CHAPTER 85
Mark's POV
I have been busy in the last few days signing deals and contracts with different kinds of companies, forgetting I have a pregnant woman, I have to give my full attention to.
But I have made a promise to her that once all the deals and contracts are over, I’ll take a break and spend all the time in the world with her and our unborn baby.
“Buddy, what are you lost on? I have been talking to you for a while now.”
“I’m sorry man. The thought of Casabella has been on my mind, bro.”
“I know buddy. It’s hard, right.”
“A lot, Alex. I’m sure she’s thinking I love my business more than her which isn’t the case. I just want to get Betty’s contract deal off my neck and cancel other irrelevant contracts and take a long holiday from work.”
“Then you had better deal with that witch away. I just can’t stand her guts for long.”
“The lawyer is processing the contracts, you know that?”
“I know but I wouldn’t want the last experience I had with her to repeat itself.”
“Come on buddy, you know it was an accident, why bring up the topic again. She didn’t mean to spill the coffee on your groin.” I laughed.
“Well, thank you for still saying it was an accident. I know she did it on purpose to get at me for making her plans to get close to you fail and you should be thanking me instead of siding with her.”
“Let's forget about that, man. Tell me, how should I surprise Casabella?”
“I don’t know. Think of something yourself, I want to get a cup of coffee, do you mind?”
“I will pass but dude, I really can’t think of anything. Help me out, man.”
“Fine! Set a dinner date and buy her a flower and maybe a necklace just like I did for my baby.”
“Do you think she will love it?”
“She will buddy, trust me. That’s what ladies love to get.”
“Okay, thanks, man.”
“No problem. Do you want me to get something else for you?”
“No man, I will be fine.”
“Alright.” He replied and walked out of the office.
I will have Thomas make the dinner arrangement at the penthouse. That way she will get to see the penthouse as our wedding gift for her.
Betty’s POV
I will show that little bitch and her friend who they messed up with. I’ll make sure she pays dearly for embarrassing me that way.
I got the cctv footage of the incident from the mall after threatening to bring them down. I know who I can tell to find them and abduct them. I picked my phone and placed a call over to Fin, Ronald’s left hand man.
“Hello ma’am.”
“Come inside, I want to see you right now.”
“Okay ma’am.” He replied and the call got disconnected.
Few minutes later, a knock came through the door and I told him to come in.
“Yes ma’am. What can I do for you?”
“I want you to find the information of those ladies I told you about from the mall.”
“Okay ma’am. Where is the CCTV footage?”
“It's inside my laptop, have a look at their faces and find everything about them.” I stated, handing my laptop to him.
“I will have a look at them and get back to you.” He replied.
“Good. You can take the time you need.” I uttered and got up from the sofa, heading towards the stairs.
The bitches must pay dearly for humiliating me. They can’t bake their cake and have it.
I was half way on the stairs when Fin stopped me.
“What’s wrong?” I asked, turning around to look at him.
“I know the ladies, ma’am.”
“Good. Find them as soon as possible.”
“There’s a problem ma’am.”
“What’s wrong this time? Is one of them your bitch?”
“Not at all ma’am. The lady who slapped you is the same lady boss is looking for.”
“Really? What did she do to Ronald?”
“She’s the same woman he shot but she survived.”
“Interesting, she really survived Ronald’s bullet.” I scoffed.
“Boss is searching for her and wants her alive.”
“Too bad for him because I saw her first. You mustn’t tell him about her until I am done taking my revenge on her before he can have her.”
“But ma’am, the boss will be very angry once he finds out about it.”
“You wouldn’t dare inform him about her or I’ll wipe out your happy family.”
“Please ma’am, I didn’t mean it that way. I’m really sorry for uttering those words to you.”
“Good. I want you to find her for me along with her friend.”
“Okay ma’am. It will be carried out soon.”
Casabella’s POV
I was sleeping soundly when I felt wet kisses on my forehead, downward to my cheek and finally on my lips knowing it was Mark.
I slowly opened my eyes and found those pairs of almond eyes I have been dying to see all day staring right to my eyes.
“You decided to show up early today.” I yearned softly.
“I’m sorry baby. I know I have not been spending enough time with you but I promise you it will be over soon enough.”
“That’s what I keep hearing from you in the last one week.”
“Trust me baby, this time around I really mean it.” he admitted, caressing my cheek.
“So tell me, what brings you home this early?”
“I came to take you out on a date to spend some quality time with you.”
“Is that so? Where are we going?”
“Come on, it’s a surprise. I brought you a dress to put on.”
“Awww… where is it?” I got up excitedly searching for the dress.
“Calm down, my love.” He chuckled and pulled me back on his body.
“Come on darling, where is it? I want to see it.” I mouthed, caressing his chest.
“Alright, it’s in the wardrobe.” He mentioned as I got off the bed and headed to his wardrobe.
I saw a box wrapped with a ribbon and took it out from the wardrobe.
“Is this it?” I asked, dropping it on the bed beside him.
“Yes my love. It is perfectly made for you.” He commented and I unraveled the ribbon before opening the box.
“OH MY GOD!” I exclaimed and took out the long wine dress designed with diamond stones which was really glittering.
“I told you it was perfectly made for you.” He laughed.
“This is really beautiful. You’re really the best darling.”
“Really? Then come give me a kiss to prove it.” He smirked.
“You know I won’t do that because you know I do.” I smiled and placed the dress back into the box.
“You have to or I will make you do it.” He grinned and got on his feet.
“What are you planning to do?” I furrowed my brows curiously.
“You want to know, right?” He smiled, slowly approaching me as I began to step backwards knowing he’s up to something mischievous.
I kept taking steps backward as he kept coming closer until my back collided with the wardrobe which made him smirk even more.
“You can’t run away from me, baby and you that.” He uttered and placed both his hands on the wardrobe.
“Why do you always beat me at my game?” I murmured, hitting him on the chest.
“That’s because I am the man of your heart. Can I get my kiss now or should I do it myself?”
“Can you wait for a minute, I want to take care of something first.”
“The stuff can wait but my kiss can’t wait.”
“Argh… you’re so annoying sometimes.” I grumbled and kissed him for a short while and pulled away.
“Is that all I could get?” He complained.
“That’s all you will get for being demanding.”
“Then I will show you how demanding I can be.” He smiled and pulled me by the waist before crushing our lips together.

“You look beautiful and hot.” He whispered in my ear which made me smile.
“Thank you my heartthrob. You’re looking so handsome, charming and sweet.”
“Thank you for the compliment, my love. Shall we leave?”
“Sure.” I answered as we walked out of the living room.
After the long drive, we arrived at an elegant penthouse looking stunning and beautiful.
“Where are we darling?” I asked, looking around the penthouse.
“This is one of the wedding gifts I got for you.”
“Are you serious for real?” I stammered.
“Of course. How do you find it?”
“This is so beautiful. I can’t believe you did this for me?” I exclaimed.
“I wanted you to see it a day before our wedding day but I had to show it to you now in order to make things up to you for not spending enough time with you.”
“I love you, darling.” I shut him up with a kiss.
“Whoa baby! You’re really full of wonders, my love.” He chuckled as we pulled away from the kiss.
“And you’re full of surprises.” I replied, laughing as we walked inside the penthouse.
