Alpha Benna
I paced around the room, a glass of wine in my left hand and my phone in my right hand.
A soft knock echoed at the door, and I barked to come in. A maid walked in, her head bowed to the floor.
“The guards are laid to rest, Alpha.“ She said that and stood still, waiting for my order to leave.
“Thank you. You can leave,” I said while raising my hand to dismiss her.
She twirled around, her hands gripping both sides of her dress, and walked out of the office.
I shook my head and went to the couch. I turned on the television, turned the volume up to maximum, and switched on the news channel.
“Still no headlines?“ I asked myself in disbelief and scrolled through other channels, but there was nothing.
I unlocked my phone, wanting to call Dr. Kedeva, but he walked into my office instead. “I wasn't expecting you today.“ I said, stood, and shook hands with him.
“I know. Were you calling someone?“ He nodded at my phone screen, where my contact list was flashing out.
“You won't believe it, but I was about to call you.“ I chuckled, placed the phone on the table, and asked him, "A glass of wine or something?“
“Water will do,” he sighed. He took off his jacket and flopped on the couch. I snapped a finger, and a maid walked in. The same one who came to tell me that my guards were now laid to rest.
You must be wondering which guards. Well, they are the same Alpha Maseno sent to me as gifts wrapped up in black sacks and beaten like there was no other day.
Twelve of them died while at the hospital. It's only one of them who survived, but he is in a deep coma right now as I am thinking about him.
I swore to myself that I'd take revenge, and it won't be any other revenge, but with the help of Dr. Kedeva, I'll be wiping out every single person he loves until he's left with no one.
I'm glad Sony is already out of the way. All thanks to Kedeva for giving me his location and volunteering to kill him.
I don't know how he did it, but I care less.
“You zooned out on me again.“ A voice jarred me from my thoughts.
I chuckled and lifted the glass of wine I was holding. ''My apologies, doctor Kedeva.“
“What are you thinking about, Kiara?“ He asked, leaned on the couch, and lifted his leg over the other.
"No." I shook my head in denial and mirrored his sitting position. ''I still can't believe that you helped me get rid of Sony.“
"Ah, that,” he said, piching the bridge of his nose. ''It was a piece of cake. He now thinks it's Kiara who did it."
“Kiara? What does it have to do with her? I thought you said Kiara wasn't there.“ I placed the glass on the table and leaned forward.
“Yeah, that's what all of us were made to think," he mumbled, his lips pressed in displeasure. “Do you recall the day you told me that Maseno might be hiding her somewhere?"
I nodded.
"Well, it's true. When I went to the hospital to check on him, you won't believe who I found there.“ He kept his glass on the table as well.
“Kiara?“ I asked even though I knew the answer.
"Yes, Kiara, and you won't believe something else,” he said, looking me in the eye, disbelief written all over his face.
“She gave him evidence against me." I asked, my voice dropping into a whispher, horror etching on my face.
“Nah, she is too busy to think about that. It's something else.“ He responded.
“What then? Quit beating around the bush and tell me already.“ I sighed, running my fingers through my hair and tapping my legs on the floor.
“She is pregnant.“ He said.
“What?“ I rose from the couch. You are kidding, right?“
“Why would I? Have I ever lied to you, Benna? Well, if you don't believe me, you can wait until your headguard comes out of the hospital and ask him. Before he passed out, he told me that it was Kiara who had hit him like that. The little girl is tough now.“ He smirked.
“So, she's been spreading legs to that son of devil while I have been here, having sleepless nights wrecking the world apart looking for her?“ I asked no one in particular, took the glass from the table, and smashed it on the floor.
“Relax Benna. I haven't told you the juicy thing yet." Doctor Kedeva's voice pulled me back into reality.
“What? She had given birth already." I asked, my eyes widening.
“Nah, she is like three months old now," he smirked.
“So what's the juicy thing?“ I asked, irritation pressing in my voice.
“The juicy thing is the moment I walked into the hospital and saw her there. I lied to Maseno that it was Kiara who sent for Sony to be killed since she wanted him out of her way.“
“And?“ I went back to the couch, flopped beside him, and asked. "And did he believe you?“ I asked again.
“Why wouldn't he? Are you forgetting I am his brother?“ "Of course he did. As we are speaking, Kiara is locked in the dungeon.“ He said.
I knitted my brows, a smile forming on my lips. “She'll now realize that he is not what she thought he was, and she'll come back running to me.“ I smirked.
Doctor Kedeva smacked my head and said, ''Stop being silly,“ then continued, ''Kiara will never come back to you. Maseno wouldn't allow her to step out of the pack with the fact that she is pregnant with him.“
“Why did you tell me then?“ I asked, the smile disappearing from my face.
“Think Benna. Think.“ He poked his index finger on the side of his head, smirked at me, planted a kiss on my lip, and walked out of the office.
After a minute, I yelled, “I get it, Kedeva. Thanks for letting me know.“ I blew a kiss at him.
I pulled out the drawer under my table, took out my favorite phone of hers, and smirked, ''Time to get you back home, Yezus.“
