Chapter 50 - The Disruption
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
Amelia already left me on my own, and even though I caught up to her as she was about to take her exit, she managed to lock the door from the other side with the lever that she used earlier. So I went back down with my shoulders feeling heavy.
I stared at my hands, which had the keys to the weapons that I could use. A single shot from those guns would easily take them down, but I can't be overly confident. Knowing Siege, he wouldn't give me such an easy task. Shooting down those rogues would definitely not be the end of their lives, and I might just put myself at risk of death if I attempt to do it.
"Amelia could've at least told me what to do or where to shoot those wolves so I could precisely hit them without wasting bullets," I mumbled to myself, thinking that no one would reply.
"You're not going to be stuck there for days if I order Amelia to give you a hint, Celestina," Siege said to me through the speakers that were on the ceiling. "And another thing, those keys don't really work on those locks for the weapons. So you have no choice but to defeat those rogues with your brute strength alone. Do you understand?" Siege informed me, causing me to hurry and test the keys out only to be disappointed that he wasn't lying.
"Damn these keys," I grunted at the same time that I threw the keys on the ground. "I won't move an inch here for days until you come here on your own and fetch me, Siege. You know how stubborn I can get," I said, crouching in the corner of the room as I embraced my own legs.
"Didn't Amelia tell you that the cage that locks those rogues would be forced to break on its own after a duration of twenty-four hours?" Siege asked.
I literally gasped. "What?" I sighed. "You're just trying to find ways for me to die without letting my blood go through your hands, aren't you?"
A faint chuckle was heard through the speakers. "Not really. If you want me to come there and lend you a hand, just call me anytime. I'll be there in the blink of an eye," Siege assured.
"What if I call someone else instead of you? I doubt that they won't hear my voice here..." I glanced at the window where the sunlight was passing through. "This area is probably near the entrance of the gates itself. I bet that the beta or Ace would come running here without a second thought if they heard me scream," I added.
At first, I really thought that Amelia brought me underground to the pack house, but that didn't seem to be the case when I saw the direction of the sunlight. I scoffed when I didn't hear any response from the alpha after a few seconds of speaking.
I looked at the rogues, whose eyes were all set on me. They kept on showing their tongues, which were giving me the creeps. All of them were ready to have a feast with me. The wall creaked above, and I knew that someone was approaching. Although I wasn't expecting that it would be the alpha himself.
"I thought you weren't coming here unless I've defeated all of those." I pointed at the rogues. "Why are you here, as if I did something wrong?"
Siege held my waist as he pulled me close to him. I could sense his rapid heartbeat and the way that his hot breath reached my skin. "Haven't I made myself clear that I don't want to hear you say any other man's name?" He slightly pushed me away from him, making space for me to move.
I stepped backwards until I almost fell to the ground. Fortunately, Siege was quick enough to catch me with his bare hands. He said that I should be careful of where I was going before he let me go.
"That's plain obsession, Siege. I should also make myself clear that you already rejected me as your mate, so you also have no rights to prevent me from saying another man's name whenever I want," I coldly said to him, turning the other way to proceed to where I was crouching a few moments ago.
"If there's anything you want in order for you to accept me as your mate, just tell me. I'll do anything for you from now on, Celestina," Siege uttered.
The alpha's statement didn't have much impact on me. I couldn't feel the sincerity in his words. As if he only said those just to make me feel like I was special to him, when in fact, I'm not.
"I know damn well that I'm not suited to be the Luna, and I also know that you want someone who can fight for your entire pack—not someone like me who tends to be so fragile in every matter," I muttered.
Alpha Siege approached me, then knelt on the ground with one of his knees. He held my left hand with both of his hands. "That's why we're here, Celestina. I'm going to train you however you prefer. I'm here as your guide, as your support, as your protector... I'm here for you, Celestina," he said with such a serious expression on his face.
"Stop that, Siege. You're acting weird." I tried to pull my hand back, but he refused to release it. "You're just making me feel worse with this kind of training. The way that Ice trained me before was way better than your method," I said, forgetting the fact that one of the things that he hated the most was being compared to anyone else, especially if it's a person he dislikes.
"Ice, Ice, Ice..." Siege sipped air through his slightly parted lips. "I'm not the same person as Ice. I was born to be ruthless, I was born to lead, and I was born to be the alpha of my own pack. That only means that I'm much more cruel in every aspect, so you can't compare me to a lowlife, Celestina," he coldly muttered.
