###Chapter 525 Divorce Certificate Part – 4
If Ivelle Astley would be honest, it was actually the first time she had heard of this kind of situation.
She told Grace Cross, "Well, why don't you call him first? William Preston looked more than 30 years old. I'm sure that he would understand the affairs of men and women. He could explain himself."
Grace replied, "Okay, I'll hang up first!" As she said that, there was not a single girl's shyness and uneasiness on her after sleeping.
Grace was about to hang up the phone when she suddenly remembered and asked Ivelle, "By the way, where were you last night? Just now, Linda called me and said she was drunk, too. I don't remember who you left with."
Ivelle pursed her lips. She couldn't help but change the topic and say, "Aren't you knocked out yesterday? How do you know that the man you were with last night was William?"
Grace smiled and replied, "I'm not kidding. I was drunk, but my mind was still clear. When I see a man I like, it's not like me if I don't take the opportunity to sleep with him. Now, back to my question. Who were you with last night?"
Because Ivelle knew there was nothing to hide about this kind of thing, she confessed, "Jordan."
On the other end of the phone, Grace was beaming as she asked, "Damn it. You guys were together last night? How was it? Have you made up?"
Ivelle opened her mouth to reply and sighed, "No. In fact, if nothing major would come up, I may receive our divorce agreement in the next few days. Afterward, I would go back to Hempstead with his hukou book and get the divorce certificate."
Grace was silent for a while on the other end of the phone before she said, "Ivelle, can I seriously ask you why?"
Ivelle smiled, let it go, and said, "A lot of things had happened between us before, and there are so many inexplicable things between us. I can no longer live with him. It was probably fated."
Grace sighed and replied, "Maybe you have already decided about this and made up your mind. And I will support your decision. But Ivelle, I really think that you could only meet a man like Jordan once in a lifetime. And you could only fall in love with someone like him once. I'm afraid that you might regret it in the future that you let him go."
Ivelle nodded and argued, "Maybe what you said might be true. But Grace, I was left with no choice. No matter what I'd do, we've run out of chances. So, I'd better be casual and safe."
Grace mumbled with some regret but didn't say anything else.
Ivelle ended the call. When she looked at the time, it was almost 08:30 in the morning.
She remembered that she still had to go to work. So, she immediately got up to wash, put on clothes, and took a taxi to the company.
When she got to the company gate, she remembered that she had forgotten to bring William his breakfast.
Suddenly, a voice came from behind and said, "Good morning, Ivelle!" It was Grace.
Ivelle was a little shocked and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Grace raised the box of food in her hand and said, "I know you don't have time for my man, so I decided to bring him his breakfast."
Then Grace lowered her voice and whispered, "By the way, how is he?"
Ivelle had a feeling that she would have to eat her own dog food. So, she nodded to her and said, "Okay, you go and see your man. I'm in a hurry. I'll clock in first and contact you at noon."
Then she hurried to the entrance door of the company. After she had finally clocked in, she breathed a sigh of relief and settled down on her desk.
When Linda saw her, Linda handed gave her bread to eat and told her, "It looks like you didn't have time to eat breakfast, so you should have this and eat. Scientifically speaking, studies were claiming that skipping breakfast would make your breath stink. So if I were you, I'd rather eat bread than have a bad breath."
Ivelle thought to herself, 'What?'
Then she replied to Linda, "I have a feeling that making me eat breakfast is not your sole intention for giving me this bread, is it?"
Linda smiled and truthfully said, "Don't think about it. So, how was last night? Did you sleep well?"
Ivelle could tell that there was a bit of ambiguity in Linda's remark.
Ivelle could only guess that Grace had told Linda about her. So, she just shrugged her shoulders and said faintly, "I knew it."
It was inappropriate to chat too much during working hours. Therefore, Ivelle made an appointment to have lunch with her so they could talk about last night.
Ivelle knew she should.
When she got back to the office, she had to take yesterday's document to William for signature. After she was done with sorting the papers, she went directly to William's office.
She knocked several times at the door until she heard the man's low and serious voice that said, "Please come in."
Ivelle opened the door and saw William sitting in front of the computer. He was working as seriously as ever.
As she remembered about Grace, she couldn't help but wonder where he was hurt.
The moment she put the documents in front of him, Ivelle spoke, "Boss William, these documents need your signature."
Then she saw that the box of food brought by Grace earlier was on his table. It seemed that Grace had been in his office.
William gave a hum and looked up at Ivelle with a strange look. He asked her, "What are you looking at?"
For a short while, Ivelle was dumbfounded until she realized that she was staring at him impolitely. She awkwardly said, "Nothing, Sir. I was just going to ask you if you've had breakfast. It seemed that you didn't have the time after what happened last night. "
But William stared at her and it made her panic. Suddenly, he told her, "Are you setting up your boss, Ivelle, and think you good at it?"
Ivelle shook her head and sincerely said, "Boss William, you have to believe me. I really didn't do anything. I didn't even know about what happened last night. As you what you can find out later, I went after Linda after knowing she drank too much. I knew it would be dangerous for her if I let her go by herself."
Then she tentatively asked, "How were you last night?"
He raised his eyes and frowned as he asked, "Is there something I should be worried about?"
Ivelle almost blurted out, "Your body!" She had also almost asked him if he had seen a doctor.
William just gave her an indifferent look and coldly said, "Why? Am I not in good health?"
She thought to herself, 'Uh-huh!'
Soon, there was no way for her to ask any more questions. Ivelle smiled and hid her embarrassment as she said, "You're fine, Boss. You've always been fine."
Ivelle knew she couldn't ask him any more questions. But just as she was about to go, William told her, "People from the Astley Group will come here for a meeting. The meeting was scheduled at 09:30 AM. As the Project Manager, you cannot be late."
She nodded and answered politely. But when she saw him reach for the document and saw his bandaged hand, she was stunned for a moment. She subconsciously asked, "Boss William, what happened with your hand?"
William glanced indifferently at his bandaged hand and said faintly, "I hurt it accidentally last night."
Ivelle silently thought, 'So, that blood is not what I thought it was?'
She was a little embarrassed for a moment. Then she hurried out of the office and called Grace.
As soon as Grace answered her call, she asked her, "What did you do last night? Why did William's hand get hurt?"
Grace sounded a little confused when she replied, "I don't know. I honestly don't remember much. I was surprised when I saw his hand hurt just now. I couldn't remember how I hurt him. All right, I am sleepy. I didn't sleep well last night. I have to sleep first. I'll talk to you in the afternoon. Goodbye."
With that, Grace ended the call.
When Ivelle got back to the office, Linda sent her some documents for a meeting and warned her, "Today is our first meeting with the Astley Group. So, you have to cheer up and don't get off the chain."
Ivelle nodded. Now that she had taken over the project, she should not fish in troubled waters.
After she had read the flow and key points for the meeting, still had enough time for herself.
As soon as she left the office, she originally planned to go directly to the conference room. But on her way, she unexpectedly met William and Linda. Both looked at her and told her, "Let's go downstairs to meet the people from the Astley Group."
She was stunned for a moment. She didn't expect that William would be attending the meeting himself.
