Vince spent the next few days with Gwen completely enjoying her company and not thinking about doing anything else, he just wished that his sister Jessica would stay far away from him and his mate but unfortunately, he could tell that this time, she might win.

" get a young vampire to keep you company or something, you cannot continue to drag my mate with me. " Vince growls at his sister who glared at him

" actually we are going shopping " Jessica said as she jumps out of her brother reach when he reached for her.

"you are not leaving this compaound with my mate. " Vince roars.

" calm down. " Gwen said behind Vince as she wrapped her hands around his waist and kissed his spinal cord. You cannot cage me Vince. "

" but if you are leaving, I should be by your side. " Vince said as he restrained himself from leaving Gwen touch to go after his sister.

" really, suffocating much. " Gwen asked as she moves to his front, she dressed in a sundress.

"I am not suffocating you. " Vince lied through his teeth because he knew that he was totally suffocating her. He refused to let her out-of his sight since they returned and of he was truthful to himself he would admit it was because he was scared that she was going to disappear.

"really. " Gwen asked with raised eyebrows, she knew that he knows exactly what he is doing.

" who will protect you two when you are out there, need I remind you that you two are the only thing keeping me sane. " Vince said as he looked at his sister and used his eyes to plead to her to reconsider so that he could follow them. If he had knew that they won't stay in the castle he would have tried to fight issue since.

" we know brother. But we need to go out. Here is becoming more suffocating for me. And I am sure that after this shopping trip, you won't allow us to leave again. " Jessica said as she patted his shoulder.

Vince snorted at that, if he had his way. They would never leave his castle. " let me give Matthew a call. I am sure that he can have someone come here with a selection of female clothing "

"no. Don't even do it. " Jessica said with a growl of hers and eyes flashing.

" that defeats the goal for getting some air. Vince, no. " Gwen added.

" you girls keep forgetting that this is not normal times. We are in the middle of attacks, we don't know when the next one will happen. Nothing is wrong if we are on the safe side. "

" and you keep forgetting that I am a primordial. " Jessica said with her eyes flashing. She knew that her brother had 'the mother hen worried a about her chicks' act down to a pat but he forgot that she had fought battles with him and has struggled k through his side. She had tortured other primordials and she has done everything possible to keep her family alive. Gwen was family and she would protect Gwen.

Vince flushed in guilt. Yes, he had been treating his sister as if she was like Gwen, a fledgling . Meanwhile his sister has done a lot of stuff just to keep them alive. " I am sorry but still.. "

" I promise that we will be careful and won't draw unnecessary attention to ourselves. People don't know how we look like so we can blend, right Jessica?. " Gwen said as she soothes Vince.

" right. " Jessica conceded even though she was ready to pick a fight with her brother. He keeps on forgetting that, at times she needs to be free and not caged in. She had allowed her brother to think that she no longer have those wandering urges she still gets.

" Vince, we will take care. I promise. " Gwen said as she waited in batted silence for Vince to make his decision.

" anything that happens, always leave the link open. " Vince gave up as Gwen smiled and rose to her toes to kiss him just as he bend down to reduce the stress on her.

" thank you " Gwen whispered as Jessica drew Gwen out of his hand.

" and Jessica, " Vince called out as Jessica stopped walking " I am sorry undermined you. I will try my best not to do it again"

" okay. " Jessica said with a small smile as she teleported away.

Vince sighs as she reached for his phone. He needed to talk to the other primordials to tell them about Courtney because he suspected that Courtney has not come up for air so she must not have time for telling others.

As Vince left to make his calls, he couldn't shake the strange feeling he had. He just didn't know what it was.
