Chapter 147 Faye Dimension
Nikolai
We were running out of time. Today was the last day to get an abortion.
Malone had found a book a week ago that was filled with ways to open a portal to another dimension. It didn't guarantee anything, there was no sure shot way to do that but Ava and him had taken it upon themselves to try out every single method. In the beginning, I helped them out enthusiastically but all I could offer was moral support. Malone told Ava what to do and she did so without any success. And as time went on, my hope diminished. And the more powers Ava used, the weaker she got. Those power suckers inside of her were taking up most of them and to use her own powers, Ava said it felt strenuous. I had a feeling that it had to be because of those spawns of Satan and their dislike towards anyone else who used those powers, even Ava herself.
After these sessions, Ava usually felt extremely tired so she ate something and drank blood before sleeping for a couple of hours in the afternoon and then she continued in the evening. It was excruciating to watch Ava hurt like this.
I looked at her. She had lost weight over all but her cheeks had sunken in considerably today. The glow on her face was gone. She looked tired and worn out.
My eyes slid down to her belly. My baby was in there—no babies. Two. Two of half me and half Ava. Made out of love. There was nothing more I want in the world than to be a father. And when I first realised she was pregnant, for a second—a split second, I was the happiest man in the world but then I remembered that these babies are going to kill my baby, my Ava.
And I love Ava more than anybody else in this entire universe.
As I concentrated on her belly, I heard the heartbeats. My heart squeezed as I heard the soft but firm beats.
How am I supposed to kill them? I felt like the worst person to want my own children dead.
But they will kill Ava if I don't kill them.
I looked at her face. She looks so determined as she listened to whatever Malone was saying. She acted there was nothing wrong in the world, like this was a problem that we would solve easily and everything will be alright. But the fact was, everything was wrong and it broke my heart. How long will she live now? A month? A month and a half?
I'll never be able to see her again. To hold her in my arms again.
Even that thought hurt me too much. No. I can't live without her. I just can't. It will be too painful. I need to find a way. I need to find a way to make sure that she lives. There has to be a way. And I'm going to do everything in my power to find it.
But what if I can't?
I'm not living alone.
My eyes slid down to her belly again.
And then I made a decision. If I find a cure, then I'll be the happiest man in the universe. But if I don't, I will have to kill them. I know she will be mad at me, furious actually. But I had centuries to make it up to her. I'll beg for forgiveness till the day I die. But having her angry at me was better than her not being here at all.
Ava mattered more to me. And she still had a lot to live for. We still had to kill Adrik. We had so much to experience together. She hasn't even begun living her life. She can't die.
And then I finally made my mind. Yes, this was the best plan of action. But I wasn't going to tell her about this. She'd never agree. I know she wanted to have kids. She didn't care about her life. She was selfless like that. And I'm the most selfish bastard to ever walk this planet because I was ready to kill my own kids for my happiness. And I was fine with it. I never claimed to be a good person. I knew I was a monster. And I was fine with Ava seeing who I really am if it meant that she'll not have to close her eyes forever.
Yes. It's decided.
"...you have to truly want it." Malone finished and Ava nodded.
"So basically, I just need to find the strongest faye energy I can find in the universe, that feels like mine and it will be King Faelerns?" Ava asked.
"Yes," Malone looked at the book in his hand and nodded, "and the fact that you have seen him will help. You need to imagine him, his presence and then teleport yourself to that location. I really have a good feeling about this one, Queen Avalyn. If this one doesn't work, I don't know what will." Most of them needed spells and witch power so we had to brainstorm to come up with ways for Ava to use without the spells. This was the first one we came across that didn't need spells.
"Okay," Ava nodded and all of us stood up. Ava extended her hand, I took it and held on tight. The very first thing Malone told us was that there were infinite dimensions in the universe and we could easily get lost. And if we didn't hold on to each other tightly, I could fall off somewhat in the middle and be lost forever. So making sure we stuck together was of utmost importance.
Ava closed her eyes and did her thing. We waited for ten long minutes as she concentrated, and as always, nothing happened. Her expression turned pain, as if it was physically hurting her to use her magic. And then she snapped her eyes open and let out a small breath of relief before falling back on her seat.
"You okay, Love?" I sat back besides her and caressed her back, pissed at those little power suckers.
"Yes, Nikolai," Ava smiled tiredly. She never once complained. Especially not when the reason were those spawns of Satan.
"On to the next then." Malone murmured in disappointment before he began reading the next way. He had almost reached the end of the book. Nothing had worked until now.
Ava leaned against me and I wrapped my arm around her and softly caressed her back. "Do you want to rest for some time?" She really needed rest.
"No. Let's keep going," she replied, disappointment heavy in her voice before she called out, "Eli. Hand."
"Yes, Mistress." Eliyah came forward and extended his hand, in front of her mouth already knowing what Ava meant. Ava bit into his wrist and drank his blood. Eliyah stood motionlessly, as if it wasn't affecting him at all. The only expression on his face was of devotion and worry for Ava.
That gave me an epiphany.
After Ava was done drinking, she healed Eliyah as always before he stepped away.
"Everyone out," I announced.
"I want to keep trying, Nikolai," Ava protested.
"We are going to try again. You and I." I answered. "Everyone else can leave." I announced and the whole entourage of witches who were assisting Malone and helping us, along with the slaves left. I looked at Malone before he too bowed and left, leaving the whole living room balcony to us.
"Why did you ask them to leave?" Ava frowned.
"I have an idea," I said and then there was a knock on the glass that separated the living room and the balcony.
"Come in," I said. Dimitri and Althea walked in.
"We will be taking our leave now," Dimitri told me. I eyed inside the living room and saw a few slaves rolling out their luggage.
"Where are you going?" Ava stood up and looking inside, following my gaze. "Where are they taking all your stuff?"
"We're going to Volk,” Dimitri answered, referring to the new name of Mystic Lupus Ava had suggested in honour of my Mom. "My help is needed there."
"Oh." Ava bit her lip. "When will you be back?"
"I'm not sure. Once everything is in place I suppose." He replied. "A lot needs to be done."
"Right," Ava nodded. I could tell from her expression that she didn't like Dimitri going away indefinitely. Of course she didn't. In the time they had worked together, he had become her closest confidante after me. "I understand. I'm just shocked because it was so sudden."
"Yeah. Something came up." He replied and gave her a small smile, "We came to say goodbye."
"Oh, I'm going to miss you, Dimitri," Ava said and hugged him. The subtle change in Althea's expression told me I was right. And I had made the right decision.
"See you later, brother," I hugged him too, patting his back. "Take care."
"I will," he nodded. Both of us gave Althea a nod and customary smile before the couple left, closing the glass doors behind them.
Ava looked sad and confused. "He was so....sad. And different." Her eyes raised to meet mine and she easily read through me. "You sent him. It was your decision."
I nodded. "Max told me everything. Keeping her here when you're vulnerable is not a good idea. They can come back when she's okay with our family. I'm not putting you at risk. And Volk needs a lot of change. It will be good for them too."
Her hand immediately raised to cover her bump protectively, "yeah, I think that was the best decision. But I just feel so bad for him. It feels like the Dimitri I knew is gone. He's so...different now."
It was true. My brother hasn't been himself since a while. Gone was the kid in the man's body. In place of him, all I saw was a pensive, depressed man who didn't know what do. I had a talk with him. I didn't tell him the real reason, the last thing I wanted was to rift the couple further apart but I gave him a hint about it. I told him it would be best to solve his problems without the interference of anyone else. He knew that Althea and Natalia didn't get along well and it was affecting their relationship as well. He simply clasped my hand and patted my shoulder before thanking me for being the best brother and having his back since he was eight. I told him that I would be there for him come what may and he gave me a smile before he left.
"He's Dimitri," I said. "He'll be back to normal in no time. Better than he ever was."
"You're right." She replied with confidence. "It's Dimitri we're talking about. Now what was it that you wanted to try in private?"
"I was thinking that I could get you into a submissive mindset and then you would be able to focus better." I suggested. Her eyes lit up, liking the idea.
"Do what you need to do." She bit her lip, clearly excited.
I trailed my finger down the side of her face before resting it below her chin. I pushed her face up and gave her a kiss. I took my time to explore her mouth, savouring the taste that was her. And then slowly, the kiss turned frantic. My fingers weaved through her thick hair, pulling and angling her head better. The slow burn we had been feeling, having not been with each other since a long time, consumed us and lit our bodies on fire.
I grabbed her ass and squeezed till she gasped in my mouth. That's when I bit down on her lip and she groaned loudly.
I mould her ass before I picked her up and her legs wrapped themselves around my waist.
"To the bedroom," I ordered and in the blink of an eye, we were in our bedroom.
"Good girl," I groaned before I dropped her on the bed.
Her silver hair splayed on the bed messily. Her lips looked swollen and red, her eyes were hazy with lust and she was breathing hard. She looked beautiful.
She extended her arms, silently asking me to follow her to the bed and to continue what I was going.
"What do you want?" I asked, already knowing this would work.
"You." She rasped. "It's been so long." And then the scent of her wetness hit my nose and I inhaled sharply.
"Tell me exactly what you want me to do. Beg for it." I demanded and blush rose on her cheeks.
"Please, Nik," she whispered, "please. I want you to kiss me. I-" she gulped, "I want you to kiss me all over."
I got on top of her and kissed her soft, full lips before kissing her neck, "You can do better than that, Avalyn. Beg like you mean it." I said before I pulled away from her buttery soft skin and loomed over her.
She let out a soft groan of complain before looking deep into my eyes with her own startling blue ones. "Please Ni—"
I growled before I put my hand her her dress and my fingers touched her drenched panties. She gasped and her back arched off the bed, "fuck."
I trailed patterns lightly over her pussy through the panties and her eyes closed and she moaned louder. "Please!"
"Beg, Avalyn!" I growled in her neck.
"Ni—"
"Nik?" I hissed, nipping her.
"Master," she gasped, correcting herself quickly. "Please, Master. Please fuck me. It's been so long. I ache for you," she ground herself against my hand, "please. Please. Please. Finger me. Eat me out. Do whatever you want," she cried when I pushed away her panties and pressed my finger against her clit. "Please....I need..." she gasped, out of breath as I began rubbing her, "I need... I need," her back arched off the bed.
I captured her mouth with my own, swallowing all her moans. Our tongues met and a current of pleasure passed through me. My throbbing dick desperately needed some relief and for a while, I forgot why I had started this in the first place.
Avalyn was close and if I gave her relief right now, her orgasm will wear her out for the rest of the day. I knew it all too well because me rubbing her clit, eating her out and her sucking my dick all the action we got. I stayed away from anything that required to penetrate her. And even one orgasm tired her out for hours. We didn't have time for getting tired today.
I pulled my hand away and Ava snarled in complaint. I put my finger in my mouth and sucked all of her juices.
"Master please!" She cried out at the loss of my touch. At this moment, her head was filled with only one thing. The need to finish. And once I replace that with me, I'll get exactly what I wanted.
"Avalyn," I called for her attention. "Eyes on me," I ordered in my Master tone and a shiver passed through her body.
The lust filled gaze of her electric blue eyes disappeared and then she saw me. She truly saw me. And then a sense of calmness washed over her.
"Yes, Master." She whispered and a look of devotion and submission filled her eyes.
I rose to my feet and took a few steps back, "stand up."
"Yes, Master," she replied instantly and got to her feet.
"What's your name?" It was a test. The Ava I knew would give me a sassy reply. But submissive Ava would simply answer the question.
"Avalyn Volkov." She sucked in a breath and smiled as if she loved her answer.
"Your full name." I demanded.
"Avalyn Fiyona Alvarez-Volkov." Her smile and her dimples deepened when she spoke the last word. And I realised she loved the last name that she shared with me. My heart melted. Goddess I love this woman so fucking much!
The love and devotion in her eyes was undeniable. And her mind was definitely in full submissive mode right now. Anything I said right now would be law for her. I knew this well.
There was a chance that even if I ordered her to abort right now, she'd agree. I was a selfish bastard but not that selfish. I couldn't take advantage of her like that. I couldn't take away her freedom of choice. The same one I had worked hard on letting her experience.
I extended my hand and automatically she placed her hands in mine, a small smile forming on her face when I curled my fingers and held on tight. "Don't let go, okay?"
"Yes, Master," she replied softly.
"Close your eyes." I ordered and she did.
"Take in a deep breath." She did. "Now breath out," she let the air out softly.
"Good girl. Now do exactly as I say." I said and she replied, "always, Master."
"Feel the golden blood flowing through your veins. Feel the power that your blood has." I said in a soothing voice. "You are faye royalty. You are strong and powerful. Your blood is filled with power. Bring it to the surface," just as I said, I felt a surge of power pass through her veins, simmering below her skin. "Feel this power. Memorise what it feels like." I said and she nodded.
"Good girl." I said and a smile formed on her face. "Now imagine emptiness. And space. Imagine the universe. The vastness of it. The voidness of it yet how it is full of life. Search for a power that feels similar to yours."
"Yes, Master," she whispered and then her eyeballs continuously moved beneath her eyelids like when one would actually search for stuff. I could only imagine what was going through her mind. Maybe she could see the entire universe too.
Seconds turned into minutes which eventually turned into almost an hour. And then the pain on her face became visible. The power she was using was hurting her. And then suddenly her eyes snapped open.
She didn't find it. It was all a waste.
Dammit. I really thought this would work. We were doomed now.
"I found it," she whispered in disbelief. "It worked, Nikolai! It worked!" She jumped onto my arms and kissed me.
Grinning, I kissed her back before picked her up in mirth and twirled her around, "you did it, Love!"
"We did it!" She grinned when I placed her down, her eyes bright.
"Let's go then," I said and she nodded. "I can teleport us there easily now. It's actually not that far away. There are over..." she calculated in her head, "twenty four thousand dimensions between the Jivan dimension and the Faye dimention."
"How many are there in total?" I asked.
"I'm not sure. But the more I looked, the more dimensions I could see. The universe is expanding every second, and every other second, a new dimension is forming. Not all of them have life but some do."
It was scary to think that there was life out there that we had no idea about.
"I think it's time to go, Love." I said, tightening my hold on her.
"Yes," she nodded before closing her eyes again and then I could feel like the world around us were revolving from multiple different axis before we came to a stop.
I opened my eyes and realised that we weren't in our bedroom anymore. We were in a pristine white room with gold detailing.
"You finally found me." I heard a voice. My eyes snapped to the source and located Faelern who sat tall on his throne. "I expected you to get here much sooner than this. Maybe you're not as good of a faye as I thought a royal would be. To each their own, I guess," he said condescendingly.
And that's when I realised. "You knew," I spoke. "When you came to Jivan, you knew Avalyn was pregnant." That's why he had said that he didn't need to kill her, because I had taken care of it.
He cracked a devious smile, "why of course I did."
