HYBRID HOOK 32
Abbie stretched on the bed she was in and slowly opened her eyes. She was lying in the hospital bed dressed in a nightgown since when Hook took her she was only covered by a sheet because they had just had sex. Megan was at her side as the beds were large enough to accommodate the Hybrids. They spent the night together at the medical center, ate and rested a lot.
The bedroom door opened and Paul the orderly came in with a tray.
- Good Morning. I brought you both breakfast and then you can go. he said placing it on her lap.
"Good morning and thank you." Hook come for me? - she asked.
- No. He is prohibited from being near you for the time being.
Abbie had said they needed time away from each other, she remembered that. But hearing the nurse say those words didn't bring her the relief she thought she would feel. She was already getting used to Hook's care and having him pester her.
— The tray also has the vitamins you need to take, when we leave we will give you more and you must take them three times a day before meals.
- He is well. Thanks. she said and the nurse was gone.
- Good morning... - Megan said with a voice hoarse from sleep just waking up.
— Good morning, they brought breakfast. - Abbie said and Megan stood beside her.
- I am very hungry. He smiled, taking a piece of toast.
- Me too.
Abbie took the smoothie with a glass of juice and then ate half of what was on the tray. When the nurse came back, they had already eaten everything, they had already used the bathroom and the new toothbrushes that were on top of the sink.
“You are freed. Sorry for the delay, the day got off to a hectic start. Breeze is outside waiting to take them to the females' dorm. he said, and Abbie heard noises in the hallway.
- What's up? Megan asked.
“Looks like the males were inspired yesterday at the training ground. - he replied.
"Wait, did you say female dorm?" Abbie questioned.
“I thought they told you they were moving out of Hook and Blade's apartment and into an apartment in the females' dorm.
"Is it to keep Hook away from me?"
“Yes, you need reassurance.
- Right. And I was also the one who suggested some time away from each other. she murmured, not liking how that didn't make her feel relieved.
— In a week, come back for routine tests. I have to go, there are patches to be done. - the man said and left the room.
- How are you? Megan asked, stroking her friend's hair.
"Do you want the truth?"
“Of course, always.
“I thought it would feel good when Hook and I were away from each other, I suggested it, you know… But the truth is, I got attached to the idea of us being together all the time, I was liking how he took care of myself. being just for the baby and it bothers me a lot that I'm sad now that we won't be together.
"You love him, don't you?"
“He's so stupid, possessive, doesn't trust me because I'm human, and talks a lot of shit, but yeah.
“I yelled at him for you. — Megan laughed — Wow, you felt sick and you're pregnant, I thought he had done something to you.
— He would never hurt me, but I was very stressed by the way he took me out of the bar, but after we had sex, the anger went away, I spent a lot of energy, mainly vocally — she laughed — And I think the discomfort was just hunger, after all he went to get my food when we were at the bar and I was famished by then, and then there was all the fuss.
— Yeah, now he's banned from getting close to you. Doctor's orders.
“I don't like how that sounds, like he's a danger to me, he's not. Sometimes I put myself in his shoes and I don't know if I was right to press him to tell me about his past. If it's a very painful thing he might not want to remember, my heart aches for him but I just wanted him to trust me, it's the only way we can be together. I wanted some time away to think and not have him forbidden to be around.
"Talk instead of walking away then." You decide about your life, if you want to see him, go after him. I bet he won't come to you for fear of really putting you in danger. He was horrified when we told him he could make her lose the baby.
“Poor thing, Megan… He's no monster. But talking to him is difficult, he keeps wanting to distract me with sex and I can't resist him.
"Is it so good you can't fight it?"
“He just touches me in all the right places. He knows exactly what to do and how to do it.
"Must be awesome to have that." To be able to surrender to someone like that.
"Haven't you ever felt like giving yourself to someone intimately?"
- Lately yes ... - Megan blushed.
“Blade?”
- Yea. He is so perfect that it seems like a lie that such a man could exist. But I have a lot of insecurities, especially with my body. Johnny used to say that nobody but him would want me because I was overweight and that stuck with me, you know. Blade is so handsome to me that I think he's just being nice and I'm not on his level.
— Megan, you are beautiful, wonderful, nice, funny, believe in it, believe in yourself, don't let that asshole's words ruin a future with a wonderful man who will treat you the way you deserve. He's not just being nice, he's attracted to you, you can tell by the way he looks at you.
Megan looked at her friend with tears in her eyes.
“Thanks, Abbie.
While talking the two left the room and walked out of the medical center. Abbie was helping Megan to support herself because of her leg. At the reception there were some hybrid males talking, waiting to be assisted with some bruises on their faces.
- Hello! Breeze greeted them with a big friendly smile.
“Hi, Breeze. I haven't had a chance to thank you yet but I'd like to now, thank you so much for your help.
"I also really appreciate it." Megan said.
— No need, it's a pleasure to help good people, I like humans a lot.
- Thank you anyway.
They got into the car and talked about various things until they reached the women's building. They went down and up the elevators. When they entered the apartment, Abbie and Megan were amazed at where they would be living.
“Wow, it's really nice and neat in here.
- Yea. It's beautiful. “I've been to your house but I didn't notice much, I've been having a hard time and Hook's house is nice but it looks spotless here.
“They're newly renovated. I'm glad you like it, I'll let you settle in and make a list of kitchen supplies, cleaning products already there.
“I'd like my clothes, the ones Blade got me. Megan said.
"They've already been asked to bring it." They're in your rooms.
— Well... Thank you so much, I don't even know how to thank you for all of this. Abbie said.
“You're pregnant with a Hybrid so you're one of us too, we'd do anything for you and your baby and Megan is your friend, if it's important to you it's important to us too.
Abbie felt her eyes water and hugged Breeze.
Brezze said good-bye and left and all Abbie wanted was a shower and comfortable clothes. So he went to the bathroom. When he finished he felt better, except for an emptiness that dominated in his chest, he knew well what it was. I missed Hook. Maybe it wasn't just him who needed her as a need, Abbie needed him too.
But most of all, they needed a break.
The day of the exam arrived, a week had passed and during that time Abbie couldn't stop thinking about Hook, she was sad and she missed him terribly. Blade was spending a lot of time with Megan, the two were dating and he helped her with everything, so Abbie dismissed someone's help since she was fine to do everything alone.
She thought it would be difficult for Hook to respect the space between them and even fantasized about him sneaking up onto the porch at dawn and taking her as he once had. She woke up every night gasping after having hot dreams about him and then cried because he was taking so long to decide to trust her.
She wanted him so badly and that was the only thing that stood between them.
"I'm ready to take you." - Blade informed leaving the room with Megan at his side using amulets.
Abbie didn't miss the special sparkle she saw in their eyes.
"Will Hook be there?" Abbie asked anxiously.
“Absolutely. He put a small calendar on the fridge to count the days. Abbie's heart warmed.
- And how is he?
— Snarling at everyone, even me but I'm used to it. He misses you and thinks about you all the time and sometimes I hear him cry but he hates that I know that so I pretend I don't see it. But two days ago he started therapy with one of our graduates.
Abbie forgot how to breathe, her heart ached for him, she loved him and didn't like knowing he was suffering like this. It meant that he really had feelings for her.
“He said he's ready to talk to you but is waiting for the time when he's no longer considered a risk. He also resents being considered a danger to his own son's life.
“I never wanted him to feel this way. I never thought he was a danger to me or the baby. Abbie wailed with teary eyes and a heavy heart.
“You're not to blame for anything. We will. Everything will work out.
I hope so.
