The next day, as agreed, Hook left with Jack , Runner and a few more male hybrids for the task force headquarters where they would find Brenner Smith and Travis Bummer . They said that every man who had knowledge and was there on the day of the operation would be there.
When they arrived they were greeted by the two men with worried looks.
- Hello, how are you? Brenner and Travis Bummer greeted them .
Hook just sat silently watching Jack and Runner talking to the men.
"Come on, this way." Let's call one at a time inside the room and you do what you have to do. I have already placed a team of mine that is extremely reliable to watch over the place in case of a possible problem.

Jack looked at Runner who nodded.

Brenner and Travis Bummer grudgingly left along with the other hybrid males in the room.
Hook smiled coldly at Johnny and tightened his grip on the collar of his shirt.
- Help! the man screamed in terror.

“Someone betrayed us. It was someone who was on the day of the operation and knew where we would be. Someone caught me and of all you were the only one who recognized me.
Blood drained from the man's face.
"Do I have to threaten him with death?" Hook laughed. I will make you agonize, beg to die but I will not kill you. Unless you tell me who you work for? Fucking traitor!
- I do not know anything. - Johnny's voice came out shaky.
“Yes, of course you do… And you're going to tell me, or…” Hook gripped the man's throat hard until he gagged and then let go.

The man's screams hardened Hook's heart the more, the more anger he felt.

He screamed, a loud, shrill sound, tears starting to well up in his eyes.

He screamed loudly, terrified and his face was in pure terror.

Hook shoved the man against the wall, cracking his ribs. Jhonny screamed and cried, Hook felt no remorse and threw the man hard to the ground.
He jumped on top of him and grabbed his neck, knocking him out of breath until the human's eyes widened.

"You can't kill him!" We need more information. Runner spoke authoritatively.
“I wasn't going to kill him. It was a warning of what will happen if he doesn't cooperate from now on.
“Let's put him in a cell. - Travis Bummer said lifting Jhonny from the ground who looked stunned.
“I need to know when was the last time you had contact with Markus. Hook said angrily.
His thought went to Abbie, she said she had run over the man along with her brother. But he doubted that would have killed them. Worry washed over him, Abbie was gone, she was out there unprotected and this man could hurt her again if he found her. The thought made him uneasy and troubled. I shouldn't have let her go.
The man thought to hesitate and Hook started to approach him, but quickly began to speak.
- Two days ago. He said that the hybrid captured by the information I gave, had escaped and that he needed me to pass on the location of another mission.
“What else do you know? Jack asked snarling .

“We'll try to trace the connection with him when he gets back in touch. Brenner said .
“I need a team to go after one person. Hook spoke suddenly.

- Yea. By coincidence she told me about this man and if he's out there she's in danger. She was running away from him when I jumped in front of the car.

Brenner muttered something to Jack and they both left the room, along with Travis Bummer carrying Johnny in handcuffs. Only Hook and Runner remained . His thoughts lingered on Abbie, he would take her back to HybridFalls where she would be safe, then when he got Markus Mason, if it was the same man, he would make him pay for both of them.
