Fen, a handsome guy that they didn’t know, bailed her out of jail. Turns out that Fen is the son of his father’s friend. Soon enough she met her father. It is revealed that Cloud and Thunder being killed is the reason why her mother died like what happened to Fen mother. The twins kidnapped her to take revenge and that’s what she’s gonna do to them. A taste of their own poison.” Freeda read.
“Can I use this for now?” She asked.
“Used it for what? What are you going to do with it? I’m reading it. “ I told her.
“Well my priorities are more important, Fertine, so I’m reading this alone because I’m so immersed with the story. I mean threesome? Shut up!” She said as she walked away with my book.
I walked out of the office and went downstairs. There I saw Wilder, talking with other girls.
They are having fun, chatting and probably flirting.
That’s what he does best, flirting.
He is so good at it that I became a victim of his sweet, gorgeous smile.
My thoughts fade away when I hear a man screaming, asking for help.
“Oh my!” I screamed as I ran towards the shore.
I was about to take off my clothes and swim to save him but someone is already swimming to do that.
My eyes widened as I saw Wilder carry him and lay him on the sand.
He does CPR on him. And he saved him.
My mouth gaped.
I can’t believe it.
Is he?
Is he a doctor?
“Good thing you are here. Mr. Calazar. I don’t know what I would do if my husband drowned.” The old woman looks at her husband who is still catching his breath.
“What the hell did I tell you? You should never swim far! You are like a child! Good thing a doctor is here or you are dead already!” She said to him
I immediately went inside the hotel when I saw him turn around.
She was fascinated by the metamorphosis she saw as she ran into her old crush. A whirlwind of feelings swept through her as they reconnected. Time had obviously worked its magic on him, transforming him into a magnificent persona. The sheer wonder she felt at that very moment was palpable.
Her gaze followed the lines of his face, which was engraved with a newfound assurance. His previously timid grin had become a ray of light that brightened the room and drew others into its magnetic embrace. The kindness in his eyes reflected his inner journey and revealed the significance of his life’s events.
She was taken aback by his poise and self-assurance as a result of his newfound sense of direction in life. He radiated an understated fortitude that struck a chord with her, a result of the resilience he had developed through time. She was awestruck by the transformation of the shy person she had admired from afar into a powerful force.
His inner growth, which reflected in his words and deeds as well as his outward changes, was what truly captivated her. With his words, he wove a tapestry of profound insight and wisdom that held everyone’s attention. The mysterious figure had transformed into a man who gave hope to others and left an unforgettable impact on the world.
She saw how naturally he struck up conversations with people from various walks of life as she witnessed him interacting with them. His compassion shone through, and others around him felt cared about and understood. It was as if he had discovered the secret of compassion and woven it into the fabric of his own personal development. She was profoundly moved by his capacity to move people and motivate them to make positive changes.
She was so stunned by his story that she couldn’t help but compare it to her own. Even if their lives had taken different turns, the progress and lessons they had shared were evident. She recognized the impact their friendship had on her own development and expressed appreciation for the times they had spent together that had helped them both grow.
In the midst of her shock, a thought dawned on her: their lives were destined to cross for only a brief time. Her admiration for his development did not reawaken a romantic need in her, but rather sparked a fresh awareness of the wonders of transience. She rejoiced in his development while accepting her own, secure in the knowledge that their own paths had led them directly to their ultimate destinations.
Her spirit was full of appreciation and awe as she left. The metamorphosis she had seen in him had reminded her of the boundless potential within every person. She took the story of his development with her as proof that everyone has the potential for tremendous self-transformation and that change is possible.
Damn it!
He is a doctor?!
“Hey Fertine! I—-“ I didn’t let Freeda finish I dragged her with me inside the hotel.
“Hey what’s wrong?” She asked.
“Nothing, what happened to the story? Do you want to tell me?” I asked her so she would talk a lot. I grabbed the book and put it in front of my face, to cover it.
I peeked and saw Wilder getting on the elevator.
Damn it!
Freeda started talking.
“So you remember what happened right?”
“Uh Uh.” I said.
“Years later, she finished a degree and business but that’s not all what she did for the years that passed. She planned to kidnap the twins and made them suffer. In a gala, where the Millers are invited, she presents herself as the Holler’s heiress and everyone couldn’t take their eyes off her, so did the twins. While the party is going her plan is working. As to her disappointment that they didn’t kidnap the twins and only got one of them which is Thunder. She took his watch to show it off to Cloud in his office, because she knew that he would notice his brother’s watch and it worked. She asked him to go to her condo to settle the things between them but she has better plans for him. That night she succeeded in kidnapping Cloud, both of the Miller twins on her palms,” she said.
Shit. I think Wilder actually went with us inside the elevator.
“She confronted her on everything they did to her, as she expected they would act like they didn’t know what she’s talking about. Every word that comes out from their mouth is all lies. But for old times sake, she had a threesome with them. The next day, Addy was shocked to find that the twins escaped, afraid that they would get they’re revenge on her and as to what she expected, they kidnapped her and kept her in the mansion where she once felt like it’s her home. Even though she resisted listening to him, Cloud explained what really happened. When they’re mother is pregnant with their sister, she had an accident which lead to miscarriage, the car that bumps into the car where his mother is in is owned by Addy’s father. Cloud and Thunder are furious that they’re father didn’t do anything because it’s his friend and believe that it’s just an accident but Cloud and Thunder beg to differ, that’s why they look for his daughter and kidnap him to make him feel the pain of losing someone. They don’t have any idea that Addy’s mother died, they have nothing to do with it.”
I try to peek.
My eyes widened with what I saw. Shit. He is close, standing with Freeda.
Hoping without hope that he hadn’t noticed me, my heart pounded as I peeked through the narrow space between the volumes. As I mentally relived the moments leading up to this one, anxiety began to weigh heavy on my shoulders.
Earlier, I had felt an odd pull toward a quiet nook of the room, where I hoped to find some peace and quiet away from the hubbub of the gathering. In this safe haven, I discovered a secret alcove that was completely out of sight. There was a nasty twist in fate that I was completely unaware of.
As I relaxed into the safety of anonymity and became lost in my thoughts, I found my eyes drifting to the door. And there he was, imposing in the thick of the crowd, the one person I’d been trying to avoid. A wave of panic swept over me as though someone had just taken away my safe haven.
My heart was thumping like a drum in my chest as I darted for cover behind the towering pile of books. I felt the flush of shame rising on my cheeks as my thoughts raced in every direction with questions. Had he spotted me before I had a chance to run? Does he know who I am? What if he came over, or worse, told someone else I was here?
I held my breath as the seconds turned into minutes, praying that my disguise would work. I felt a chill run down my spine at every sound, from the squeak of the floors to a far-off conversation. With my nerves in a tangle, I wished I could become invisible and disappear into the stacks of books surrounding me.
My uncertainty grew more pervasive as time went on. Maybe I was too blatant in my attempt to hide, or maybe my anxiousness gave me away in ways that only he could recognize. The terror of being discovered, of coming face to face with an unanticipated adversary, suffocated me.
I was on the verge of making a choice as the minutes ticked past. I debated whether to peek out from behind my wall of books to see if he had noticed my presence, or whether to stay put and pretend I wasn’t there.
But somewhere in the confusion of my mind, a spark of bravery kindled. I had to convince myself that running away was not an option, and that facing my concerns was the only way to find freedom. I took a deep breath and steadied my trembling hands so that I could gently peep out from my hiding place.
And there, much to my relief, my eyes were drawn in a new direction. The man I had been trying to avoid was talking to someone else and seemed oblivious to my presence. I felt a rush of appreciation, tinged with shame for my irrational fears.
My fear subsided as I slowly made my way out of concealment, and I became more focused and ready to take on whatever was ahead of me. What I’ve learned from this is that our worries can cloud our perception of the world at times, and that facing those concerns head-on can be quite freeing.
“Addy found it hard to believe but Cloud’s feelings were too genuine. The story that Fen told him is way different than them, but with Cloud it wasn’t just a story because he had evidence to prove it. The car is really his father’s but he doesn’t believe it. There must be someone behind this all. After they talked, they reconciled and decided to be together again but take things slowly and he respected that. She went back to their house and everyone was worried but she can’t say what happened. She broke off the engagement with Fen and was left shocked. He tried to convince her of the wedding but Addy’s mind had decided so he accepted it. Cloud didn’t waste time and asked for her hand in marriage which she gladly accepted. They planned the wedding quickly so they could be together already. When she thinks that everything is fine, that’s when trouble takes place. Fen kidnapped her a day before her wedding. She was stunned to see herself in someone else’s body, and it turns out Hanna underwent plastic surgery to look like her so she can take her place in the wedding.”
I let Freeda talk. I’m not even listening.
