'm not Elizabeth."
"Oh, you're... Elle, right?"
"Yes, I am."
"Well, I'm Jules. Elizabeth's bestfriend aka soul sister." She introduces with a bright smile and puts her hand out for a handshake. A smile grows on my lips liking how sweet she is.
I shake her hand and say without thinking, "You and Elizabeth are completely different."
Her smile falls and she looks at me with sympathy. "She wasn't always like this you know. She used to be the life of everything, the kindest soul anyone has ever met but... you know what happened. I'm not saying she isn't now, but she did change."
I stay silent, trying to imagine what Elizabeth was like back then. "I'm sorry that you were dragged into this. You don't deserve to be dragged down into a war your ancestors couldn't finish."
"I'm not happy about it but I am doing this for my family, so that my child can grow up without worrying if some demons might snatch her in her sleep or us running for the rest of our lives."
She smiles at me once more and look at me as if impressed. "You're a strong and brave woman, I like that."
I felt proud hearing her say that about me and I'm really not used to compliments so I just smile awkwardly. Remembering she was going somewhere, I ask what is was. "I'm sorry, where were you going earlier?"
"Oh, I almost forgot. The bathroom, I really need to pee. Lyra, practically shoved 5 cups of cerasee tea down our throats. I thought I gotten away from it but... nope."
I laugh knowing the feeling. I don't know how she drinks it so easily, it's so bitter. I step a side so she could get into the room but stop here remembering someone. "Um, have you seen Daniel by any chance?"
"Daniel...?"
"Yeah, a lot hair, bright blue eyes."
"Oh, blue eyes. Yeah, we met him last night."
Of course they did. "Do you know where I can find him?"
"By the fountain and tip, bring some clothes." She says before running into the room.
Clothes, why?
Confused, I walk into the kitchen to see everyone sitting down, on the verge of falling asleep. "Boys." They don't seem to hear so I call a little louder this time. "Boys!"
"Huh?" They ask in unison except for one.
"Chicken fingers!" Simon shouts, jumping from freight.
"Get up, we're taking a hike."
"Why?" Jeremiah cries.
"We need to get Daniel."
"Daniel is a big boy, I'm pretty sure he can find his way back." Andrew mumbles, closing his eyes again.
I walk up behind him and kneel down to his ear. "You can get a little gift when we come back." I whisper with a smirk on my face. His eyes snap open and quickly jumps out of his chair.
"Guys, I think we should go, it's good for exercise."
"This dude did not just say exercise." Junior laughs and Simon joins in.
"Would you guys just get up?"
"Ugh, fine." I smile in success and also mischievously. Andrew's 'little gift', is taking care of the hungry Cora that's going to be awake in the next hour. If he thinks I am having sex for the next few months he's sadly mistaken.
Finally after 20 minutes of listening to their groaning and complaining we finally got to the fountain. I look around confused , seeing the place is empty. She said by the fountain.
"Great, where is he now?"
"Shh." I shush Jeremiah when I hear something in the woods.
"Help." I hear something say in a lower case. I follow the voice with the boys behind me. Daniel comes into view and he is definitely not dead.
"Woah!" We all say in unison looking away from the sight. Daniel is full on butt naked, tied to a tree.
"Hey guys. I kind of got myself in a little predicament." He awkwardly laughs.
"I told you to leave them alone." Andrew groans.
"I know.... but I couldn't help it. I got lonely."
"You've been lonely for a year now, what's the difference?" Jeremiah asks.
"You get tired of your hand at some point."
"Ugh!" We all groan from disgust.
"Could you just help me?"
"I don't know, maybe we should leave you up there for the day." Jeremiah jokes.
"Haha, very funny. Now untie me."
Without looking, I push the clothes I brought for him to the person nearest to me and that is Jeremiah. "Wha- I'm not getting him down." Jeremiah complains and then throws it to Andrew.
"Nope." Was all he said before throwing it to Junior.
"I'm good." He then throws it to Simon.
"Really?" Simon asks nonchalantly before walking over to Daniel.
"Thanks man."
"Shut up." Simon says to Daniel, clearly not happy.
"Ok."
