Kiara
Watching Miss Olivia and Carlos leave, a tear almost slipped out of my eye, but I was quick to wipe it away. That wasn't the time to cry. All I needed was to be strong, not just for me but for the baby, whom I won't have the privilege to call mine when he's born.
I don't know when I fall into slumber, but I would say it was because of the comfy mattress, quilt, and food that helped me slip into that deep slumber.
That was another good thing about Alpha Maseno; although he can sometimes be an asshole, at least he cares for everyone. His dungeons weren't like all others.
Preganant culprits were always provided with comfortable things. Where I was locked in wasn't a dungeon but more of a room.
The only difference was that I wouldn't be seeing anyone unless they sneaked in, and I wouldn't be seeing the light until the day my sentence was over.
Anyway, back to what I was telling you. How I fell asleep is something I have no idea about. It was hours later when I was woken up with a light kick to my leg.
“Who is there?“ I asked, rubbing my eyes, attempting to take the drowsiness away.
You get that feeling when you wake up. All I could see were blurry images. There was a man standing in front of me, though.
I was about to call out Alpha Maseno's name, thinking that it was him, but the person in front of me wasn't as built as him. He was not as tall as him, and he looked ugly. Forgive me, my reader.
“Can I help you?“ I asked, irritation pressing in my voice when the person remained silent. Sure that it was a person I knew who was trying to play hide and seek with me, I ducked my head under the duvet and closed my eyes.
I felt the kick again. Taking the quilt over me, I stood and faced the person. My eyes had now adjusted to my sorroudings; the drowsiness I had left earlier had already gone away.
“Kedeva, can I help you?“ I asked when I saw that the figure belonged to him.
"I never thought I would one day visit you here. Don't get me wrong; I am not here to mock you, but to tell you that I didn't ask Maseno to lock you in here. He did it on his own.“ He said this, trying to sound like a nice person.
“I know that you didn't tell him and that he did all this at his own will.“ I responded, fighting the urge to lash out at him. I know that he is here to mock me anyway.
“Yeah, but what has happened should teach you a lesson. I mean, never talk sh*t about me in front of him. He won't stand it.“ He grinned.
“Thanks for telling me. Can I get back to sleep now?“ I asked, faking a smile at him.
“Not yet,” he responded. ''I brought visitors with me."
“Who?“ I asked, looking over his shoulder to the door.
“Surprise.“ Four masked guys walked in, saying that in unison.
“Kedeva, what have you done? What are you up to?" I asked while walking backwards. My back hit the wall, and I stood, fear gripping me. The men continued to walk closer to me, stepped on my bed, and surrounded me.
“Kiara, it has been a long time,” one of them, who seemed like the leader, said.
I had heard that voice before, but where? It wasn't time to think about that, though; it was time to fight.
“Didn't I tell you that I'd come back for you?“ The person asked again, talking off his mask.
“J-John,” I stammered, and I looked at Kedeva, pleading for help with my eyes.
“He won't help you, Kiara. You know, you were right all along. It was Kedeva who helped me escape when you tied me up. Remember how I got this?“ He turned around, showing a white bandage on his osput.
Of course, I remember that wound. I had hit him there with his pistol.
“Don't you think it's time you take care of the wound?" He smirked, walked closer to me, cupped my cheeks, and made sure to kiss me on the lips. I yanked his hand away, my feet coming into contact with his balls.
“Ouch!“ He groaned, clutching them and bending to ease the pain. I tried to dash out, but the other three held me tightly against the wall. “Don't let her go. It seems like I have been too nice to her," he demanded, standing and gripping my neck.
“Let go!“ I tried to fight him. This time I couldn't lift my leg and kick him one more time because he had my legs pinned against the wall with the remaining three men.
I looked at the door, but Kedeva was nowhere to be seen. Son of a bitch! He sent these men in here and then escaped.
I won't be surprised if he walks in with Alpha Maseno, pretending to be a good guy. I have never seen a lowly man as him, playing two alpha's at the same time.
The game he was playing was dangerous, and I hoped that he would realize his mistake as soon as possible before he came to pay for his sins.
“Stopped fighting, huh?“ John sneered, laughing out loud like a maniac. How I wish I could punch him in the face. I looked at him, a thought crossing my head.
I spat on his face and responded, ''No, I haven't, loser.“ I stressed out the last word, knowing how much he despised being called a loser.
What I didn't know was that calling him that name this time would cause the death of my unborn baby because he didn't get mad like he always does, but he kicked me on my stomach so hard that I felt like dying.
He then let me fall to the ground and turned his back on me. I watched, in blurry images, as he pulled out a phone from his pockets and made a call to someone.
“Alpha Benna, the child is no more.“ He turned to face me, grinned, and let his gaze linger on the red pool forming under my legs.
I don't know what he was told from the other end since I was in so much pain to hear, but he brought the phone closer to me and pressed on the speaker button.
“Yezus, I'll see you at the hospital. I know you miss me, but don't worry, I'll get you there and bring you home.“ Alpha Benna's voice echoed.
John didn't let me respond because he drew the phone away from me and signaled for the other three men to follow him out of the cage-like room.
In almost the same minute, just like I had earlier thought, Doctor Kedeva rushed in, with Maseno, Olivia, and Carlos running behind him. “Oh God, Kiara, what happened to you? Call the ambulance now.“ I heard him faking sympathy and demanding things from the others.
When Maseno came to lift me up, I grabbed his wrist and begged him weakly, ''Don't take me to the hospital, please.“ I wanted to tell him that was Kedeva's way to get me back to Benna.
He knew if he'd sneak those men inside and let them kill my unborn baby, I would have to be hospitalized. He'll then tell Benna which hospital I was in, and he'll get me.
What wrong have I ever done to him to deserve all this?
“Please,” I dug my nails into Alpha Maseno's wrist and begged.
“No Kiara. You will have to. There are doctors there; they'll help you, okay?“ He responded softly.
“No please. He'll kidnap me.“ I wanted to tell him this, but the stars dancing in my eyes were getting dim and darkness was taking over. “Please,” I mindlinked to whoever would hear me.
