Chapter 6 The Father Of that Child
He saw Sophie in the hospital, where her mother did not know the place, and Bert assumed that the woman wanted to abandon the child and refuse to pay the bills.
Bert swallowed his anger, signed the letter of death in the father's name, and paid the medical bill.
Bane woke up after the first thing, is to hurry to the operating room, a past will see a strange man standing in the door of the operating room.
"You, you..."
For some reason, Bane had a sense of familiarity, but he couldn't remember it.
Bert turned, looked at Bane, his face darkened, and he asked directly, "Is Sophie's mother you?"
"Yes, I am. Who is this?"
"What have you been doing?
"I'll..."
"Do you realize that Sophie really needs you right now, and that you're running away from her while she's in the operating room? !"
Bert did not know why he was so angry, but the picture of the little girl alone in the operating room with her mother gone made him very angry.
Bert suddenly put out his hand and waved it at Bane.
Bane's eyes unconsciously closed, his heart filled with fear.
A breeze blew in his ears, and his fist landed on the wall behind Bane.
There was a bang, as if she had been hit in the chest.
"How can a mother like you exist in this world?"
Bert withdrew his hand, the back of which was cut without feeling any pain.
Bane paused to explain, but Bert's cell phone rang in his ear.
Bert's face relented slightly when he saw the name on the screen.
"Myron, what's wrong?"
"Master, come back here as soon as possible. The young master doesn't want to eat. His stomach is sick.
Bert's brow tightened. "I'll be right there!"
After hanging up the phone, Bert said directly to Bane, "You won't have to come in tomorrow, so get the hell out of here, we don't allow people like you at Ron's Group!"
Bane was stunned and said, "No, please don't fire me!"
If this job were gone, Sophie really wouldn't be able to live.
Bert didn't want to get too involved with her, but he was stopped just as he was going.
Bane went over and tugged at the hem of his coat. "Please," he said, "I really can't do without this job. Don't kick me out."
"What you did does not deserve to be forgiven."
Bane tried to explain. "I really didn't leave Sophie because..."
Bert shook off her hand before the words "fainted" could be uttered.
"You should have explained what you said to Sophie, not to me, and look out for yourself!"
Bert did not want to be entangled any longer, and walked quickly away.
Bert was worried about his son, Norton, who, like him, was a very picky eater, so he had trouble with his stomach and refused to take a bite, even when his chest was starving to his back.
In the hospital, Bane knelt on the ground with a pale face. She did not know how long she had been kneeling. Her body was very cold and her tears kept flowing out.
After a long time, the doctor finally came out of the operating room.
"The life is saved, but her condition is not too good, or need to find a match for her bone marrow."
Bane's face turned pale. "Doctor, I've already paid enough for the doctor's bill. Please save Sophie!"
"Huh? The father of the child has just paid the medical bills, but there is no need to pay for a while."
Bane was momentarily stunned.
Sophie's dad?
She suddenly remembered just that man, feeling bad in the heart.
She pulled out her phone and started searching for "Bert Ron." When she saw the result, she froze.
"Burt Rowan, President of the Rowan Group, and the youngest business builder in the Imperial Capital!"
No wonder that man got her into Ron's so easily, he was the president of Ron's Corporation, and now he's going to fire her.
Now Sophie still needed treatment. She could not sell her blood anymore, or she'll risk her life. Sophie still needed her.
Bane's eyes lit up with determination at the thought.
The next day, Burt brought Norton into the office, put him in his office and gave him a computer.
Norton had a talent for computers. He was able to build Ron's firewall at an early age. He was extremely talented.
This pleased Bert so much that he had no intention of having any offspring of his own, as Norton was gifted enough to inherit Ron's group.
But this time, Bane still prepared the box lunch as before, and made a lot of efforts to break up the medicinal materials he kept for a long time, and sprinkled them on the food. Then he went to the company with the box lunch.
But as soon as she entered the company, she felt the office of those strange eyes.
Bane sensed that something was wrong with her since she was released, but he was relieved to be able to continue his work, presumably without the man's orders.
She went to her office and quickly sorted out the documents. She was afraid of losing the job, so she did everything seriously.
But when she handed it in, the guy said, "Do it again!" without looking at it.
Bane gripped the document tightly and said, "Would you mind looking at it first? It's all sorted out, and I've highlighted those."
"Tell you to do again you go, what so much nonsense? Why don't you be the manager?"
Bane knew he couldn't resist, but he wanted to insist: "Please take a look first."
"Bang!"
The manager swung the paper over her, and Bane gasped in pain as a fine cut was made across her face.
"If I tell you to take it back, can't you hear me?"
All the people in the office looked at it, most of them with mockery and funny looks on their faces.
Bane crouched down, slowly picked up the papers, and whispered, "I'll do it again."
"This pile, also take back to redo!"
Next to the pile of papers, she worked overtime at night to do.
It was all right, Bane told himself. It could be worse than that. Anyway, the job couldn't be lost.
Bane took a deep breath, said nothing, nodded and went to the pile of papers.
But before her hands touched the pile of papers, which she had taken so long to put together, they were all scattered on the floor in a jumble.
"What do you want? If you can't do it, you're still getting angry? You think you own the company? Be shameless! These must be put in order today, or you'll never get back!"
Bane's eyes went red and she bit her lip hard. She didn't say a word. She didn't pick up any more papers.
