Chapter 44
Third Person's POV
.
'I wish we could just treat all the injured people at once or call help for more medical staff or something to help everyone.' Scarlett heard her mother speaking and thought of helping everyone with her powers. She knew that her mother would be mad at her after releasing that she used her power and also broke the promise, but at the time, she felt that was the right thing to do because there were so many injured people in the hospital and it hurts to see them in this state.
She was mad at Aaron for being ruthless and cold-hearted.
She was mad at herself for trusting that he wasn't as bad as her parents had told her.
She quickly ran to the place where the central air conditioning was and sighed in relief, knowing what she had to do next. She opened her arms and closed her eyes to concentrate so that she could heal everyone by reaching my powers near everyone by fans and ductwork.
At first, she didn't feel anything, but she started feeling weak after a minute or so. Even at that moment, she didn't stop because she had observed the patient's condition out there was. She was on the verge of collapsing, but she was optimistic that her parents would find her out by smelling her scent.
And just like she had thought, hardly a minute or two, she collapsed on the ground, feeling weak but then again.
She was expecting her parents to find her smelling her scent; little did she know that someone else had already seen her doing all these tricks and was highly impressed by seeing that a kid of two years possessed so much power.
He was never a fan of vampires, and having that little one in the pack was something that he would have to bear because both Alpha and Luna adopted her as their own. He was nothing but just a typical omega who used to work in the hospital, so there was no way he could go against his Alpha or Luna because he didn't stand a chance against them.
But today, he knew that Moon Goddess had blessed him with a chance, a chance to get rid of this leech. Before anyone else would have found her, he quickly reached near the unconscious Scarlett and picked her in her arms; he hid her under the locker which was allotted to him to keep all the necessary things required for cleaning purposes.
The first thing he did was to cover her smell with the disinfect surface cleaner. Once he was confirmed that her smell had been changed, he quickly wiped the floor and the used air freshener in the room to wipe ut her scent. So that no one could ever find out that this leech was even here. And the cheery on the top, there was no CCTV camera of this area not working at all that was the reason he used to hide here to escape from the work. And right now, the work pressure in the hospital was too much for his liking.
'All the members of the pack!', he heard a loud and dominating voice of his Alpha. 'My daughter, Scarlett, whom everyone has seen and also recognizes, is missing from the pack hospital. She is the one because each and everyone are requested to find her as soon as possible, and the person who would bring her back will be rewarded and in case…in case anything will happen to her, then you guys won't need a rouge, but I will personally make you cry and beg to mercy. Transfer this news to each and everyone those who are not from this pack', The Alpha threatened before closing the mind link.
'I know this is nothing but a fake threat.', he assured himself because Alpha Derek was such a kind and soft-hearted person. There was no way he could even torture his own pack members for the girl who was not even his.
But at the same time, he knew that he didn't have much time with him, so he had to shift this leech from here as soon as possible.
He kept waiting for the perfect opportunity to take Scarlett away from the hospital, but things were not as easy as it looked because the security near the hospital and the pack border had been increased compared, and everyone was actively looking for Scarlett.
Andrew had no other option than to take help from other people who hated the vampires as much as he did!!
Just like people used to say, 'Sticks in a bundle can't be broken, but sticks taken singly can be easily broken. The same applies to people.'
Andrew alone could have been caught, but along with his eight friends, he was sure that no one found a thing. Because two of his friends were assigned as a warrior on pack patrol, and with their help, he quickly took her out of the pack by keeping Scarlett's tiny figure in a bag. Once he was out from there, he shifted and grabbed the bag between his teeth, and he started running toward the dispose of this leech.
'Black supernatural market'
Where all kinds of supernatural creatures were bought and sold at a young age, but his wolf halted when he saw the warriors of the pack in that market. It meant Alpha Derek was ready to search for this leech all over the world. Andrew now had no other choice than to kill the girl because this search operation would end only when Alpha Derek would find his daughter dead or alive.
With this thought, he ran deep and deep into the forest to kill her but little did he know the deeper he was going inside the forest, the closer he was getting to that area where he should never have gone.
Once he was sure that no one was aside, he shifted into human form, dropping the bag on the ground. He took out unconscious Scarlett from it. Then a silver dagger from it to stab it right into her heart. Immediately his nose hit the scent of some rotten food smell. His wolf became self-conscious, sensing rouge near it. He looked around and scanned the place to attack that rouge. That's when his eyes landed on Aaron, and he wasn't aware of Aaron's identity because not everyone had seen him. He quickly shifted and attacked Aaron, but in the very next second, Aaron grabbed his wolf with just one hand and broke his neck in the next moment.
He dropped the little piece of shit from his hand and walked down the tiny figure, which looked familiar to him while his wolf had already sensed her.
'What is she doing here?' Dakota, his wolf, asked Aaron, looking at Scarlett. Aaron didn't answer him because he was a person of few words, and on top of that, how could he answer that question when he himself didn't have an answer to this question.
This was the place where he used to stay, in the dark, where even the sunlight couldn't reach during daytime. He fumed in anger when he sensed that someone was at his home without his permission. So, he killed the first uninvited guest and then stared at the second unvisited guest, who was sleeping peacefully. He hadn't forgotten her. She was the first who talked to him at his mate's funeral, 'Hey, don't be sad. Even I'm Scarlett. You can talk to me and share whatever is going on in your mind. I promise that I will hear you out.'
'Don't hurt her, Aaron. She is just a baby. And it looked like she was going to be killed here.', Dakota muttered, looking at the silver dagger near her. 'Do you remember our mate had also mentioned about her a couple of times that this kid used to help her in healing her a little every day?
Aaron didn't repeat anything. He crouched and picked Scarlett in his arms, of course not in a birthday way because she was too small to carry her in that way. He was about to stand when he winced in pain, and he kept his hand on the ground to support his weight.
He had no idea that placing a dhampir's head could be this dangerous because Scarlett bit him near his neck, sucking his blood. He tried to throw her away with focus, but Scarlet's grip around his neck tightened, and she was not ready to leave her food.
Unknowingly, he spanked her little ass hard, making Scarlett look at him, staring at him with golden eyes and blood rolling out of her mouth. In no time, he threw her away, but Scarlett successfully landed on the ground.
Aaron was sure that if this kid were going to attack again, then he wouldn't hesitate to break her neck just like he did to the other uninvited guest. But instead of attacking, Scarlett stared at Aaron for a while, and when her eyes landed on his neck, her eyes softened.
The color of her eyes changed back to blue before speaking, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."
Aaron was out off guarded when he heard that the kid would apologize to him was the last thing in his mind. He waited for a while, more so, not letting his guard down in case she attacked him again, but that never happened.
She looked clueless and looked around, wondering how did she land there?
I touched the blood oozing from my neck.
'There's a problem. I'm not able to heal this injury.', Dakota said, not able to understand how he couldn't heal a minor injury. Not to forget, he was also wondering how long that kid was going to stand because she just had drunk his blood. He remembered that in the last twenty years, whoever had drunk his blood hadn't been able to survive for long.
He tried to heal Aaron but failed miserably.
What was wrong with him? Did his power go now?
"You're not healing.", Scarlett pointed out, on which Aaron growled at her, knowing that she was the reason behind this. Only if her size had been this small would he have dealt with her differently. "I was just pointing out. There is nothing to get mad about.", She mumbled.
Dakota was enjoying someone's company who was talking to him, while Aaron was getting frustrated because he already had to handle a wolf who spoke a lot, and this kid was not helping at all.
"I can heal you.", She said, even though she was still feeling weak. At this moment, she couldn't release her powers through her hand, but she could heal him by touching his wound. She was feeling bad that she was the reason behind that injuries.
But all of a sudden, her vampire sense took control over her when she felt herself near the fresh blood in the vein.
'Let her heal us. Because we are mortal, and if the blood kept oozing out of our body, then it would be hard to get blood for us at this moment. And trust me, I don't want to drink blood like a leech.' Dakota tried to convince Aaron, but he didn't like that idea, and in the very first place, he couldn't understand how the hell he wasn't able to heal, and the kid in front of him was still not dead.
"So, what have you decided?", She asked again. "Is your answer YES?"
Aaron pressed his lips tightly, not wanting to yell at her.
'How much does she speak? Do all the kids speak so much?'
He was thankful that his mate was not like this. Otherwise, he would have hit his head somewhere on the wall every day. She used to understand his silence and stay quiet, but…she was so talkative.
By the way! Why was I even comparing her with my mate?
Because even her name is Scarlett.
"Here, carry me in your arms.", She said, raising her hands toward him. When she didn't receive any response from him, she kept her hand down. "It's fine if you don't want to pick me up. You can kneel down."
Dakota laughed hearing her last two words and admired that kid's courage to ask him to kneel down. This time Aaron couldn't stop himself from opening his mouth.
"Do you even know with whom you are talking?"
She nodded her head before speaking. "The person who broke my trust."
"Excuse me?" Aaron looked at her in surprise, and he was totally out of the words when he heard her. What did he do to break her trust?
"I thought you're not that bad, which you show in front of others, but Mommy and daddy were right about you from the beginning."
"It's not my fault that you thought that I'm not that bad. In real, I'm worst."
"Scarlett didn't use to look at you in that way. She always said so highly of you."
"She used to talk with you about me?"
"Hmm.", She nodded her head. "We became kind of best friends along with time. Just don't lose in that darkness again from where she had brought you. It's fine to avenge the death of your mate. I completely agree with that. Anyone who had loved his or her mate more than his or her life would do the same, but after doing that, you should return back to that light again instead of losing yourself in the darkness."
Aaron didn't have any words again to speak. He just knelt down in front of her and saw Scarlett's hand reaching toward his neck.
"Done.", She muttered in a low tone and started losing her sense again, but before she would have landed on the ground. Aaron held her tiny figure and picked her in his arms in a bridal way because he couldn't trust her. What if she would bit him again?
He didn't waste his time and ran toward the place where she could be safe for now.

"Alpha, there is a rouge at the pack's east border, and he is here with Scarlett.", One of the warriors on the pack border mind linked Derek when he was trying her best to calm down his mate, who was crying and blaming herself for Scarlett's disappearance.
'I'm there in a minute.' Derek's mind linked him back and started leaving.
"What happened? Did you find any lead?" Stacey asked.
"Yes! I will be back soon with our daughter."
"I'm coming with you."
"Stay here with Nolan. I promise I will be back soon.", he said more like ordered sternly, leaving no room for argument.
"Derek…"
"Why don't you prepare something for her? One of her favorite dishes? She might be hungry since she hasn't eaten anything since morning.", He suggested and kissed her lips gently before running out. He shifted and ran toward the east border, and soon Rex recognized the familiar smell. He reached there and turned back to his human form when his eyes landed on his daughter in Aaron's arms.
Aaron walked forward immediately. All the warriors took the attack position.
"Step back. All of you.", Derek ordered and walked toward Aaron on his own to take Scarlett from his arms. There were so many things going on in his mind, but he would ask those questions later, once his daughter would be in his mind.
She smelt like a disinfected surface cleaner, which gave him the idea that someone kidnapped her from the hospital, but how the hell did she go out of the pack, or he should rephrase the sentence that how someone took out of the pack even after this tight security. Once Scarlett was in his arms, he checked on her. She looked almost fine.
"Did you do something with her?" Derek asked, on which Aaron narrowed his eyes but didn't answer him anything.
"Your world can't digest the part that she is different. Keep her with you in the pack, and I doubt she will be able to make it out from the danger again."
"Tha…" Derek didn't get a chance to thank him for what he did today because Aaron had already left from there.
He kissed Scarlett's forehead and took her home, knowing that she needed blood as soon as possible. And after that, he would deal with the people who kidnapped his daughter and only that they even took out of the pack. It meant their intentions were clear. Either to sell his daughter in the Black supernatural market or to kill her.

"How is Scar?" Derek asked when he saw her coming to their room. He didn't want to leave Scarlett in her room alone, but his parents had already announced that they would be sleeping with Scarlett tonight.
"Still sleeping, but Alicia is telling me that she is getting better.", She answered and then looked at him. "By the way, we did right, didn't we?"
"By binding her powers? Yes.", Derek mumbled. He couldn't believe that Scarlett risked her life by saving others. "Along with that, we have also bound all her memories until now. It will be better if she stays somewhere where she won't be treated differently."
"I had never thought that I would have sent her away from us this soon.", Stacey said in a low tone, packing all the things that belonged to Scarlett.
"Neither do I. But today's incident made me realize that no matter how good a person is. If he or she is different, then the people start taking him or her as a threat. And we don't have to go far to see the result of that. That rotten food is a live example of that. Some people are not born villains, but we made the villain and then cried for the HERO to save them. I don't want something similar to happen with Scar."
"Hmm. Dory and Richard will take good care of Scar, right?"
"There is no doubt in it. They broke into happy tears when I asked them if they could keep our Scar with them. I'm sure that the old couple will find a new ray of hope by raising Scarlett. They are moving to another country, so I guess this will be the new beginning for all three of them."
"I want you to stop doing this, but at the same time, I know that this will be the best for Scar."
******
Aaron cut her palm with the same silver dagger which was on the ground, and in no time, it was healed as if that cut was never there before.
'It means my powers are still working, then why does it not work at that moment?' Dakota asked Aaron as if he was a genius. He was equally clueless as much as Dakota was.
But more than that, he was thinking about the conversation that his mate had said once, 'I'm so proud of Aaron. Now, I'm confident that this… rouge… title will soon be removed from your identity because I know even if I leave, we have made a lot of memories together, and that is enough to remind you again and again that whatever you will do, you will do that in a right way no matter how difficult it will be because now you will never return to the darkness again.'
'Really?'
'Really!", Saying this, she pulled him closer to her, kissing his lips, and said, 'I love you between her kiss.
'I love you too.'
Aaron didn't realize when tears skipped from his eyes without his approval, and he couldn't stop himself from crying. This was the first time he was crying after Scarlett's death.
Dakota wanted to say something, but he kept his mouth shut. He thought about that 1-foot size little kid who unknowingly left her mark on Aaron's mind and heart or, say, both of us. He hoped to meet her someday again, and maybe at that time, the situation would be different than this, and maybe at that time, her size would no longer be one foot anymore.
Maybe someday!
