Chapter 63 - The Agony
CELESTINA VILLARAMA’S POV
Even though I already had a few hours of rest since the incident yesterday, I was still feeling quite helpless. Ice remained with Leo, and they were never out of either one’s vision, even if they had to go to the bathroom.
I understand that they have to watch out for one another’s back, but Leo was going a bit too far; he’s going to traumatize Ice at this point if he still doesn’t stop. My mind was still going through so much, and I don’t think that seeing either of them would help me at all.
“Lady Villarama? The beta wants to see you downstairs,” said one of the butlers that was scattered along the wide space of the mansion. “He told me to let you hurry; it’s an urgent matter,” he added before he bowed his head with his hands above the others.
I hissed after I thanked him and took my leave. I wanted to try and avoid Leo for the entire day to see how it would change his personality towards me, but that was completely inevitable. No matter what I do, he will still be the same ruthless, manipulative, and bossy beta.
“What were you thinking about for you to frown that badly?” Leo appeared out of nowhere. “I’ve decided that we should just have a dual ceremony with the Crimson Moon Pack. I heard that they would also conduct a Luna Ceremony for Siege’s mate,” he informed me, causing me to slightly gasp as it was news to me.
There’s no way that Siege immediately decided to make Stella the Luna after spending a night with her there. I’m not even certain if they really did spend the night together or if they just stayed under the same roof.
“Where did you hear that?” I asked him out of pure curiosity, slightly forgetting yesterday’s event.
Leo had a lot of connections within the Dark Valley, and it was the only explanation that I needed. Just as I assumed, Stella did seduce Siege, but according to Leo’s source, it was unclear what method she used. I have doubts that Siege willingly did it with her, if ever they did let out their heat and satisfy their lusts.
“If you’re thinking that Siege isn’t that kind of man, well, then change your mindset. Siege is the worst trash that you’ll ever encounter in your entire life,” Leo suddenly said, disrupting my thoughts. “If you’ve already made up your mind to do the Luna ceremony with them, just inform me. I’ll be waiting for your decision until the end of the day,” he said, reverting the conversation back to the main purpose of why he called me here.
I roamed outside the mansion to get some fresh air. The atmosphere around me was already suffocating me to death. I just want to go back to my world and get this damn wolf spirit out of my body. It’s not even helping me during these types of times when I’m all by myself. The only friend that I could’ve relied on is now being held hostage by Leo.
‘Do you want me to shift with you and let him have a glimpse of death?’ Celeste asked through the depths of my mind.
I almost forgot about the existence of Celeste inside my body. If there was an opportunity that I could strike back against Leo, then that would be the only time that I’d release Celeste and let her take control of everything.
Now is not the right time yet, so I ignored my wolf in my mind.
***
I continuously wandered outside until midnight. I reached a small pond where the moonlight was shining brightly. It illuminated the water, making it sparkle in my vision. Having completely no other resort, I held onto my golden necklace at the same time that I crouched on the ground.
“I don’t know if you’re watching over us, but I need your help, Moon Goddess Sarina,” I firmly said, shutting my eyes to make my request sound sincere. “You’re my only hope right now. Please show yourself; we need to discuss something important,” I added, biting my lower lip until it bled.
After waiting for a couple of minutes, I didn’t see, hear, or even feel the presence of the moon goddess. It started to make me doubt whether she’s actually updated on everything that recently happened to me and all of us here. About half an hour had already passed, and there was still no response from the moon goddess, no matter how many times I called out to her.
Attempting to destroy the golden necklace wasn’t even an option. It didn’t allow me to at least crack it; there was protection.
“What are you doing here, Celestina?” Leo asked from behind, causing me to get back up on my feet. “Just so you know, there’s no more turning back. You can cry all you want, but there’s no possible way for you to bring Lucas back to life, if that’s what you’re eagerly wishing for,” Leo seriously mumbled, glancing at the moon.
I wiped my cheeks, even though I had no idea that there were tears on my face. “Mind your own business, Leo. Whatever I’m doing here shouldn’t concern you any further. You’re a step ahead of attaining what you truly want,” I coldly replied.
The beta cracked a laugh. “You’re right. As a token of appreciation, I should at least let you know about your sister’s current condition in the Crimson Moon Pack, right? Or if you don’t care about her that much, shall I inform you about Siege’s instead?” he inquired, finally glancing my way to meet my gaze.
My eyes widened. “What happened to Siege?” I anxiously asked, clenching both of my fists beside my hips.
A smirk formed on Leo’s lips. “Siege got your sister pregnant,” he answered briefly.
“What?” I gasped, refusing to believe what I just heard. “You’re joking, right?” I continuously shook my head, clutching on to some strands of my hair. “There’s no way that Siege made someone else pregnant other than his mate,” I uttered.
“I told you that he’s not the kind of person you think he is,” Leo commented.
The beta further told me about the possibility of the reasons why Siege did it with Stella. And the first thing that came to his mind was the fact that Stella passed his standards. Siege was searching for a probable Luna who was invincible and had the same principles as him. Someone who has an outstanding range of skills and strengths And someone who would never leave him and his pack for selfish reasons.
“How does Siege guarantee that Stella actually fits those standards? He hasn’t been with her for a long time, right?” I couldn’t help but blurt out the queries in my head to stop being curious.
There’s no way that he knew about Stella’s personality that deeply in such a short amount of time. And as far as I know, Stella has been residing within the Silver Moon Pack ever since she was born into this realm.
“Who knows? I’m not Siege for me to tell you the answer to that,” Leo replied. “Now that you’ve heard about Stella being pregnant with Siege’s child, are you now willing to be my mate and Luna and hold the ceremony together with the Crimson Moon Pack?” He asked for my assurance, but I still couldn’t give him a straight and proper response.
