Chapter 79 - The Vengeance
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
I haven't had a proper sleep for the entire night that I was staying together with Beta Kristoffer. I don't know if it's because this was the first time in Celestina's life to sleep together with a man, or if it's solely because I actually refuse this to happen from the depths of my heart. Although Beta Kristoffer wasn't really beside me in bed, I still couldn't be comfortable, even if he had already told me countless times that I shouldn't mind his presence under the same roof.
"You have to sleep, Celeste." Beta Kristoffer came into his room, the one where I'm staying. The beta gave me his permission to let me stay in his room while he was in the living room. "Is there something running through your mind for you to be that bothered to go have a good night's sleep?"
A faint smile curled on my lips at the same time that I moved my body to sit on the corner of the bed, letting my feet reach the ground. "I've been thinking of a way that can better convince Alpha Siege that we're serious about getting married," I answered, humming. "I don't think that your brother would fall for a simple lie like us holding a wedding on the same night as their ceremony," I added.
Beta Kristoffer opened the lights as he walked in, sitting right beside me on the same bed. "You're troubling yourself with the most trivial things, Celeste. How about you shift back to Celestina and let her handle things from now on? She's safer than her situation before; you can let her take over now," he suggested. His tone was softer than any other time that I've heard him talking to me.
I pouted, slightly shaking my head twice. "You just want to have Celestina back so you can throw him to Siege," I said, turning down his suggestion.
"That's not what I'm planning, Celeste," Beta Kristoffer uttered. He placed his hand above mine, and that's where I felt that he was serious this time around. "If Celestina is the one to talk to Siege about this matter, I'm absolutely certain that he'd believe her now. As you said, the situation has changed."
I removed his hand that was above mine as I stood from the bed, heading over to the small fridge to get bottled water.
"I already have a plan in mind, Celeste. You just have to play along and go with the flow. I'm sure you can at least do that much, right?" Beta Kristoffer asked.
I gulped the water down. "Tell me about it first, then I'll decide whether to let Celestina out again or not."
The beta rose from the bed, walking towards the balcony, where I followed him. He glanced at the night sky, which was already nearing sunrise. Beta Kristoffer stretched out his arm, as if he wanted to hold onto the stars that were still present in the sky.
"You want to take revenge against both Siege and Stella, right?" he asked before he glanced my way as he dropped his arm back to his side.
"Of course. Who wouldn't want to have their vengeance against those two?" I scoffed, leaning on the railings. "Don't tell me that you're going to suggest that we'd take their lives and just replace them as the alpha and the luna of the Crimson Moon Pack?" I tilted my head sideways, hoping that it wasn't the idea that he was talking about.
"We can kill Siege inside, Celeste," Beta Kristoffer replied, squinting his eyes. "Just like how they had sex while you were in the Silver Moon Pack, we should do it, too," he said.
I couldn't help but gasp at how absurd his suggestion was. "What the actual fuck? I thought you guys didn't want to get Celestina in trouble?" I heaved out a loud sigh. "Or are you suggesting that because you really want to have sex with me first before you can let Siege steal me back?"
Beta Kristoffer gave me a confusing look. "I won't dare touch the mate of the alpha. And as his brother, I still want to give him a little bit of respect."
I repetitively shook my head. "I don't understand what you want to happen out of this, Beta Kristoffer." I attempted to walk inside the room, but he held my wrist. "If you're going to try to lie to Alpha Siege about us having sex, that won't work on him. He can definitely detect if you're telling the truth or merely a hoax to make a fool out of him," I said before I aggressively pulled my arm away from his grip.
"We wouldn't know unless we tried, Celeste," he said in such a serious tone.
The color of Beta Kristoffer's eyes changed to blue, indicating that he was starting to get furious. So I was left with no choice other than to let him do as he pleased. I invited him to go back to the alpha's office.
"Does Siege sleep early?" I asked out of pure curiosity as we were heading back into the mansion.
Beta Kristoffer shook his head in response. "Siege doesn't even get enough sleep each day. He literally just dozed off for half an hour, then that's it; he's awake for the rest of the day until the next sunrise."
The way that Alpha Siege thinks things through and the way that his sleep schedules are messed up make me wonder how his mind still functions. Though I know that he wouldn't be an alpha if he was easily swayed by a lack of sleep.
I knocked on the door of the alpha's office as soon as we got on his floor. "Alpha Siege, it's me. I have something to tell you," I said as I twisted the door knob, then pushed the door open.
I saw the alpha resting his head above his crossed arms that were on the table. He was facing the other side of the room, so I wasn't sure if he knew that we were already inside his office.
"Are you sleeping?" I walked near the side of his table to check whether he was really asleep or pretending. "Maybe my statement will make you open your eyes," I jokingly muttered.
Beta Kristoffer sat on the vacant chair, gesturing to me to continue whatever I was meaning to say to the alpha, since he was the one who confessed about our marriage earlier. So, without any further hesitation, I slightly bent my back to place my mouth closer to his ears, making it only an inch apart from them.
"I had a rough night with your brother in his bedroom, Alpha Siege," I whispered to him, purposely trying to sound like I had a lot of pleasure while I did it with Beta Kristoffer.
I immediately stepped back when my chin was barely hit by Alpha Siege's head when he tilted his head up. I rubbed my chin while I had a wide grin on my lips.
"What did you say?" Alpha Siege asked, even though I know that he already heard it clearly the first time that I said it, but I still repeated it for the sake of his satisfaction. "You had sex with Kris? This man? Why?" He pointed at his brother with his lips slightly parted from one another.
"What do you mean, why? There's no reason why I shouldn't have a night with my soon-to-be husband and the soon-to-be father of the pups that I'd give birth to, is there?" I humbly replied with my chin up to show him that I wasn't joking around.
The alpha instantly got up from his seat, marching towards me. He didn't stop walking until he got me cornered with both of his hands pinned to the wall, trapping me within his arms to eradicate all of my escape routes.
"You can't fool me, Celeste. You can't do that to me; you can't have other men touching you so freely and willingly!" Alpha Siege raised his voice, his eyes widening in frustration.
