###Chapter 524 Divorce Certificate - Part 3
Ivelle Astley continued to say, "In the future, you and I will no longer be associated with each other. I will pay you back 180,000 dollars for ruining your designer suit, but I will not pay you for the moral damages that you have mentioned."
Ivelle pushed Jordan Astley away. Then she took the opportunity to take a bath towel, wrapped it on her body, and tried to get away from him.
Then Ivelle thought to herself, 'What am I afraid of? It's just my bare skin. He had seen it anyway.'
But as she was still deep in her thoughts, she was suddenly held by Jordan and was pushed to the bed. At that moment, the anger that she had been withholding for a long time broke out in an instant.
But without regard to her resistance, Jordan tightly pinned her to the bed. With a low and indifferent voice, Ivelle scornfully told him, "What do you think of me, Jordan? Someone you could easily wield at your own will? What do you want me to do? Do you think you can just force yourself on me just because I have to be you?"
Ivelle was in such pain that she broke out in a cold sweat. She bit her lip and told him, "Jordan, you bastard!"
In a rough voice, Jordan told her, "Am I an asshole? Should a husband and wife be like this? As if it was nothing, you left me again without saying a word! Is that how you want to get rid of me? By vanishing out of thin air without saying anything to me? Ivelle, do you take our marriage certificate too lightly?"
"Jordan, I'm going to sue you."
Because she could no longer tolerate the pain, Ivelle directly cried these words out to him. In addition to the drunkenness she was feeling because of drinking too much wine, the grieve she had been feeling in her heartfelt heavier.
Ivell's voice was hoarse as she cried out, "If you want to destroy me, you can just say so. Why do you have to do this, Jordan? You are asking me what kind of a wife I am for pushing you away. If one day Nicole Blakeley, who only had eyes for you, would take my place, I'm sure it won't feel like I'm a big loss for you. Jordan, you just want to be reconciled."
She cried out these words as her voice choked up. And her words were full of pain.
Suddenly, Jordan stopped in his tracks. His black eyes were like the deep sea that was cold and dark, as he stared at her and said, "So, in your opinion, I had painstakingly taken efforts to find you and cautiously took care of you because I only want to be reconciled?"
When Ivelle saw the pain in his eyes, she bowed her head. She didn't want to see him again.
But Jordan held her chin and forced her to look at him. With firm eyes and a low and introverted voice, Jordan asked Ivelle, "What are you hiding from? All you have to do is tell me honestly. What are you afraid of?"
When Jordan saw that she couldn't answer, he sneered and said, "Why? Are you feeling guilty?"
Ivelle was a little freaked out when she replied, "Jordan, what exactly do you want from me? Don't you really know the reason why I am pushing you away? I could no longer have a baby. And it's all your fault. I longed to be loved by my parents. To tell you honestly, I have always envied other girls who were able to ride on their father's shoulders. Isn't it enough that you have ruined my relationship with my parents?"
Jordan froze. But Ivelle continued to say, "You know that I love you. But what's the point of that now? I could have had children like other women, but because of your selfishness, you let me walk in hell, let me lose a child, and took away my chance to be a mother. You even made it impossible for me to look squarely at my biological parents. You have made us kill each other and become enemies. Now tell me, don't I have enough reasons to push you away?"
Jordan looked at her with his black eyes. Its deepness and coldness were like the ice in December.
Ivelle smiled bitterly and spoke, "Do you think that just because we love and understand each other enough, we could still live peacefully and happily together as a couple? Jordan, have you ever asked yourself if we could really be free from the pain of the past? Because I can't."
The truth was, Ivelle had tried really hard to let go. She had tried to forget all the pain from the past. She even thought that if she became pregnant with another child, all the pain from the past could be buried.
But fate played such a terrible joke on her. Because of what happened to her in the past, she could no longer give birth. And for Ivelle, that would mean a lifetime of emotional agony as the memory of her dead child would haunt her. She would have to bear all the painful events of the past for the rest of her life without any hope for a reprieve.
After all, she was just a human being. She knew that the memories of the past would torture her like hell. And that every time she would see other women happily taking care of their children, the inner resentment in her heart would just overflow and engulf her. She knew that there was no way she could love Jordan calmly again. She would only resent him more as the pain of the past haunted her.
That was why she decided to leave him for good.
After taking some time, Jordan got up, went aside in silence, and picked up his phone to make a call.
Jordan said on the phone, "Felix, send me two sets of clothes." Then he ended the call and went into the bathroom.
It didn't take long before he came out of the bathroom. Soon, someone came and knocked at the door of the room. With a towel tied around his waist, Jordan went to the door.
When he came back, he was holding two bags in his hand. He didn't shy away from Ivelle. He changed his clothes directly in front of Ivelle and dried his hair.
Meanwhile, Ivelle lay on the bed as Jordan stood by the window. With a sense of helplessness, Jordan's voice was low and introverted as he said, "Your clothes are here. From now on, I will no longer haunt you. You are free."
And with that, Jordan put down the bag he was holding and put it on the nightstand. Then he retrieved his cell phone and car keys and turned away.
Suddenly, Ivelle opened her mouth to stop him, "Jordan!"
He stopped but his slender back was stiff. He didn't look back at Ivelle, but answered lightly, "Yes?"
Ivelle exhaled, bit her lip slightly, and said, "If you can, I want us to go to the Civil Affairs Bureau together and get a divorce certificate."
There was a chill in the air. Ivelle saw that his hands on both sides were clenched into fists. He was clenching his hands too hard that veins appeared on the back of his hands.
It took him a long time to reply. Finally, he spits out a word, clean and neat, "Okay."
As Ivelle watched him leave, she just laid in bed with tears running down her cheeks.
Life was long. Somewhere, everything had to start from the beginning before reaching an ending. Ivelle could only hope that life for her wouldn't be too amazing or vigorous that was accompanied by a hot love. She just wanted an ordinary encounter and wanted to walk ordinarily until her old age.
That night was destined to be a sleepless night.
After she had slept in a daze for a few hours, she was woken up by the ringing of her phone.
It was Grace Cross. She told her, "Ivelle, I was so drunk. I've got a bunker on me from last night!"
Ivelle was having a headache so she didn't understand what Grace meant. She asked her, "What does bunker mean?"
Grace explained, "I had sex with William Preston last night. And I think it was a very intense and wild one."
Ivelle was stunned for a moment as she tried to follow her words and asked, "Intense?"
Grace told her matter of factly, "Yes! My clothes had been torn to shreds! The most annoying thing is that he even ripped my new underwear to shreds. Damn him!"
"Is this your first time?"
Grace replied and continued to say, " No! Damn it! I didn't even see him when I got up this morning. I won't let him get away from this!"
