Chapter 80 - The Lifting
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
I have spent the rest of the midnight in the alpha's office, though we were also together with Beta Kristoffer, since he insisted that he should also be present in the same room as me, letting Siege remember that it wasn't him who's supposed to be with me at all times and that it should be Beta Kristoffer.
And now that it's already morning, Alpha Siege is still being clingy. He has never left my side, and it was the same for his brother. I was beginning to feel irritated, and at this point, I've also started to regret why I had to tell him a lie that I had sex with Beta Kristoffer.
If only I had known that Alpha Siege would end up this way, instead of turning completely cold towards both me and his brother, I would've just shut my mouth.
"Aren't you supposed to be with Stella?" I asked him at the same time that I slammed the plate loudly on the dining table on purpose, to let him know that I wasn't happy with how he was acting.
Alpha Siege waved his hand sideways, indicating that I should shrug that thought off. "Stella can handle herself. She wouldn't do anything that would bring her down; she values her title more than anything else anyway," he answered.
"You're acting really weird today, Siege," Beta Kristoffer said, picking up my plate as he served me the dish.
The three of us were in the dining room, and Amelia was supposed to be the one to serve us our meals, but she excused herself the instant that she saw me.
"Is it really weird for me to care about my mate more than someone else?" Alpha Siege questioned his brother. "You're just envious that I have a mate now, Kris." He smirked, as if he hadn't committed a sin against me.
I didn't eat, even though they had started to eat their meals. "Are you seriously going to insist that we're mates?" I sighed. "You fucked my sister, Alpha Siege. Do you think Celestina would easily forgive you and forget that incident?" I added, refusing to let the alpha feel confident.
The alpha nodded his head. "Celestina is much kinder than you are, Celeste."
I bit my lower lip as I tightly held the knife in my left hand. If only I could, I would've struck it directly on Alpha Siege's neck, then slit his throat open.
If only Celestina wasn't holding me back.
"All of you are eager for Celestina to return, so I'll take my leave." I bowed my head, shutting my eyes as I showered all of my focus onto my mind, where Celestina was held captive.
Releasing her from the chains in my mind, I let her shift back and switch with me.
"Celestina?" Siege called out to me with such a tender voice.
I can't explain how my heart instantly fluttered just with that. "Hmm?" I raised my head to face the alpha. "Did Celeste do something wrong?" I asked, unaware of whatever happened while my wolf was taking control over my entire body and mind.
Siege shook his head. "Nothing in particular. I'm glad to see that you're back," he replied, along with a genuine smile, making me wonder what occurred among the three of them, since this really wasn't how the alpha usually acts.
I glanced at Kris, then raised one of my eyebrows to ask him what happened. "Remember how we barely escaped from the Crimson Moon Pack warriors inside the Silver Moon Pack's turf?" he asked, and I nodded for him to continue. "We had a drink with the others, then I brought you to my house, and we declared that we'd be married on the same night of the Luna ceremony."
"What?"
"That's not everything yet. Tell him what you did to her, Kris." Siege demanded his brother tell the whole story.
Kris had this expression on his face that tells me that he was hesitant to speak up. "Don't you feel sore down there?" He pointed below, making me glance in between my thighs.
It took me a few seconds to sense if there were any changes in the way I felt down there and if my thighs were aching, but I felt nothing. The next second that I returned my eyes to Kris, I noticed a gesture from his other hand that was out of Siege's vision.
It was a gesture for me not to tell the truth to the alpha.
"Now that you mention it, it hurts. I couldn't notice its pain when Celeste shifted back." I kept on rubbing my thighs together to let the alpha see that I was having a hard time. "Did we really do that? Why would Celeste..."
"It's because of our marriage. And besides, Siege did it with Stella. Let's not hold a grudge against each other, since we both wanted it to happen last night," Kris cut me off, causing me to gasp, unable to contemplate how he could tell a lie that smoothly.
Siege stood up from his seat. "Let's go out, Celestina. We need to go somewhere to verify something important," he said, stretching his arm to lend me his hand.
I looked at his large palm, wondering if I should take it or not. But before I could decide for myself, Siege grabbed my arm and let his hand slide through my skin until it reached my hands. He pulled me out of the dining hall, and when I gave one last glance to Kris, I caught him nodding his head at me, as if to tell me that I should abide by whatever his brother would tell me.
We crossed paths with Amelia, and she literally stared at me for minutes, so I greeted her with a smile, and she did the same.
"Did Celeste hurt your maid or something?" I asked Siege as we left the mansion.
Siege shook his head once. "She's just mainly terrified of Celeste; she believes the rumor that your wolf kills anyone she dislikes."
Siege hasn't let go of my hand until we've reached our destination. Fortunately, we haven't crossed paths with Stella, because if we did, I wouldn't know how I would explain my current situation to her. Although I think Celeste had already confronted my sister since my wolf was the aggressive type.
"Why are we back here?" I asked, looking at the portal that has already grown to be as big as a watermelon.
"I just need to confirm something," Siege said briefly before he released his grip on my hand, forcing me to turn my whole body around to face him.
The alpha's hands rested on my shoulders. He never removed his eye contact with mine as his hands were continuously roaming my body, until it stopped on my hips.
"Are you sure that you spent the night with Kris? Do you really feel different down there?" Siege curiously asked. His tone sounded like he was about to burst into tears, which was quite unusual for me to hear.
My lips slightly parted as I looked elsewhere. "I-I don't know. I only said what Kris wanted me to say. You know that Celeste's memories have nothing to do with mine," I replied with a faint sigh.
Siege moved his hands away from my body. "I'm sorry for casually touching you without your permission, Celestina. I was just really worried that someone else had already stolen your first time," he muttered in a low voice.
I crossed my arms in front of my stomach. "Then, what about you? Did you really get my sister pregnant?" I questioned him, sending him the most ferocious gaze that I could give.
The way that his throat moved, letting me see his slow gulps, made my heart ache.
