Chapter 43
Stacey’s POV
.
I was trying hard not to take stress just like everyone wanted, but I couldn’t help myself because, just like Derek had said, the beast would lose free, and he would end up destroying everything. The same was happening, and no one could do a thing.
It was not that we couldn’t defeat him by uniting together, but the problem was that he couldn’t be killed.
I didn’t know what kind of experiment was done on him, but this was not less than a curse for us. And because of all this situation, Derek was working an extra hour. I was not complaining that he wasn’t spending time with me; he was. It was just that he was rarely getting time to take a rest for himself.
Even now. I was rolling on the bed from here and there. I groaned and grabbed the pillow which Derek had used last night. I took a deep breath of his smell and relaxed for a moment. Immediately I winced as I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen.
“What happened, Baby? Are you all right?” I asked, rubbing my belly. I tried to get out of the bed, thinking it was just a regular kick from him. After all, a lift from a baby was also legal, right?
On the top, the delivery date of the little one was after two weeks.
I had hardly taken a step toward the washroom when he kicked again.
“Ahhh…” I whimpered and quickly sat on the bed again for the support. “Sweetheart, don’t hurt your Mommy. Because you are kicking with intense force today.” I tried to cook him, giving him some time to relax in my womb and get rid of the pain, but it was increasing every second for god knows what reason.
“Derek! Scar!” I shouted. I wasn’t sure whether this was the right time, but the pain was too much to handle. In no time, I realized that my assumption was correct when I felt my water bag had just been broken.
“Mom, dad. I’m in labor.”, I yelled to make them realize that I wasn’t shouting for some food. Well, this was natural. I always used to scream and cry whenever I used to eat something, and today, when I was in labor, everyone had taken my yelling as my daily routine to shout for food.
Scarlett was the first who reached near me. “Let me take you to the hospital, Mommy!”, She said and came closer to me to pick me up into her arms.
“Noooo” I yelled. She was kiddo for just two years. Maybe she had supernatural strength, but I couldn’t trust her to carry me. What if..
“Hehe! Just kidding. To cheer you up!”, She joked, and by that time, Derek was already here, all naked. It meant he ran into his wolf form to reach near me. I covered up Scarlett’s eyes.
“Gross! Derek.”, I shouted again. I was never like this before, but I had never been pregnant before.
“I didn’t know she was here.”, He reasoned out and quickly grabbed a short from nearby. And then ran up to me.
He crouched and picked me in his arms in a bridal way.
“Scar, sweetie. My bag!” I said, pointing toward her toward the bag under the desk. I had packed all the necessities for the pup in that bag.
“I can carry this.”, She said proudly, lifting it like it weighs nothing.
“Where are both of our moms and dads?” I screamed again in pain on the way out of the room.
“Did you forget that my parent’s marriage anniversary was yesterday? That’s why we sent them out of the pack to enjoy for two days? And your parents are busy rescuing those werewolves who are suffering because of one mad rouge.”, he grumbled.
Yeah! Right. I forgot that. Immediately something clicked in my mind.
“Is there any extra room or bed in the hospital? Because as far as I know, almost all the hospitals in all the packs are almost full and the number of doctors is too less compared to the number of people getting admitted in the hospital.”
“Please don’t take the stress of that part. Just take a deep breath. In and out. In and Out.”, he said before placing me in the car’s back seat. While he sat in the driver’s seat, Scarlett grabbed the seat beside Derek. “Take a deep breath, darling. We will soon be reaching there.”
But just like I assumed, there was no room or bed in the entire hospital, Not to mention even a shortage of doctors could be seen. Everyone was crying and wailing all over the hospital because their close ones were dead or injured.
They were not our pack members, but Derek had allowed us to access the medical facility to everyone who was not from our pack. Call it blessing or luck, Aaron had not attacked our pack yet. I doubt that it had anything to do with some goodness in him but because of his mate.
Maybe I wasn’t sure about the part.
“Alpha, if you don’t want to mind, we can handle the delivery of the future Alpha with one more patient who is in labor. Because we can see that Luna doesn’t have much time left with her.”, Doctor Nile suggested.
“Will that be fine? I mean, if something goes wrong?”
“Don’t worry. The other delivery is not complicated, so that I can do two deliveries simultaneously. Moreover, the other one is normal delivery, and we would have to go for a C section in case of Luna.”, Doctor Nile ensured.
“It’s a YES, then!” I said instead of Derek. I wouldn’t mind sharing a room with someone else if my pup were safe. “Yes. And That’s final.”, I answered, taking a deep breath and releasing it to calm myself down.
And I was thinking about the C section. That was not a big deal because Alicia could heal me quickly in case of any injury.
“You heard her!” Derek said, on which Doctor Nile nodded his head. When I said YES, I was not expecting to share a room with Megan. Even she was in labor. I had heard about her pack; Aaron almost wiped it. Somehow only a few people managed to escape from that pack. We both gave a weak smile to each other. I never knew that one day I would have to share a room with a woman who snatched my mate from me. I meant ex-mate. But that incident happened for a reason. Why were we together now?

After an hour!!
The room was filled with the wail of a pup. I knew it was Megan because my little one kicked me and ran away to hide inside the womb and wasn’t ready to come out while her pup was here in the world.
“What’s it?” I asked, looking at her beautiful pup.
“It’s a girl.” Megan smiled, looking at her pup, and holding it close to her chest. Since there were two women in the room, their mates were not allowed to walk in to check on each other until the delivery of both the pups was done.
After half an hour more, another wailing sound of pup could be. I was worried for my pup because he decided to say HI to the world two weeks early. I hope he was okay!
“Doctor Nile, is he okay?” I questioned, waiting for him to say something or anything. If there were something wrong with my pup because of my mistake, I had no idea what I would do.
“Yes, Luna! Don’t worry. The alpha heir is perfectly fine.”, He responded, showing me my pub, covered with blood and crying as loud as possible. As if he was mad at everyone for taking him out of his hideout. I forwarded my arms, and Doctor Nile kept him on my chest, and he quickly calmed down.
Aww! He was so cute!
His eye was closed, but I carefully read his facial structure, including his head’s small amount of hair. It looked mini-version of Derek! A smile broke on my lips, releasing he was a part of Derek. However, I wouldn’t have minded if he had been the result of my days with Adams.
Once he calmed down, the nurse took him away from there to clean him. After this news was given to our respective mates, they didn’t waste him running to us.
“Where is our pup?” Derek asked, looking around. Megan already had her pup in her arms while sharing her moment with her mate.
“Nurse took him to clean him up. He will be closing right away.”
“Oh!” Derek tried to hide his disappointment. “How are you feeling now?”
“Better. Alicia didn’t waste a single second and started healing me already.”
“She is so beautiful.”, Scarlett chirped, looking at Megan’s pup. “What’s her name?”, She asked, looking toward her pup.
“Brianna Joy Brown.”, Adams responded, pinching Scarlett’s cheek.
“And there my brother came.”, She jumped and ran toward the nurse, hoping that she would give her brother to her, but she didn’t. Instead, she offered him to Derek’s arms.
“Stacey, he is..”
“Mini version of daddy with your eyes, Mommy.”, Scarlett said, looking at her tiny little brother. Derek smiled, studying the feature of our pup carefully. “Daddy, please him to me for a while. I want to hold him.”, She requested, forwarding her arms.
“Okay! But be careful.”, He muttered and gave our pup into her arms.
“You had said that I would get a chance to name my baby brother. So, I can name him, right?”
“Of course, you can, sweetheart! Do you have any name in your mind?” I asked her, to which she nodded her head happily.
“Nolan. Nolan Bowles Randell”, She said, looking at our little one. “Do you like this name?”, She asked, on which our pup smiled a little just for a second, and then his lips quivered, and in no time, he started crying. “Is the name that bad?”, She asked, looking at us.
“Nope. We loved it. Maybe he started crying because he was hungry. Now, give Nolan to me.”, Derek explained calmly.
“Umm… I’m sorry to interrupt Alpha Derek and Alpha Adams, but we need to get this room ready for other deliveries.”, Doctor Nile said, hesitating a bit but at the same time. I could understand his situation.
“Yeah, sure!” I nodded.
“All this is happening because of that rotten food.”, Derek grumbled in anger and trying to calm down our pup to stop him from crying.
“I wish we could just treat all the injured people all at once or call help for more medical staff or something to help everyone.”, I muttered, taking Nolan in my arms, and in no time, he stopped crying as if he knew that he was in her mother arms now. I asked when I saw Adams helping Megan to leave the bed. “Where are you two going to stay?”
“As for now, I don’t have any idea about it,” Adams said truthfully. “As for now, I will have to check the number of pack members who survived the attack.”
“If you don’t mind, then Megan, Brianna, and you can come with us. The least I can do for you is provide you with one room in the packhouse. Because of the ongoing situation, packhouse is full because many of the relatives of our pack member shifted over here.”, Derek offered.
“That…that will be so kind of you, Derek. And I think there won’t be any problem with one room when we don’t have any place to stay.”
I observed the face of Derek and Adams.
I knew I was missing something. There was no doubt Derek was a good person with a golden heart, but something had changed between Adams and him.
But what?
Did something happen when they were outside waiting for the arrival of their pups?
If not Derek, only one person could answer that question.
My daughter.
Thinking this, I looked around, but she was nowhere near us.
“Derek, where is Scar?” I asked, getting worried.
“Here…What the…”, Even he was shocked to see that she wasn’t there. We looked at Megan and Adams, but they too looked clueless.
Immediately my body started getting cold when I thought of the worst scenario. I would be the biggest fool if I thought that all the werewolves were happy with her addition to the pack. Reason? She didn’t belong here.
Not to forget, here in the hospital, there were pack members of the packs.
Damn it!
I would rip everyone’s head if someone dared to touch my daughter’s hair.
“Let’s find her!! How far can she go?” Adams suggested. Only if he knew that she could go a lot farther than anyone could expect in all this while All four started looking for her in all the hospital direction, my feet immediately halted when I saw something strange.
The injured patient was getting healed too fast, even for werewolves; that was impossible to happen.
‘It’s her.’, Alicia growled, knowing that Scarlett was risking her life to heal them. Immediately I realized that I had said at that time, ‘I wish we could just treat all the injured people all at once or call help for more medical staff or something to help everyone.’

I didn’t mean her to join a suicide mission when I said that. If anything happened to her, I swear I would go in the hell to spank that little devil. The worst part of everything was that I could not catch her smell near the hospital.
‘I’m such a terrible mother, Alicia. I just gave birth to my pup and lost the other.’ I felt like crying, but then it wasn’t the time to cry.
