###Chapter 613 Who Wants It But Not – Part 7
His handsome brow twisted into some kind of a ball. "Substitute? Of being insincerely polite? Is that what you think of my feelings for you all these years?"
"Isn't it?" Ivelle sneered and her anger was mixed with inexplicable grievances. She continued, "You think I don't know why you followed me again and again and didn't want to let go? It's because I am the daughter of the Biden family and I am the goddaughter of Orion Weld. Because of my various identities, you can have unimpeded access in the capital, even in our locale and abroad. Jordan, why do you have to pretend that you love me under the idea of loving me? What you want, even if we were separated, the Weld family would not put pressure on you. You want Nicole and she was not willing to miss it. Why don't you go to her? Why sneak around and bother me anywhere? I don't care at all!"
"You don't care?" He suddenly smiled until he shuddered coldly. "You don't care? Well, fine if you don't care!"
His bloodthirsty eyes looked at her. He showed nothing but coldness all over his face with fierce anger and unstoppable air-conditioning. His hands clenched into fists on his side. It was clucking in the quiet room, as if in a noisy and suffocating atmosphere.
Ivelle thought Jordan would hit her, but he just clenched his fist and did not move a muscle.
For a long time, he looked at her with indifferent, disappointed, cold expressions. All of his emotions were intertwined and was condensed into a sentence, "Fine!"
He slammed the solid high-end door angrily and the moment he closed it, it felt like there was an earthquake. He made the whole house tremble.
Her night was doomed to sleepless!
......
The next day, because Ivelle had an appointment to go to Cape Oaks Village for inspection that day, even if she did not sleep well the night before, Ivelle got up early and went out.
When the taxi arrived, Director Linda Kent and Aaron Badger came out and she was a little surprised by their presence. Ivelle originally thought that the person in charge of testing this kind of thing would be all right, but Aaron came forward himself.
Seeing Ivelle coming late, Director Kent gossiped but she was not angry with her gesture. This kind of thing itself was also her fault so there would be no need to be angry at all.
"Let's go. Miss Weld is really the wife of the chief executive. With such a high rank, she comes out late and Mr. Astley would lose a lot of money to keep so many people waiting for you. If you really didn't have the ability and heart to take this job, you might as well stay at home and look after your husband and teach your son."
She pursed her lips and ignored Director Kent's words. She took the project indicator book from Timothy Coleman's hand and then looked at Aaron before she said, "Mr. Badger, let's go through it together so that we can have confidence in each other!"
Gu Han nodded and took a faint look at Linda but he did not say anything more. He was silent for a while and looked at Ivelle. He said, "Have you been working a lot lately? Why do you look so stressed?"
She shook her head and smiled. "No, I just didn't sleep well. It's no big deal."
After all, it was the hidden danger of testing engineering safety and this kind of thing involved the roots of several companies, so there could be no room for carelessness. Everyone had gone through the security of several bases from morning to noon. They checked from the start until the end, in order to ensure work efficiency. Basically, three people did it together until noon and all of them were too tired when they sat in the rest area outside the base.
It was just lunchtime, and everyone took a break and then went to eat their meals. Ivelle was too tired to talk. She did not sleep well last night. And she was tossing about for a while but she was a little sleepy.
"Grab something to eat first and take a rest later!" There was a voice in her ear. It was Aaron's. Ivelle looked up and saw him in a black suit with a white lunch box in his hand.
"Your favorite chicken risotto!" He reached out his hand and motioned her to get it.
Ivelle smiled and stretched out her hand to take it. "Mr. Badger really sent charcoal in the snow, and I happen to be hungry." She was opening the lunch box with a smile and she bowed her head to start eating.
He took a seat next to her and said nothing but waited quietly for her to finish her meal. Seeing that Ivelle had almost finished her meal, he said, "There are not many things to do in the afternoon. You may go home earlier and have a good sleep after dinner. Girls don't always stay up late. It's not good for your health, you know."
She sighed when he said it and said, "It's all right and it doesn't matter, anyway!"
He looked sideways at her. "Did you fight with Jordan last night?"
Ivelle sat straight and took the meal away. She was caught off guard then swallowed the food in her mouth and said with a smile, "Just a husband and wife matter. But yeah, we quarrel at the head of the bed and the end of the bed. Everyone is like this and they slowly get used to it, right?"
He said, "Why were you fighting, anyway?"
When the lunch box in her hand was finished, Ivelle looked at him and smiled, "Why are you going to be the director of the Women's Federation?"
He smiled faintly, handed me the water cup in his hand, and said, "If you were in a bad mood, you just asked and then disliked it."
As a result, she took a sip from the cup of water and pursed her lips. She said, "There are only those things between husband and wife that go back and forth. What is there to be curious about? By the way, the Mid-Autumn Festival is coming soon. Don't you plan to go back to the capital?"
He thought for a moment and said, "Well, I may come back!"
Ivelle nodded. Oh, she said a word and she did not want to say anymore.
It probably rained all night last night, so the sun was particularly burning the next day. During the noon break, Aaron originally told her to go to the hotel to have a rest and make up for her sleep but she refused. Ivelle just had her rest during the noon break.
She closed the rest and felt vaguely uncomfortable in her stomach and frowned slightly. When he noticed her movements, he asked, "Are you okay? What's the matter?"
She shook her head and raised her hands to cover her stomach. "It was probably cold yesterday and my stomach was a little uncomfortable."
Aaron frowned. He got up and said, "Come on, I'll take you to the hospital!"
She shook her head thinking that her menstruation period was coming at the end of the month, so it might probably the cause why her stomach was hurt. He grabbed her wrist and was ready to take her to the hospital. Before Ivelle opened her mouth to refuse, the afterlight saw the awn behind her, crumbling. She froze for about a few seconds and suddenly reacted. Something was wrong and she had not opened her mouth. Aaron reacted one step faster than Ivelle did. He pulled her and she was ready to avoid him.
But at this time, Ivelle really had an upset stomach and before she took any step, she broke into a cold sweat. Seeing that that "something" was about to fall down, Ivelle struggled to open Aaron's hand and said, "You go ahead and don't mind me! I'm fine, I promise!"
He frowned and barely thought about it. He came up behind her and held her in his arms. In just a few seconds, all she heard was the sound of heavy objects falling and the groans of Aaron in her ear.
The tremendous pressure fell, and Aaron and Ivelle were crushed to the ground all at once, and suddenly her visions became blurry and were blocked by voidness. Only after she realized that they were crushed to the ground by a sunshade.
Aaron was still closely protecting her. Ivelle did not have time to think about it. She hastened to say, "Aaron, are you hurt?"
He heard a weak voice in her ear that said, "I'm fine, don't worry. They'll come to save us soon. Are you all right?"
