Alpha Magnus' date
Silence fell, and the elder cleared his throat. “Now we are waiting for one more alpha…Alpha Magnus.”
Alpha Magnus? I shook my head, “Don't bother waiting, we all know that man is not going to show up in all of the meetings.”
Suddenly, a loud banging on the door came and it burst open, the wind breezing harshly together with the deep voice of the familiar man.
“Are you talking about me?”
Ah. Of course, there’s no one better in grand welcome other than Alpha Magnus.
Everyone looked at Alpha Magnus in silence, even the elders who were pretending to wait for him just for traditions were too stunned to speak.
It’s not every day this happens to their filthy normal lives.
Being present in this stupid meeting instantly made us the star of the show.
Alpha Magnus’s eyes lingered on me and approached me. He sat in the empty chair beside me.
“It’s good to see you, Alpha Kamilah.” He greeted me. “You surely had seen my note and yet you didn’t wait for me.”
I just raised my eyebrows at him “Why would I wait for you?” I asked challengingly. He’s so clingy, just because he helped me last time.
I turned to the elder, “He’s here now. Shall we begin then?”
The elder nodded, clearing his throat to gather their attention, “Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for attending this meeting and we are complete now for the first time in history. As we are all gathered today, we’ll get to the traditions of reporting about your packs and territorial borders.”
I laid comfortably on the chair, sighing and looking at the elder with a bored expression. Right. Why did I even bother to attend if I knew this was supposed to be this boring?
Where the hell is even Almiro? I thought he attended here for me?
I could feel the hard gaze of Alpha Magnus from beside me but I chose to ignore it, not wanting to waste a single breath. But then, the bastard kept on staring at me with such eyes that it made me turn to him.
“What do you want?” I growled in a low voice.
He winked, and I scoffed, holding his stare as I didn’t even flinch, wanting to show him who’s the boss here.
But the idiot Alpha didn’t back down in their little staring contest. He has this cocky smirk plastered on his face and it took a lot of urge to stop myself from cursing him right then and there.
I have to show him that it doesn't even affect him. No one could. And no one will.
I halted, suddenly remembering my plan. The other reason why I came here.
I stood up, which made the elder stop talking. “Is there something wrong, Alpha Kamilah?”
“Yes, there is.” I blatantly responded. “You see, the reason I came here is to not actively participate in this gathering but the opposite. I want to stop this tradition.”
“Stop?”
“Yes, each of us alphas here holds our packs very dearly and with pride. But this stupid sharing of information is just so boring. How many times a year do you hold this again? I mean I just don't care.”
The elder stood up, approached me, and clenched his teeth, his fangs showing, trying to intimidate Alpha Kamilah with his power. “This is what keeps us in peace from all the other clans, this helps us keep updated to our territories, you can’t just change-“
I put fingers on his lips to shush him. “Oh, I can. I managed to change the history of alpha males, what more to this simple task?”
The elder was stunned at this, and I could see Alpha Magnus raise his hand in the air. “Allow me to speak-“
“No,” I said to him, shutting him down. But he chose to ignore it either way as he stood up and went my way.
He smiled at me, “I completely agree with Alpha Kamilah’s decision. I mean, going here annually is such a hassle.” He then turned to me, “Right Kamilah?”
“No. I don’t want you back me up here.” I said irritably, wanting to mind this alone. “Shut your unwanted ass.”
He gasped, pretending to be hurt, and “Yes, hated female alpha.”
I took a deep breath, not showing how it affects me. Alpha Magnus seemed to enjoy this so much.
He leaned in and whispered to me, his hot breath fanning my face, “We’re practically the same, aren’t we?”
“Enough!” Yelled Druscill, the elder, breathing heavily out of anger, which made us turn our heads at him. “There is no use continuing this meeting with you two fighting here. I’ll get the higher-ups to discuss what you wanted.”
I crossed my arms in front of me, seemingly happy, “Tell them if they don’t give in to my request, then I’ll come barging my own.” I threatened before walking to the door when Alpha Magnus whispered, “Let’s meet outside, I have something to tell you.”
I halted, glancing at Alpha Magnus who was looking discreetly and innocently as if he didn’t utter anything.
I motioned for him to meet him outside later and the bastard just smirked. Rolling my eyes, I went to the door, closed it, and waited. I tapped my foot, glaring at the door and waiting for Alpha Magnus to show up but he was nowhere. Seconds turned to minutes and minutes almost turned to an hour and I sighed walking to the exit when my assistant Louisa came.
She bowed her head, “Is the meeting already over, Alpha Kamilah?”
I shook my head, “I decided to leave the meeting early and was waiting for someone, but let’s go home.”
Louisa nodded, following me we both quickly left and returned to my pack. I instantly went to my office to deal with my paperwork. My sharp senses feel something is not right. I'm not sure what it is but I anxiously looked at the clock and saw two hours had passed.
Just then, my door slammed open and Almiro, my loyal personal guard, came hurrying, panting. His white silver hair fell down to his shoulders and his thick eyebrows were in a furrow.
“What is it, Almiro?” I asked, looking up from my papers. “And where the hell was you earlier?”
“Somewhere…but I have to tell you something urgent.”
“Go on.”
“We have an intruder.”
I raised my eyebrows, “Who?”
“Alpha Magnus.” He replied, “He kept on persisting to see you saying you were asking for him but we kept him in the dungeons.” He reported, not batting an eye.
