Chapter 81 - The Wedding
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
I still couldn't believe that tonight would be the Luna ceremony, since I thought that it would be held back for a few weeks or so. And another thing that will take place on the same night will be Master Kristoffer's announcement regarding our marriage. I still haven't told Kris that his brother already knew that the two of us lied to him.
Siege brought me back to the mansion, then told me to go on and prepare for tonight's event. However, since the beta was clueless, he insisted that I should go back with him to his house instead of staying with the alpha.
"People would judge you if you stay with Siege for too long, Celeste. You should know that best. And besides, we're also going to be one of the stars for tonight's event, not only the two of them," Kris mumbled as he gave me such a warm smile, which kind of made me feel guilty for leaving him in the shadows.
We went to his house, but considering that Kris doesn't have any feminine wear, we decided to go to the nearby mall to buy whatever would suit me for the event. Stella might not have sent me an invitation, but I have the Wongs siblings to let me enter their venue, so I might as well look the prettiest there and let my beauty outshine her.
I can't let Stella feel that she's going to be the woman that Siege will choose for his entire life.
I let the beta choose which one among the dresses I've picked up from the store was more presentable, and he told me to wear the crimson-themed one since it was a fascinating color for me to wear, knowing that it matches the pack's name and my long crimson hair.
"Are we supposed to prepare a gift for them, or there's no need?" I asked Master Kristoffer as he guided me outside the mall.
He was the one who carried the paper bag that had my attire. We also went to the accessories stall, as well as the undergarments and footwear. The beta wanted to insist that I should go on and have my hair done by the professionals, but I hated having my hair touched by other people that I'm not that close with.
"There's no need for gifts. They're not conducting a children's party," Master Kristoffer replied, and he kept his mouth silent until we arrived at his house. "I'll be fetching you in about an hour and a half," he said before he left me inside his room, the same one where I stayed the first time that I came here.
The moment that I looked at myself through the mirror, I started to hear my wolf's voice howling inside the depths of my mind. It was like she was so agitated to the point that she wanted to shift with me again.
'What are you going to do with Alpha Siege?' Celeste questioned me.
I shrugged my shoulders at the same time that I combed my hair. "Siege will be the one who I end up with in the end, that's for sure. But for now, I'll stick around with Kris and see how things would work out between the three of us, or rather, four, because of that damn Stella," I mumbled as softly as I could.
I can't risk letting the beta know about what was rummaging through my mind.
I spent more than half an hour setting up my makeup and my hairstyle. And the most important thing was wearing the crimson dress that reached the floor. I just hope that it won't make me trip later on.
I heard some knocks on the door. "Celeste, are you done?" Master Kristoffer asked from the other side of the door, and before I could answer, he opened the door. "I knew that you were..."
"You knew that I was what?" I tilted my head sideways, wondering what he wanted to say.
The beta only managed to stare at me after gazing at me from head to toe. His eyes were literally sparkling, as if this were the very first time for him to see someone as glamorous as me.
"Don't stare at me for too long, Kris; I might melt," I jokingly mumbled at the same moment that I walked towards his spot, slightly leaning my head and body closer to him. "What do you think? Does it suit me? Do you think that everyone who will attend the Luna ceremony will also think that I'm beautiful?" I consecutively questioned him, causing him to be baffled.
"Y-yes, you look great. I told you that I have the perfect taste when it comes to dresses," he replied, looking elsewhere.
I smirked when I realized that Master Kristoffer was getting shy as he gave me his compliment. "Have you completely fallen for me already, Master Kristoffer?" I teased him, pressing one of my fingers onto his chest countless times.
The beta caught my finger, and he held it firmly as his grip moved to my entire hand. He placed it in front of his chest, and that was when I sensed how quickly his heart was beating, as if it would explode at any given time.
"This is how crazy I've become, Celeste. I know that I shouldn't have fallen for my brother's mate, but what can I do?" Master Kristoffer asked. His voice sounded like he was about to tear up any second now. "You have to be responsible for how you acted, even though I know that it was your wolf who continuously attempted to seduce me and not you," he added before he brought our hands down back to our sides.
Master Kristoffer invited me to go out of his house now, telling me that time was running out and we had to be an hour early before the real event began. Considering that we have to sneak our way inside the venue, we have to be there before both Siege and Stella come.
"Aren't you afraid that you'd be deemed someone who stole their brother's mate once you declare our upcoming wedding? What if they end up insulting the both of us since I've already been once banished by the alpha of their pack? And also, I'm still an omega of the Silver Moon Pack?" I confusingly asked the beta as we made our way inside the mansion.
We made use of the same route where I hid my presence before, the one near the training facilities that wasn't known by a lot of them.
"No one would be able to defy me once I announce that I'm claiming you as mine, Celeste. And another thing, we're going to leave this pack for good afterwards, so there's no need for you to worry about being banished by Siege or whatever," Master Kristoffer answered.
I couldn't help but gulp. Even from afar, I could already hear the crowd that was in the venue and was waiting for the arrival of their alpha.
I thought that we would've had a peaceful waiting time in this secluded room, but I was mistaken when I felt a pair of hands touch my shoulders from behind.
"Why are the two of you hiding here?" Siege asked, causing me to look at him.
This was the first opportunity for me to witness Siege wearing such formal attire. It was undeniably hot to my eyes, and if only we were the only ones living in this realm, I would have already pulled him and removed every single piece of his clothing.
"I don't want to cross paths with Stella," I answered without any hesitation.
The alpha laughed. "She's already on stage. Come with me, and I'll be the one to introduce you to the crowd," he said.
I glanced at Master Kristoffer, not knowing that he also glanced my way, so our eyes immediately met. He shrugged his shoulders when I asked him what made Siege act that way, as if Siege was having a good day.
Even so, we still followed Siege around until we finally reached our destination. I thought that the venue was going to be in the same lobby where they had their practice sessions, but it wasn't.
We headed over to the underground basement, where I never knew that such a huge hall had been built. There were a lot of people that were seated, and the moment that Siege came out to the stage, all of them gave him a round of applause.
"I appreciate all of you who came here to this very special event. You've been waiting for centuries for our pack to have a rightful Luna, and today will be the day that our waiting will come to an end!" Alpha Siege loudly announced.
His voice echoed all throughout the hall, even though he wasn't using the microphone.
"And before I officially tell all of you who I picked to be my chosen mate and the Crimson Moon Pack's Luna..." Alpha Siege paused for a while, glancing at the area where I was hiding. He nodded his head once as if to give me a signal that I should come up on stage after he called for me. "Let's all welcome Celestina Villarama and Beta Kristoffer Wong! They would be announcing when their marriage would be and where it would take place," he said, clapping his hands as he walked away from the center of the stage.
I bit my lower lip as I clenched both of my fists. My footsteps got heavier with each second that I marched forward.
There's no room for us to back down now that we're here in front of everyone.
