###Chapter 583 Sudden Disaster - Part 2
I hugged her, smiled, and said, "You will have better luck in the future!"
She nodded, looked at me, and said earnestly, "When are you and Jordan going back to the Capital?"
I was stunned and asked, "Why are you asking this all of a sudden?"
"I thought that I should go to the Capital with you. Anyway, I've made up my mind. When you go there, I'll be there. When my grandfather got old, he wanted me to have something to rely on in the future. Jordan Astley can be regarded as my brother. Then you are my sister-in-law, so don't try to distance yourself from me."
I laughed, "Okay. I will not forget our relationship. But Grace, if you go to the Capital with us, Grandpa Dominic would be alone in A City. No one will take care of him. What are you going to do?"
She said, "The Cross family has a housekeeper and a babysitter. Some uncles and aunts can take care of my grandfather. I can always come back to see him."
After a pause, she said, "I've wanted to go to the Capital for a long time. I haven't been there for a long time because of one person. This time, I must go with you."
"You did not go for William Preston, did you?" Preston's headquarters was in the Capital, and it was not unreasonable for her to want to go to the Capital.
She blushed a little and said, "There was a little bit of the reason, but not all of it."
The night was getting dark, and after chatting endlessly for a while, she fell asleep.
The next day, it was foggy and it looked as if it was going to rain.
Grace Cross slept soundly. I got out of bed slowly and went to the balcony. I looked at the scenery outside and confirmed that it was going to rain.
I looked at Grace who was sleeping soundly on the bed, today's weather was indeed a good day for rest.
I walked out of the bedroom with light hands and feet. When I went to the room where Jordan stayed last night, I saw that the door of the room had been opened and the bedding on the bed was neatly folded. He was awake and was not in the room.
When I went downstairs, I saw the babysitter cooking in the kitchen. When she heard the noise, she looked up at me and said, "Miss Astley you're awake. Breakfast is ready. Have a seat and eat first."
I nodded, looked around, and didn't see anyone else. I could not help saying, "Auntie, have you seen Mr. Astley?"
She said with a smile, "Mr. Astley left early this morning. He said that he had something to do in a hurry and that he had to go to the city to deal with it. It was not easy for him to disturb you in the morning, so he just let me give you the message. He also said that you should go home earlier in the evening and have dinner together."
I nodded and said nothing more. The project had been under pressure all the time, and it was estimated that he was also in a hurry.
After breakfast, I went for a walk in the yard and saw the old man digging at a piece of red soil in the yard.
I cannot help but come forward to greet him. "Grandpa, good morning!"
Grandpa Dominic saw me. He stopped what he was doing, looked at me, and said, "Ivelle, you're up. Have you had breakfast yet?"
I nodded and looked at the land in front of me and said, "Grandpa, do you want to plant flowers when you dig this land?"
He smiled and said, "I want to plant some garlic seedlings. Autumn is coming. If I plant some, you can eat them in winter."
When he saw me went out alone, he was stunned and said, "Is that girl Grace still asleep?"
I smiled, "She stayed up late last night. Let her sleep a little longer."
He sighed, "That kid stay up late and stays asleep late."
Although it was a complaint, it was more or less spoiled.
When he returned to the city from Cape Oaks Village, it was already evening. Ivelle stared at Grace at the door of the villa and said she wanted to have dinner together too.
I got into the car and went back to the villa. Jordan said that morning that he would come back for dinner. I thought that it would be better to prepare it myself.
The refrigerator was full of vegetables and meat, and there were ample materials for cooking.
After being busy for a long time, I finally made three dishes and one soup. I looked at my cell phone and called Jordan.
After dialing several times, my call still could not get through. So I couldn't help but sit at the dinner table and just sent him a message.
I looked at the clock and it was almost eight o'clock. I had not heard the sound of the car. So I called him again, but I still could not get through.
After thinking about it a few times, I called Felix Stewart directly, and I got through. "Yes, Ma'am," Felix answered.
"Felix, is Jordan with you?" I asked.
Felix seemed to know that I would ask this question and said, "Boss Jordan Is still in the conference room. I'll tell him to call you back when he comes out."
I nodded and answered, "Okay, thank you." I hung up the phone. I stared at some stupefied food on the table, and could not help sighing.
After waiting for more than an hour on the table with all the dishes, I could not help but pick up my cell phone and call him again.
Suddenly, I finally heard the sound of a car in the yard. I immediately got up and looked at the cold dishes on the table. It was a pity.
But she still raised the corners of her mouth and greeted him with a smile.
However, the person she saw at the door was not Jordan but Felix and thought he was alone.
Looking behind him, I could not see the figure of Jordan. I could not help but say, "Where is Jordan, Felix?"
Felix handed me a delicate box in his hand and said, "Ma'am, Boss Astley had dinner already, so he can't come home for dinner anymore. He asked me to bring this and said it was from the Great Lakes. It tasted fresh and tender. He said that you should try it."
I was stupefied and looked at the package. It was a hairy crab. I couldn't help but ask, "What time will he be coming home?"
Felix shook his head slightly and said, "I'm not sure. Would you like to eat first?"
Well, with this in mind, I picked up the hairy crab and began to find scissors and plates. I then had a nice meal.
Felix hurried out, and I didn't send him either. After eating the hairy crabs, I packed up and went to the study.
There was the sound of a car in the yard and not long after, Felix left. Jordan did not come home that night.
I got up and went to the balcony to see Grace Cross and William Preston coming back next door, and they got out of the car.
Grace looked in my direction, saw me standing on the balcony, and said, "Have you had dinner?"
I nodded. "I just ate. How about you?"
"I just finished eating, and I brought you some dessert. I'll bring it to you later!" She opened her mouth, and William parked the car and handed her the exquisite box he had taken out of the car.
She came towards our house with the box, and I went downstairs to open the door for her.
At the doorway.
She looked at me in a camel coat and said, "Why are you wearing so little when it's so cold?"
I didn't feel very cold so I said, "It's okay. It's not cold."
Taking the dessert handed over from her hand, she couldn't help look at her and said, "Matcha cheese, have you been shopping in Fourth Street?"
She nodded, looked at me, and said, "Try it. William said that there were many chocolate mouse varieties in Madrid, but people in City A may have different tastes, so very few people sell them. Today, I thought you would like it, so I brought it back to you."
I took a bite, and the cheese tasted so sweet that I couldn't help praising it. "It tastes so good! Why don't you try it?"
