###Chapter 102 Leaving Jordan
###Chapter 102 Leaving Jordan
Liam ignored her. His pair of black eyes swept on me, curled his eyebrows, and asked me "Want to drink some alcohol together?"
Maisie still wanted to talk. I grabbed her hand, stopped, and looked at Liam. "Fine!"
Holding my skirt and sitting down, the woman in green scarf gracefully put the cocktail glass which had been poured with alcohol in front of us. Smiling, she said, "Please enjoy your drink!"
Not moving, Maisie looked at Liam subtly. Still holding my hand tightly, she said angrily, "Liam, if you have anything to say, just say it right away!"
"Have some drink first!" Liam opened his mouth, with an aura of coolness. His eyes were indifferent and undisturbed.
I didn't touch the glass. I just looked at him and said, "It's getting late. If you have anything to say, please just say it. It's hard to sleep at night if you drink alcohol at this time."
The woman smiled and stayed silent.
Liam raised the corners of his mouth with a little more mockery. "It's rare for you to be so calm. I thought you left the Astley Group company so shamefully that you wouldn't be able to sleep, even if you didn't drink alcohol."
His eyes fell on my belly, and his tone accentuated. "Reckoning the time, you should have been five months pregnant now, and it should be too late to induce labor."
"Liam, you are out of your mind!" Maisie scolded him loudly, and her already frightened face was suddenly filled with hatred.
Liam frowned, a little unhappy. He raised his eyes and glanced at the man in black beside him. "She's too noisy. Just invite this young lady out for some dessert."
The man in black went to Maisie and made a gesture of invitation.
Maisie was frightened and stared at Liam. "What do you want?"
Liam did not answer, just looked at me and said, "Be good, let's talk about how you can go home safely, Ivelle. Your brother just misses you so much. That's all I want to talk about. I don't mean anything else."
Glancing at Maisie, he darkened his eyes. "If you keep fighting, you know, it's hard for me to control my emotions."
This was a threat. A silent threat.
When I looked at Maisie and saw her looking at me with worry on her face, I could not help patting the back of her hand and said, "It's all right. Go and get something to eat and wait for me for a while."
"Ivelle."
What else did Maisie wanted to say? I stopped her and said, "Go ahead, I'm fine!"
Seeing that she said nothing more to say, she glanced at Liam and said angrily, "If you dare to hurt her even for a short while, I will make sure that you pay!"
Liam raised his eyebrows and was silent.
In a moment, Maisie left.
The woman in green gave me a new cup and a different kind of liquor. She looked at me and said, "If Miss Ivelle is afraid of losing sleep, she can drink some Cherry Popper. Don't worry about insomnia. Don't worry about it at all and just enjoy!"
"Thank you!" I said and smiled at her.
Liam looked at her and frowned slightly, as if he was annoyed at her for suddenly approaching me
The woman kept her mouth shut, smiled at me and stayed silent.
Liam drank a few mouthfuls of cocktails and looked at me with his pair of black eyes. "Now that you have left the Astley Family, do you not intend to divorce Jordan?"
He sounded a little funny. I asked him, "Does Liam take care of other people's private lives now?"
He raised his eyebrow. "Is there any need for a distinction between you and me? Ivelle, you know, just leave him, and I will make your life better."
"Do I look like I have a bad life now?" There was a lot of trouble around Astley's family in Hempstead, and I was not surprised that he knew about it.
He put the glass in his hand on the table, and his eyes sank slightly. "Ivelle, you know, I know you better than you. So don't be tough with me. Don't even dare deny that Jordan does not belong to you. Leaving him is the best decision."
"Hey!" I couldn't help laughing. "Are you now joking? Even if I leave the Astley Family, I am still the wife of Jordan! He married me."
"Oh!" He sipped his tea, his eyes fell down then looked at me. His voice was a little strange. "I was surprised that you are so confident. I just came out of the capital yesterday. It was said that his parents have already found a daughter-in-law with a magnificent surname."
At this point, he couldn't help smiling, "I don't know if you still belong to their family now."
Liam deliberately wanted to disgust me, but I just turned a deaf ear to his words and said faintly, "If there's nothing Liam wants to say anymore, I'll just go first."
He sneered and looked at the woman in green scarf beside him and said, "Blair, tell this woman all about the capital!"
I twisted my eyebrow and said impatiently, "No, it's getting late. I should go!"
"Ivelle, you don't have to worry. You're all here. You might as well just listen to my story. Why be in such a hurry?" Blair finally opened her mouth, still with a bit of idleness in her eyes.
It was strange to say that Blair's temperament did not look like it belongs to an ordinary woman.
"Can you just listen to her?" Liam spoke and looked at me while rubbing his chin.
I did not speak, as an act of acquiescence. There were so much stories going around and there was surely no shortage of this one.
Blair smiled, gave me a glass of cocktail, and said, "Sir Liam and I have been in the capital for a few days, but we have heard some news. It's about Mr. Jordan!"
After a pause, she said, "Maybe it's not all true. But you might as well listen to the gossip."
"Thank you," I said as I received the glass. I had already guessed something in my mind.
Counting the time that had passed, Jordan had been in the capital for more than half a month. During this period, I have not received any phone messages. Even from the accident and emergency department, he should have been already out in the past few days.
I knew it was a ridiculous idea. I struggled to figure it out and ended up having no idea.
"The Biden family is a family of three generations of officials and celibates in the capital, so they are also famous in the capital. Andrew Biden was the head of the Biden family. Many years ago, he only fell in love with Erin Wesley, a woman who was not that well-off, so the Biden family did not agree. As a result, Erin left the capital alone with a big belly, and later on, she met someone who tried to deliver her baby. Anyway, she lost her daughter and never found her again. Andrew and Erin were trapped by love all these years. Justin Wesley simply relied on the favor of Chairman Parker. Up to the present, they tried to change her identity and kept her birth hidden. But due to Andrew's love, they soon found out about their lost daughter."
Talking about this, she could not help but look at me, and then glanced at Liam. Liam's eyes looked slightly heavy. He was also very silent.
She continued, "You are also aware that Nicole is their lost daughter. The Biden family in the capital also recognized the identity of Erin Wesley and returned to their original home. The original Nicole Blakely also changed her name to Maureen. I heard that the Biden family doted on this young lady and is going to prepare a grand banquet for her in the middle of next month. Nicole also likes playing the violin. The Biden family found top teachers from all over the world to teach her."
Hearing this, I grew a little impatient. "Miss Blair, please stop. What you are saying to me has little to do with me. I want to know what your purpose is for saying this."
She smiled but said calmly, "Yes, you don't care about someone who you personally don't know, but shouldn't you at least care about your husband?"
I felt funny with what she said, "So I need to know about my own husband from someone else?" I couldn't help sighing. I said, "You two are probably thinking too much. Thank you for your concern for my private life, but my husband, no matter who he is, I think I should at least trust him instead of believing rumors from others."
"Hey!" The cold glass in Jordan's hand was suddenly thrown away and spilt on the table. He continued, "If you really did care about him, you wouldn't have left Jordan with a baby in you. Ivelle in the middle of the night, if you know that you actually don't care about him, for your pride, just divorce Jordan in advance."
