###Chapter 103 Liam Is Everywhere
###Chapter 103 Liam Is Everywhere
"Whether I get divorced or not, and how I want to divorce has nothing to do with you. Liam, I appreciate your attention to me, but I am just associated with you through my other businesses. Please don't participate in my personal matters in the future. For the sake of our relationship as brother and sister, I beg you!"
With that, I got up and said, "Thank you for the drinks. It's getting late. I'm going back first!" Without waiting for him to respond, I went straight out of the private room.
As soon as I went out, I vaguely heard the sound of the glass being smashed inside. I didn't stay any longer. I went straight downstairs and entered the corridor.
Maisie was waiting for me in the coffee shop hall. Seeing me, she got up and walked to my side worried. She asked, "Are you all right?" Did he embarrass you? "
Holding her nervous hand, I shook my head, "No, it's getting late, let's go back!"
She looked up at the second floor in horror. Jordan had come out bleak and stood in the hallway looking at us silently.
She clasped me and nodded, "Okay, let's go home!"
She pulled me out of the coffee shop without looking back.
It was already early morning. We took a simple bath and then we went to bed together. I recently have some inexplicable fear of sleeping alone. Fortunately, there was Maisie to lie with me on bed at night to accompany me in my sleep.
The next day came.
The weather of Greenville was notoriously good. At seven o'clock in the morning, the morning light came in through the cracks of the curtains, making the inside of the room shadowy and bright.
Staring at the ceiling for a while, the cell phone on the nightstand vibrated. I reached out and opened it up. I looked the caller ID for I was familiar with the number.
I couldn't remember who it was for a moment, so I answered the phone and said, "Hello?"
"Where are you?" The voice was a little cold and very familiar. I was stupefied. There was no doubt that it was Brad Silverman. I could not help but ask, "Dr. Silverman?"
He always spoke gently to me. I couldn't help but be surprised why he sounded so cold today.
Without having any meal at all, I listened to the voice on the phone. He was silent for a moment until the voice softened and asked, "Is this Ivelle? Are you with Maisie?"
With my anxiety and fear kicking in, I couldn't help looking around the room carefully. Thankfully, I found that there was no one else around me.
I was still stunned. I spoke to the phone, "Well, how have you been these days?"
Parker said that he had been in the ICU all this time. I thought he should be out by now. When I thought of Jordan, I opened my mouth, but I didn't mention him it at all.
"Well, I've been in the operating room all the time. I carefully told Jordan about you. You don't have to worry about it. I'll go back to Hempstead tomorrow and we'll meet and talk." His voice was so soft that I could tell he was trying to comfort me.
I nodded and said with some relief, "Well, it's all right, but I'm not in Hempstead. It may take a few days before I get there."
"Where are you?" When he opened his mouth, he may have realized that his tone was a little impatient. He paused and asked, "Are you going out for a walk?"
Without thinking much, I said, "I'm in Greenville. Well, it can be regarded as going out for a walk."
Maisie, who was probably awakened by the sound of the phone, turned over and looked at me with a hoarse voice, "Who's calling you this early?"
I whispered, "It's Dr. Silverman. It seems like he's looking for you!" And I handed her the phone.
Her face changed, answered the phone and went to the balcony.
I also got up, looked for my cell phone and glanced at the screen. There was no information. My messenger dialog box for Jordan was still empty.
Suppressing the pain in my heart, I got up and went to the bathroom to wash my face.
When I came out, Maisie looked at me, looking a little pale.
I was stupefied. "What's the matter?"
"Did you tell him that we were in Greenville?"
I nodded, my heart thumped, and opened tentatively, "Your child belongs to Dr. Silverman?"
"No!" She almost blurted out and paused. "I'll wash up first, you clean up, and we'll stay in the countryside for a few days."
Huh?
I was surprised, "Why do we have to go to the countryside when we're already here in Greenville!"
"Jordan should be back at Hempstead now. Why don't you meet him in Hempstead and straighten things out with him already?" She looked very ill and a bit powerless. She said, "Ivelle, I don't want to have anything to do with these people. Now that you've left Jordan, if you don't want to let go of him, you can go back and live a good life with him. But if you can finally leave him, let's go together and stay away from them, okay?"
Was she talking about Jordan and Brad?
Maisie always did things cleanly and neatly. I knew that she never thought twice once she has decided to leave.
I was surprised with her demand. For a moment I was in a mess. Should I go back with Jordan? But I was not willing to get entangled again in the long romantic history between him and Nicole.
But if I completely cut ties with Jordan, I was reluctant to be the only one who would have to raise the child. In my heart, I did not want this child to grow up without fatherly love right from birth.
Seeing me in a daze, she sighed and said helplessly, "Forget it, you'd better go back to Jordan and continue to struggle with his complicated life! Anyway, if you haven't lost your dignity, you won't be even think about returning. "
After getting caught in a quarrel with me, she went into the bathroom, looking a little helpless.
When she came out, she wiped her face, looked at me and asked, "What would you like to eat later?"
"We can go anywhere!" I particularly envied Maisie's decisiveness. At this point, I have never been able to decide for myself, which was extremely inconvenient.
Greenville was indeed a particularly suitable place to live. The pace of life was slow, housing prices were low, the climate was mild, and most of the food was delicious. The beautiful scenery could be seen everywhere, both in the streets and in the suburbs.
There were daffodils and tulips all over the city in spring. Marigold and hibiscus flowers bloom in the summer. Golden maple leaves fall during autumn and snow-heads appear during winter.
No wonder Brad recommended me to live here at first.
Maisie was gluttonous, especially now that she had a baby in her belly. She didn't have to lose weight deliberately, and her reaction to pregnancy was not often. Basically, we just went shopping and eating for two straight days.
After staying in Greenville for a few days, Maisie planned to go to the countryside for a few days, but I didn't want to go with here.
No matter what happened in the future, Jordan and I should always be in good terms.
I bought a ticket back to Hempstead and Maisie bought a ticket to the countryside. After being separated on the high-speed railway station, I got on the bus, found a seat, and sat down by the window.
I remembered when I was very young, I kept humming a song called "Farewell Station" in the alley of Primrose. At that time, I didn't know why so many adults liked this song and why it was so popular.
Now, thinking about it, it was the symbol of their own generation. The Internet was still underdeveloped back then and people used to send one another handwritten letters.
I was distracted badly in this thought until I saw a handsome face from my peripheral vision. I didn't know when Liam sat beside me.
"What a coincidence, Ivelle!"
I turned around and avoided his smile, feeling a little irritated by his presence. He was an active man and it was not difficult for him to sit next to me.
"What do you want, Liam?" I looked very ordinary and mediocre next to him. There was no reason for him to turn back again on me.
He was in no hurry to say a word, so he stared at the scenery outside the window and said slowly, "A sense of belongingness!"
A sense of belongingness?
