Comeback
Blake’s Pov
“Fuck,” I cursed in the hallway in front of Emily’s apartment. Another idiot is shouting to keep my mouth shut.
“Fuck you!” I yell back and laughed at myself. What did I drink, or better yet, what a hell did Vicky give me to swallow?
Emily’s door fly opened and I my god she looks beautiful in her short pyjamas, her perfect body screaming to be touched, and her soft poker lips, well I don’t think that’s poker lips, that’s more angry lips, but still looks like it wants to be kissed.
“What are you doing here? It’s 3 AM.” She folds her arms, looking in control of her emotions. I run my hands through my hair to focus on why I came here. Oh yes, to apologise.
“I’m sorry,” I said with my teeth clenched. Em glared at me and started laughing.
“Why are you laughing?” I asked, annoyed or shocked, fuck what the hell did Vicky give me?
“You seriously think that I would accept your apology while you look like you finished an entire bar by yourself?” I stumbled into her place and nearly knocked her off her feet.
“What the hell, Blake?” She yells.
“I’m sorry,” I laughed. I need to dose off from whatever the fuck I took. If I had to be tested now for drugs, they would sure as hell will be disqualified as a kickboxer and poor Em can never train with me again.
“Can I stay here?” I asked her while she tries to help me to the couch.
“No, you need to sober up and go home.” I glared at her and smiled.
“Why are you smiling?”
“Because you’re becoming stronger.” I grab her hand and pulled her closer, but she’s fighting me off by pulling back.
“Don’t insult me, Blake.”
“I’m not, but I still want to stay here.” Finally, I got a smile back from her and she moved closer.
“I’m tired of the back-and-forth shit with you. You can stay for the night, but you’re sleeping on the couch, or is that unacceptable for a kickboxer?” she asks with much sarcasm in her voice.
“I will sleep wherever I have to, as long as you are here with me.” I grab her and still manage to pull her on top of me, even in my drunken state.
“Why did you treat me so bad this morning?” I rolled my eyes. I didn’t expect the question to come so soon.
“Well, if you’re not going to answer, then I’m going back to bed. There’s a blanket on the couch.” She tried to loosen herself from me, but I hold my grip around her waist.
“I didn’t want to. I’m used to waking up with the girl next to me and when I finished working out, she’s gone. So I panicked. I didn’t know how to treat you. I’m not used to feeling the way I feel about you.” Her eyes soften a little, and I’m not sure if I’m ready for the emotions she’s about to let out.
“Well, I’m not any girl. I told you, I want to train, and you used me.” She replied, and I didn’t expect that. Her eyes were saying something else.
“I didn’t use you. I was just not used to showing anything the next morning.”
“Tell me something? Did it mean anything to you, or was I just another girl you scored with?” She folds her arms again.
“I didn’t score with you. If I score I don’t look the girl in the eyes, my eyes were focused on you the entire time. I told you more than what I was supposed to.” I’m starting to sober up, and it makes me wonder if I should rather just get the fuck out of here and have another drink before I start feeling again.
“Let go of me please,” she asked with a soft voice. I let go of her and she pulled me up from the couch.
“What are you doing?” I asked when she removed her top and my eyes lowered to her laced bra.
“Show me what you wanted to show me this morning.”
“Are you serious now? I’m still drunk.” I admit.
“Good, so I will have the upper hand this time.” She smiled and I couldn’t help but smile back.
“Hit me,” she said, using my own words against me.
“Em!”
“Hit me, Blake, or get out!” she answered sarcastically.
She picked up her fist and swing it, but I grabbed it in time before it connected with my jaw.
“You need a lot more training baby if you want to take me on, even when I’m drunk.” I picked her up and lowered her down to the ground in a jiu-jitsu move.
“Try to get out, Emily.” I kissed her on her cheek.
“I don’t know-how, and you’re kissing me. How do you want me to concentrate while you kiss me?” her voice is soft and her breathing is picking up with a massive speed.
“You get out of it, by showing no emotion, doesn’t matter if someone has a grip on you, or kisses you, you can get out of the situation by showing no emotion. Breathe and don’t concentrate on me kissing you.” My emotions took over, the one thing I’m trying to teach her is busy taking me over. I kissed her on the neck and her body started to shiver.
She stared at me with her beautiful eyes and in seconds; she turned me around, sitting on top of me. Her smile is as big as her heart, and I chuckle at being defeated by her technique, making me weak.
“I told you I would have the upper hand. Can we please go to bed now?” she smiled and pulled me up from the floor.
“Only if I can sleep next to you?”
“Only if you promise not to be a jerk tomorrow?” I grinned and nodded.
“I promise.”
