Chapter 60: The Mating Time

I went to my father-in-law’s house. He was surprised to see me because I was supposed to enjoy my time with Cameron. For sure, I would have a great time with my husband, but not before I finished the arrangements for tomorrow.

"Father, I want to let you know about my dowry’s sending tomorrow."

My father-in-law creased his forehead. "Your dowry?"

Then I bent forward and whispered, "Anna Warren."

"Ah, yes. So, do you want me to send your dowry to your pack?"

I smiled and shook my head. "No need, Father. Tomorrow, I will ask your Psi, Mimi, to send the dowry to my pack. I have contacted my brother to prepare a suitable place for that."

My father-in-law walked to the door, opened it, and checked outside to ensure no one was nearby. Then, after closing the door, he returned to the couch and touched his chin. "No matter what, Anna is pregnant with my grandpup. Don’t hurt her. Otherwise, I will tell Cameron about it."

I shook my head and smiled. "Of course not, Father. I’m not a beast. But I’ll ensure she's not an obstacle between Cameron and me. I won’t tolerate an affair."

"I agree. If you can persuade her to let go of the pup, it will be better. You can send her away and let Cameron take care of the pup.” He let out a long sigh. “If you are still concerned about Cameron’s mind to divide between you two, you can give the pup to me. I will raise the pup well."

"We will see about it later, Father. But what if she insists on keeping the pup? What will you do?"

"I won’t allow her. If the pup is a boy, he will be the next Alpha. No matter what, we must have the pup."

"But what if the pup is a girl?" I asked.

"If the pup is a girl, she can keep it for herself. We can tell Cameron she has a miscarriage."

I tapped my fingers on the couch. "Father, what if my brother wants to keep Anna as his?"

"Hmm? What do you mean?"

"It seems my brother likes Anna. So I wonder if my brother can keep her there. If the pup is a girl, my brother may acknowledge the pup as his too. I think it’s a good solution."

"I agree. If your brother likes Anna, I don’t mind. It may strengthen our peace treaty, as she is our pack member too." Then my father-in-law smiled. "If your brother wants Anna to be his Luna, it will be wonderful. Everyone will be happy."

I let out a sigh. "I doubt it. Since Anna is only an Omega, my father won’t approve her as our pack’s Luna. Besides, having to raise her pup as my brother’s pup is too much to ask." I shrugged. "The best my brother can offer her may be as her mistress or concubine."

My father-in-law touched his chin. "Hmm … let’s think about it later. Who knows your brother doesn’t want her either?"

"No, my brother has already told me he wants Anna."

"Then as long as he will treat her well, I guess it’s fine."

I nodded and stood. "Yes, Father. I will return to Cameron’s house now. Perhaps Cameron is waiting for me."

My father kissed my cheek. "Enjoy your time, Daughter. I will see you tomorrow. No need to hurry to meet me. If you are too tired, we can have lunch or dinner together tomorrow or the day after tomorrow."

"Yes, Father."

I returned to Cameron’s house. I looked around, but I didn’t see him.

Mimi bowed at me and said, "Alpha is preparing to celebrate tonight with you, Luna. Do you want to have a bath first?"

"Sure!"

After a while, Mimi called me. "Luna, your bath water is ready."

I went to the bathroom and smiled. Mimi threw some rose petals in the bathtub. She was a good maid, as she considered the details well. Then I bathed myself and relaxed in the bathtub. After finishing, I put on black lingerie and sprayed a rose fragrant perfume on my neck and body.

When I sat on the bed, Mimi entered and brought a tray. "Luna, Alpha asked me to give this to you."

"Oh? What is it?"

Mimi showed me the tray, and I smiled as it contained a black blindfold and a glass of drink.

"Alpha Cameron said it’s a special drink for you. He asked you to drink it and to wear the blindfold too."

I nodded. "Okay. Please tell him I’m waiting for him now."

"Yes, Luna."

Before drinking the beverage, I asked again, "Mimi, do you think it’s low level of alcohol or alcohol free? Is it safe for my pup?"

Mimi nodded. "I think so, Luna. Alpha Cameron won’t be careless to give you an alcoholic drink while you have his pup."

"Yes, I believe so. Hurry, Mimi! Tell him to come here quickly."

Mimi grinned and bowed at me. "Yes, Luna, right away."

After Mimi left, I sipped the drink. It was sweet. I liked it. Maybe it was a special drink of the Wild Wolves Pack, because I had never tasted it before in my pack. I would ask Cameron later to see what it was.

Then my eyes were blurry, and I panicked because of that. Did Cameron poison me? What if it was an alcoholic beverage? Would it harm our pup? I touched my stomach, but I didn’t feel any aches. So I took a deep breath.

Cameron wasn’t a bad guy. He wouldn’t hurt me or our pup. I must be relaxed and trust him more. I must be too tired, so my mind started imagining things.

Then I heard the door open. "My mate, you look so beautiful."

"Cameron? What is the drink you sent? After drinking it, my eyes are blurry. I couldn’t see you clearly."

Cameron put the blindfold on me and kissed my cheek. "It’s a refreshing drink. It’s a good one. Why?"

"Are you sure it’s alcohol free? I’m pregnant with our pup. I can’t drink any alcohol."

Cameron kissed my lips. "I know. It’s safe. I promise." Then he kissed my neck. "Remember our mating time? I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to repeat it. That’s why I sent the blindfold. It will help us repeat our last time."

"Sure, Cameron. Whatever you say."

Then we mated, and I forgot everything else but our togetherness.
