Chapter 95: The Mild Green Dress
Before we continued our discussion, Melanie came with eight Mus. They chatted cheerfully along the hall.
When they saw me, they smiled and bowed their heads. “Greetings, mistress.”
I stood and gestured at the couch. “Thank you for coming. Please have a seat.”
Mimi brought some additional chairs from the dining room so all Mus could sit. Mimi then returned to the kitchen again. She returned with a tray of orange juice and sandwiches.
I pointed at the orange juice and sandwiches. “Please enjoy the orange juice and the sandwiches.” I glanced at Mimi. ”Thank you for preparing us for these, Mimi.”
Mimi beamed and smiled. “It’s my pleasure, mistress. You too, please eat more. The pup must be hungry.”
I rubbed my stomach and nodded as Mimi took a small plate of sandwich for me. “Let’s eat together.” So we all ate the sandwiches.
“We want to congratulate you first, mistress,” a Mu said, representing other Mus. “We heard from Melanie you would be our Luna in three days. It’ll be an honor for us to cook the food for the ceremony.”
I nodded and smiled. “Thank you so much. I know you have been working hard a few days ago. Now, we must ask you to do the same. So, please cook food that is easy to prepare.”
One of them shook their head. “Mistress, serve our Alpha and you will be our honor and pride. Considering you are our Alpha’s true mate, we must prepare for the best.”
The rest also supported their friend. “No worries about it, mistress. It’s our daily job. Besides, as it’s a huge event for the pack, we can ask for help from other she-wolves. Like the last time, I believe all she-wolves will be glad to help us.”
“Thank you.”
“Mistress, what meals do you like?” a Mu asked.
“I like all kinds of food. As we will prepare the food for all pack members, maybe choose the food that can be packed in one or two food containers for them to bring home. Vegetable salad, fresh food, and a portion of roasted beef or lamb may be a good option for the whole family to enjoy at home.” I wiped my lips. “If we have the next celebration event, the family can send the food containers they will receive today and get different food. So, if there are any of our pack members who are sick, they can still enjoy the food at home.”
A Mu placed a hand on her chest. “Oh, mistress, you are so thoughtful. I’m so happy you will be our new Luna.”
“True! It’s exciting to prepare the meals for your upcoming event.” However, another Mu frowned. “But we must prepare the food on the spot too, mistress. What should we serve?”
“Probably one-bite size food so all can eat easily at the event. We can prepare pasta and steak too as our main dishes, but also have a lot of fulfilling things like the sandwiches or burgers.” I nodded while thinking. “Probably chicken porridge and corn soup too for our seniors, or for unhealthy pack members who want to attend the event.”
A Mu snapped her fingers. “Very good plan, mistress. We can do it. The ingredients are plenty in our storages. We can prepare from now.”
“Oh, but it’s still three days from now.” I raised an eyebrow. “Can the food still be fresh?”
“Ah, we can prepare the food containers and ensure the ingredients we need will suffice our needs first, mistress. Then, the day before the event, we can start preparing the pasta sauce and the steak. So, we only need to reheat them in the event's morning.”
I nodded. “Wonderful! I will leave all in your capable hands, then. Thank you so much for helping us!”
They stood and bowed at me. I did the same and smiled.
“Mimi, please escort our Mus to the door,” I said to Mimi.
Mimi rushed to guide the Mus as they were busy to discuss any other food they would prepare for my marking ceremony event.
Then I smiled at the Rhos. “Thank you for waiting. So, will you measure me now?”
A Rho nodded. “Yes, mistress, but I wonder something. I hope you won’t be mad at me for asking.”
“Sure. What is it?”
“We made some gowns for Luna Lisa … er … Miss Lisa before. But she only wore one gown. I wonder if you want to have a look at the dress. Who knows if you like one of them?”
I grinned. “Oh, it will be even better if you have already had a ready dress.”
“Let’s go to our building to check those gowns, mistress.”
Melanie accompanied me to the Rhos’ building. It was a medium-size building, but inside, they had so many things stored. A Rho opened a cupboard and pulled a clothes display with several gowns. I immediately saw the pale green dress. It was an elegant dress embroidered with a small butterfly and rose pattern. A silver and soft green lace covered the waist, and they added the tiny diamonds on below part of the gown. The dress had long sleeves from satin. It was indeed a dress fit for a Luna.
I glanced at Melanie. She stared at the same dress as me.
Feeling my stare at her, Melanie grinned. “The mild green dress is like specially made for you, Anna. It’s pretty!”
I nodded and covered my mouth with a hand. “Oh, it’s like a dream come true.”
A Rho took the dress. “Let’s try this one, mistress.”
She helped me to undress. Another Rho handed over a petticoat. Afterward, two Rhos helped me to wear the mild green dress. It fitted me so well. I bit my lips because I was about to cry. It was perfect!
“Oh, mistress, it looks great on you.” A Rho grinned. “Do you want this? We can create a new one for you. We still have plenty of time.”
I shook my head. “No, I have found it. I’m sure it will be my dress for the marking ceremony.” Then, after taking a deep breath to calm myself, I said, “Thank you so much. It’s as if the dress were especially made for me.”
Some Rhos nodded as the dress size also fit well to my body. “Adriana, why don’t you tell our mistress how you created the dress?”
Adriana, the Rho who made the dress, smiled at me shyly. “I’m so happy you like the dress, mistress. I made the gown because I had a dream to create a mild green dress. The design was revealed to me in a dream. When I sewed it, suddenly I heard a voice in my head to create a size 12.”
I wiped my eyes as I couldn’t hold myself not to cry now. “I wear size 12 after my pregnancy.” Sniffing and wiping my eyes, I continued my words, “I believe the Highest One helped you to create this gown. Thank you so much for telling me the story.” Then silently I wept and said my gratitude to the Highest One for His present for me.
