Chapter 29

"Why are you with him hon?" Asked Kevin with a frown.

They were inside his car as Heather requested. He parked his car at a park. A few people were walking and some were seated on the grass or benches. Though she had her eyes closed, images of Blake kept playing in her mind. He had been really invading her senses since he possessed her body. She leaned on the seat. She didn’t realize that she was crying. She heard Kevin said something under his breath before he pulled her for an embrace. He kissed the top of her head. "Do you love him?" he asked.

She cried louder with his question. Do I? She asked herself. She wasn’t sure but his face, magnificent body and his rough but wonderful lovemaking were always in her mind. And she felt jealous thinking about his past women and especially his ex.

"You shouldn’t be crying if he is good for you." Kevin said.

She put a little distance between them. She looked at his pleasant looking face. He was also good-looking but in a more subtle way. He was gazing at her very pretty features too. He wiped her tears with his thumbs as he holds either side of her face with his hands.

"Do you have a girlfriend?" She asked him out of the blue. She didn’t know why she asked him that question. Well it was maybe because she felt that he was a boyfriend material. Sweet, loving and thoughtful. Unlike Blake who only wanted women for his carnal pleasure to forget his former girlfriend. She erased that thought immediately. She had to try to get him out of her mind and system. She had to agree with Kevin that Blake was not good for her. She really tried to avoid that Casanova but his charm and persuasive ways were too hard for a woman to resist. Even for her unfortunately. But it wasn't not too late.

I have to move on. If he couldn’t get over Kristel I won't waste my time trying to make him see sense. I have to stop hoping that he will treat me differently from his past bed-warmers. She told herself.

All her wishes and dreams for her and Blake instantly vanished. However bitchy Elaine was, maybe she was right. She was not any different from Blake’s women.

Yes you were! A part of her said.

.Well one thing was for sure she won’t beg for his love. She might have wanted to be his real girlfriend but not anymore. She would save herself from a serious heartache. She would forget him and shoo him out of her life. She had to consider what happened at Hector’s bar and what his wife said as signs. She now knew better and it was all for her own good.

"No I don’t. have a girlfriend." Came Kevin's reply while shaking his head from side to side. He was slightly frowning. "Why did you ask?” He straightened his back after adjusting the thermostat of the air conditioner. He lowered the temperature.

She thought that he was probably a bit embarrassed with what she asked him. " I believe you are blushing hon." she joked.

He laughed lightly. "I was taken aback by your question." he said.

She smiled too. “Would you ever date a bad girl?"

He cocked his left brow. "Why are you asking such questions hon?" he asked . He held her chin.

She r ran the tip of her tongue on her upper lip. "Ah…nothing! Forget it." she said shyly before lowering her eyes.

"Is that how you see yourself hon? A bad girl? Is that why you were with a bad boy?" He asked jokingly which made her laughed.

She touched his hand which was holding her chin. "Seriously hon. Answer me please, Will a good boy like you want a bad girl like me? I am scared that no man would want to have a serious relationship with me. Am I a flirt?" she asked.

His brows crossed. " Why do you think so lowly of yourself, hon? You are a beautiful woman. If you made a lot of mistakes in the past the important thing is you are willing to change for the better. You deserve someone who will love you for you." He said before he released her chin. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Come to think of it, now that your hair is shorter, you don’t resemble my sister anymore. So maybe I can court you? That wouldn’t be incest anymore.” He joked.

She slapped his arm playfully. "You don't have to say that just to make me feel better." She laughed lightly.

His expression changed. “What if I am serious?"

That made her think. Kevin was attractive too but could she see him as her prospective steady boyfriend? Actually he was much better than Blake. Kevin wasn’t a womanizer and he had no excess baggage.

"But I don't think it's right if I will use you to forget him." She said.

"It's okay hon We can try. I promise there won't be hard feelings if you still prefer him at the end. But I will do everything so you can forget him. To be honest, I have been attracted to you the first time I saw you but as I said you looked like my sister. But then eventually I told myself, to hell with it! Maybe I just made that as an excuse because I am afraid that I am not your type. You have a very strong personality and you seem to like adventures and excitement. I might bore you to death. I am too lame for you.'" He tried to force a smile.

She was speechless. Kevin could help her change. He could be a good influence to her. And he was the one who offered to help her forget Blake. "Are you sure?" She asked him.

He nodded ."But you have to talk to him first. You don’t want me bleeding to death if he smacked me again.” He said with a bitter smile.

She bit her bottom lip. She was afraid to talk to that pervert face-to-face. Her attraction for him was too strong. She couldn’t trust herself.

"Maybe I will just tell him on the phone." she said.

Kevin sighed. "It's up to you hon. But I need to remind you that I woo the old-fashioned way. I am into giving flowers and chocolates and I like having dates in nature like parks and the seaside. I like to cuddle on the sofa while watching a movie. I don’t like going out at night and bar-hopping. I just went with you last time because I couldn’t say no to you. But we could talk about it. We could probably go once in a while if you really want to. I don't drink a lot of alcohol too. Am I boring you already?" He asked while frowning.

Heather couldn’t help but smile. He was the exact opposite of her bad boy.

He’s not your bad boy! She scolded herself. Blake still belonged to Kristel that was why he didn’t like a serious relationship.

Well, I'll let him be. The best thing to do is try to forget him. She advised herself.

She sighed and wished herself good luck. "No you are not boring me. I 'd like that. Most women want men like you. You are so romantic. "she smiled.

Kevin took her hand in his. "I'm glad to hear that hon." he said.

Then she remembered to ask him something. "Doesn't it bother you that I have been with him already? You saw the box of rubber.”

He just s shrugged his shoulders. "I can't say it doesn't bother me but that’s okay hon. We can't do anything about that anymore." he said while staring at her eyes.

She felt relieved. "But I just want to make one thing clear. You will still woo me though you already call me hon okay?”

He nodded and let out a smile. "Anything you say hon.”

Blake was in a very very bad mood. He had been calling Heather since last night but she wasn’t picking up. He even went to Pauline’s but neither Pauline or Heather's car was there. He even checked several times if she had been to her unit but it seemed that she didn’t. The guard on duty outside the building said he hadn’t seen her. He did push ups twice his usual set. He used all the machines. He was really pissed. He needed to release his anger. He had no clue where Heather was. He would beat up the asshole she was talking on the phone with as what Elaine said. Maybe she was with that trash. He kicked the punching bag with all his force.

Kevin dropped Heather at the latter’s aunt’s house. She decided to stay with her aunt Amor so Blake couldn’t follow her. She stayed the night.

"Aunt Amor, is it really okay if I stay here for a few days?”

Amor nodded but her eyes were full of questions. "Did you and Blate had a fight?”

"Auntie, his name is Blake.” She said with a smile.

Amor raised a brow. “That boyfriend of yours might be very good-looking but he has a lot of tattoos and he looks like a bad boy. Tell me the truth, is he hurting you physically?”

She shook her head. And her aunt nodded.

“That’s good then. Well I have to go somewhere. I will be home soon. Don't let anyone. Take care of the house."

She called Amy to get some of her stuff in her unit. She told her to come between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. She knew Blake leaves for the gym early and usually go home for lunch. While she was alone, she decided to check her phone. Blake had a lot of miscalls. She decided to phone him.

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?" he rasped without even saying hello.

"None of your business! Did you receive my text last night?"

She sensed that he gritted his teeth. "Drop that fucking subject! You know my answer to that!"

"I am serious Blake. I am out! I realized I can’t do it anymore. I don't want to be another Denice or Vanessa. I deserve much more than just your bed partner." she said coldly.

"And what or who the fuck made you realize that you can’t do it anymore? We were okay last night bullshit!."

" Just stop it Blake. It’s over. If a lot of of women are willing to be your sex object then you can have them. At least you tasted me already which what you just wanted. I will repeat it again, I am backing out." She heard him cursed again before she hung up..

She just shook her head and sighed. After a minute she got a text from him. It was in all caps.

YOU KNOW FUCKING WELL THAT I WON'T LET YOU BACK OUT! YOU ARE MINE! MINE!

She just had a shower and she was sat on the sofa when she heard knocks. It must be Amy. Her body wrapped in a white towel, she opened the door only to be shocked. It was Amy on the door but behind her was Blake. His eyes went down from her face to her body which was naked under the towel. She knew she should closed the door but she seemed frozen from surprise.

"Miss Heather I went at 9:30 to your apartment because you said it was safe since Sir Blake is at the gym. But I am thinking if I was lucky or unlucky because he went home early?” Amy’s face was frowning.

Heather shook her head and uttered something inaudible.

"Hello sweetheart .Do you really think that you can hide from me? Tsk..tsk.." he asked with a spine-tingling tone .

He was smiling but it didn’t reach his grayish-blue eyes. She almost groaned in frustration. He considered her as his. She was afraid that she couldn’t escape him.
