HYBRID HOOK 22
Hook had his security team prepared to go get Abbie after he returned to HybridFalls , but he didn't have her address, so he didn't know how to find her. He was frustrated wearing his uniform while standing next to the black SUV.
"You regretted letting her go, didn't you?" Blade said. So would he, he worried about Abbie and Hook trusted him.
Hook growled and before he could respond, Blade's cell phone rang, he picked it up and his expression tightened, after a few seconds he hung up.
“Breeze said Abbie called her for help, said her brother found her and texted her where she is. Here. he showed Hook.
The male's knees almost gave way, a sensation he had never felt before.
— This address is more than forty minutes from here, we need a helicopter, it will be faster. he hissed.
“I'll call security and ask if they have any available. — Blade quickly dialed security, asked and hung up after a few seconds — They were prepared to fly to the domain but they can wait, we're going to the helipad.
Hook and Blade got into the SUV along with five more chosen males who were standing nearby waiting to be called. Hook was behind the wheel and drove so fast that in two minutes they were on the other side of HybridFalls in sight of the helicopter.
He was airborne to everything, Blade talked to the people near the helicopter and they were up in a minute. They were well equipped with guns and grenades, wearing vests and helmets.
“Breeze sent another message saying he's been talking to her. You're telling lies to your brother Adam, that we'll help you and him too, but you're just buying time. Smart female. he said, taking off.
Hook just grunted. Abbie was in trouble and somehow felt guilty if he hadn't let her go now she would be safe. He was furious and just wanted to crush some damn human.
"How many minutes will we get there?" Hook questioned.
"I intend to go as fast as I can." Ten to fifteen minutes. Blade replied from the pilot's chair.
The minutes passed like hours, Hook was in agony and all he wanted was to have Abbie in his sights and know she was all right. He didn't even want to admit to himself that he was afraid something was going to happen to the little female.
“We're here. I'll find a good place to land. Blade informed.
??
"They should be getting there by now, Abbie. Rest assured we'll welcome you all to HybridFalls and keep you safe." Breeze stated.
"Do you believe me now?" We've been saying the same thing to you for ten minutes now. Abbie said and glanced quickly at Megan who was silently sitting next to her.
“I still have my doubts. Here's what I'm going to do, when these people arrive I'm going to want proof of trust.
Fuck you asshole! You deserve nothing more than a shot in the balls, you asshole! It's all wrong and you still think you have the right to demand something? Abbie spoke in thought.
She was furious with Adam's bluntness in wanting to demand something.
- What kind? she asked, trying to sound calm.
“I taped explosives to the walls outside before I knocked on the door, I have a little control on me that if I press it, I blow up this whole house. If there's a problem, we'll all burn to death, don't make a fool of me Abigail.
Abbie shuddered, she started to want to cry with fear, Adam was crazy and every second just confirmed more that he was capable of anything to save his own skin. Even taking his own life just to kill other people.
- He is well. Abbie's voice came out shaky.
“No need for that, Adam. We will help you. Breeze's voice sounded strained on the other end of the line.
“Shut up! - he exclaimed - I'll make sure I'm safe and just like that, I hand over control to them and you can leave the house.
Soon they heard the noise of a helicopter approaching, her heart sped up, she closed her eyes and tears threatened to fall, however she couldn't cry, she needed to be strong. I was very afraid of how things would go in the next few moments and I just prayed that everything would work out.
Blade landed the helicopter in Megan's backyard. Hook came down quickly with his weapon at the ready, the other males as well, he signaled for them to surround the house.
“Remember, her brother thinks we're going to help him too. Blade warned and Hook nodded.
“We'll make him believe so, and then we'll pin the bastard down. he said and walked to the front door.
Blade rushed over and tapped twice.
“Abbie, we're here. We come? Hook spoke first.
Abbie almost fainted when she recognized Hook's voice. He came... Her heart slammed so hard in her chest that she thought she was going to be sick.
“Adam? - she said looking at her brother.
"I'll go first." Come on, open the door. He pointed the gun at Megan to open it and so she did.
Adam saw two large male Hybrids standing outside dressed all in black, bulletproof vests and helmets covering their faces.
"You can put the gun down." “It's okay,” Blade said. “It's okay.
Adam hesitated, looked at Abbie, and suddenly burst out laughing like a hysterical madman.
“This is too good to be true. You won't even just help me. No, no, no. I can't be such an idiot as to believe that. - Adam said hysterically - Get behind me!
Abbie started to shake, Megan grabbed her hand which was also shaking and looked at her fearfully as they complied.
Hook wasted no time when he used his training tactics to disarm Adam, he smacked his hand away and drew the gun in a matter of seconds, aiming it at Adam before he could even think to react.
Adam just stared at Hook in astonishment and bewilderment as he had a gun pointed at his forehead.
“Exit and Lie down on the floor. Hook ordered and Adam did.
'He's planted explosives in the house and he's got a remote!' Megan warned.
But it was too late, Adam pressed his belly against the floor and pressed the button that was in his jacket pocket, part of the house exploded. Abbie screamed in fright at the noise as she felt part of the roof collapsing onto her body and the smell of smoke entering her nostrils.
Megan was a few meters away from her, also lying on the ground, she was hit by a piece of wood from the roof and her leg was trapped.
- No! Abbie! Hook called after her. His knees hit the ground as he shoved debris out of the way to reach her. “I'm coming, Abbie.
He and Blade were still outside, so they weren't hit by anything when the inside of the house partially collapsed.
Terror spread through his heart as he cleared some debris from her body, the image of Abbie lying there like that destroyed him from within. He roared loudly. Blade was a few steps away from him tending to Megan who appeared to be conscious.
"Bring the stretcher!" Hook shouted.
The males that had surrounded the house appeared, Snow caught Adam who tried to escape and two others brought a small stretcher that he had in the helicopter.
“Please, Abbie. Open your eyes. — he inhaled and didn't smell blood, took his fingers to her wrist and felt the taps. Relief washed over him.
He moved her carefully to the stretcher and secured her body, she moaned in pain with her eyes still closed.
“You'll be fine, I promise. he said, feeling a lump in his throat.
Jinx and Book helped him load the stretcher into the helicopter. Then Blade came up with Megan in his arms.
“Pilot, Book. he asked, seeming not to want to let go of the female.
The male just nodded and took off. A team had already been called to fetch Snow who was watching Adam immobilized in the backyard of the house. The females needed urgent medical attention and could not take him with them in the helicopter.
On the way, Hook stroked the lying female's face and swallowed a painful growl. Never felt this way. He felt guilty. He knew she was running from an evil man and did nothing to stop her from leaving. His pride and his willingness to stay away from her just to control his feelings got the best of him and now she was hurt.
Hated himself. He felt his eyes burn with something he hadn't known what it was like to feel for a long time, tears. He would never forgive himself if something happened to her.
