Chapter 46 - The Wolf, Celeste
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
The words that were supposed to stay hidden in my mind got out of control. The instant that I heard that Stella was there on the day that my parents died just infuriated me down to my spine. I don't understand myself anymore. I kept on breathing in and out like I was out of air, and my limbs were starting to get cramped.
"Celestina, calm down." Siege tried to stop me from turning. "This isn't the right time for you to lose sanity, Celestina. You have to properly get yourself trained for the worst before you shift with your wolf," he said, which only proves that he was afraid of me.
I couldn't help but smirk. "You're just finding ways to stop me from killing you, Siege Wong," I coldly said with such a deadly gaze. "My wolf doesn't fear you at all, Siege... The only person that Celeste fears is your brother, and not you..." I mumbled along with a soft chuckle.
The expression on the alpha's face literally screamed how stunned he was. Even I, myself, wasn't expecting those to come out of my own mouth, as if it wasn't really me who was speaking.
"Perhaps Kristoffer really is my mate, and Sarina is just confusing me with you, the one who I believed to be my mate." I stomped my feet on the stony path before I firmly stood up. "What do you think, Alpha Siege?"
The alpha's aura changed from being cool-headed to someone who could take one's life away in the blink of an eye. "You're not Celestina, are you?" He had his head slightly bowed, so when he glanced up to me, I could sense the intensity of his bloodlust. "Get out of Celestina's body, you damn wolf spirit," he added.
I placed both of my hands on my stomach at the same time that I released an outburst of laughter. "It's not a surprise anymore that you're the first one to realize that I'm Celeste," I replied, holding on to my waist and looking down on him. "Now, explain yourself. Why did you tell Celestina about her parents' deaths if you completely had no idea how to deal with their consequences?" I questioned him.
However, instead of receiving a proper response, I had to quickly move backwards when the alpha attempted to launch a blow directly into my face. My lips curled into a wide grin when I noticed that he wasn't pleased with my presence.
"Bring her back, Celeste, or else..."
"Or else what?" I scoffed. "It's not like you would be able to do anything against me, Alpha Siege. You're a useless piece of crap; I don't even know how you got the title of an alpha when you're that weak," I said in provocation, which led to our duel.
Siege immediately ran to my spot as he grabbed both of my shoulders. He held it as tightly as he could. "Stop bluffing; you're just the same as me. There's nothing you could do when I was taking the lives of her parents. You hold no difference with me and Stella," he whispered with a ferocious gaze. He let out his sharp nails, causing my skin to get wounded by them.
I kicked his right leg, spinning my body around, to send him flying. Fortunately, I was able to regenerate my shoulders without any problems. "I wonder how Beta Kristoffer reacts when he witnesses us right now."
The alpha looked like he already had an idea of what I was planning to do, so before he could even stop me, I instantly hopped out of the yard. My feet touched the pointed tip of the wooden fences, but it didn't hurt me as I jumped from them. Gently bending my back, I ran quickly to reach the pack house.
There were a lot of pack warriors and common wolves who saw me, and I could hear all of them whispering that I had changed. "Of course I changed; this isn't the same wimp who's all talk," I murmured to myself, referring to Celestina, who's stuck inside my mind.
"What are you running for, Celestina?" Ace asked as soon as I stepped foot inside the lobby of the mansion. "Wait... those eyes..." He pointed at my face, and I could see how his finger shook. "You're not Celestina." He gulped, then bowed his head before he knelt one of his knees on the ground.
The people who were inside the same area as us noticed Ace and hurriedly kneeled as well. "So this is what it means to be feared by all, huh?" I crossed my arms in front of my chest with a smug expression. "Where's Beta Kristoffer, Ace?" I asked the warrior.
"Master Kristoffer is currently resting in his room, Miss Celeste," Ace replied with respect.
I ordered everyone to raise their heads and stand up to let them proceed with what they were doing. I headed upstairs, and when I reached the beta's room, I didn't bother to knock when I realized that the door wasn't locked.
"It's been so long, Beta Kristoffer," I said with a tender smile, shutting the door behind me and locking it. "I heard that you've been keeping Celestina away from danger's risk; I should thank you for that, shouldn't I?" I stopped walking when he rose up from the bed.
"Celeste... you finally showed yourself. What did you do to Celestina?" Beta Kristoffer asked, clenching tightly on the blanket that covered his bare legs, supposing that he was still in his sleepwear. "Get out of my room if you have nothing important to discuss with me, Celeste. I don't want to get myself involved with you anymore," he said.
I smirked, sitting on the corner of the beta's bed. I held the edge of the blanket, and when he looked elsewhere, I hurriedly pulled it away from his grasp.
"The fuck are you doing?" Beta Kristoffer tried to steal it back from me, but I threw it to the floor. He had no other option left but to use his pillows to cover his boxers. "Get out while I'm still asking nicely, Celeste. You should know best that I'm not the type of person who's nice when pushed to my limits," he warned.
"And that's what I like about you, Beta Kristoffer." I kneeled on top of the bed, placing both of my hands on it. "Tell me what your real feelings are, and I'll make sure to reciprocate it this time around," I softly mumbled at the same time that I crawled closer to his body.
I pinned him to the back of his bed, and now I have him stuck in a weird position with me.
